I don’t own one, but I enjoy helping people too much to quit just cause my footsteps are rainbow-tastic.
Even trinity games are trying to break away from being trinity. FFXI for example. At first it was as trinity as it could get. Now, as long as you have whatever DPS role the devs have beefed up for the month, and a scholar, you can beat just about anything.
I did like trinity games. I liked strategy. But to say this game lacks strategy isn’t true. Try doing a dungeon with PUG. You would think if they just listened, it would be easy. But for me, it never has been. There’s always been at least 1 or 2 people that have made it difficult in one way or another that had forced me into working around them.
I don’t know what activities you are doing that you can afk and auto attack, other than maybe some DE and a certain boss in HOTW.
Trinity games are quickly becoming a thing of the past. I don’t know where this idea that TESO will be trinity is coming from. If you watch the video, it sounds like it will be exactly like GW2.
If GW1 is your idea of a good game, stick with it, cause likely there will never be another game like it.
I made a Sylvari 3 times before I finally made my Sylvari Mesmer and am completely happy with her. Don’t be afraid to take a lot of time. Do lots of different combos of colors. Dark colors with dark, light with light, light and dark, earthy colors, bright colors, fall colors. And so on.
And you can always change the look later too.
By the sounds of it, there wont be a Trinity in TES:O either. Actually, so far TES:O sounds a lot like GW2, just with TES lore.
I assume you play Warrior or Guardian. Try playing an ele or mesmer. You definitely can’t afk on auto attack, then.
At least rare dyes should. There’s only maybe 5 rare dyes that I and many people I know really aim for. Most of the shades I like are in uncommon.
I’d have loved if female human’s were voiced by Laura Bailey. She’s very talented. Probably could have provided a few different voices to give more variety, even.
And I kinda wish Norn had an Irish kinda accent. If Sylvari can have British, why can’t Norn have Irish?
Otherwise, I have no complaints. No more that come to mind, at least.
I would definitely love more reasons to spend more time in the starting cities.
Yes, I would loooove longer hair styles for female Sylvari, too. That’s the reason I only have 1 Sylvari. I just cannot bring myself to play any character with short hair. :/
I hope they still add this stuff. I’ve never keg brawled, but I don’t really like PVP. Mini pets I would do though. The musical thing too.
Or they’re making dungeons soloable. :p
Also, you don’t have to shatter – in a phantasm type build – until the enemy is almost dead.
Sylvari for sure!
I think they added a new WP in Plains of Ashford. Or, I’m told it’s new. Maybe that’s it?
Yeah, I’m aware of the site and my experience with it is…well, I flipping hate it. I know ANET is working on LFG Tool so I’m just waiting on that for time being.
They are? May I have a link to this? Last I heard from some players was they never intended to, so likely wont.

Get it all again for another character?
Getting close to the end and then dying would make me rage. Not to mention that even though I’m not great at jumping puzzles, I still love doing them. I wouldn’t last long with that in mind. :p
Honestly, dungeons aren’t as hard or as easy as either sides are making them sound. Yes, you do need to learn them, so if an entire guild doesn’t know how, it wouldn’t hurt to bring in someone who knows what theiy’re doing for your first run.
But even if you have someone who knows what they are doing, there are still circumstances that can make a run take longer, no matter how experienced you or your party is. There are still circumstances where you will die, or maybe even wipe. Sure, as you become more familiar, the chances of that happening are a whole lot less, but it is still possible. Which is how it should be.
The guild I’m in, we are all pretty skilled. If we spam AC, by the fourth time, we rarely make mistakes. But if we do other dungeons other than AC for a few days and go back to AC, we might or might not wipe against Spider Queen the first 2 times, next time a few of us might die. Generally after that, we do fine.
TLDR; they are possible with practice, but even then dying and wiping is still possible. Making them a little easier wouldn’t hurt. Especially for PuG runs.
“Pain for pain!” annoys me cause one time I was really tired and it sounded like she said “Paper plate!”
“Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear. Do not fear.” spamming “1” in Tome of Courage.
“Shake it off!”
“Quick, kill it!” makes me smile every time. Love the skritt.
“Here! Over here.” and “This one.. kill.”
“For the Tamini!” makes me laugh cause my brother was walking by and said, “you are fighting over paninis?” with a very bewildered look on his face.
“Listen! I think we have more spies!” buuuugggs me.
Thank you!
Will definitely check out the link.
6/10 Not common which I like, but not as creative as some of these other names.
Female mesmer Sylvari, Shyla Shylac.
Bored in a hotel room with internet that isn’t good enough to play GW2, so I’m toying with builds for when I get my mesmer to 80.
http://www.gw2build.com/builds/balanced-phantasm-mesmer-staff-focus-sword-glamour-10224.html
In this build you would be weapon swapping a lot. It’s intended to be a balance of DPS, support and survival for both you and your phantasms in PVE, dungeons, and hopefully fractals.
If it sucks, any links to PVE/dungeon/fractal phantasm builds with staff as the main weapon would be much appreciated!
8/10 I like it. It’s simple, but not at all common.
Shyrith, my female ele.
It bugs me. Not enough to mute the game, though. But I do like the males.
Another thing that bugs me; Character Customization has come a long way in many newer MMO’s. So you have the possibility of many different looks, but for every look, the voice is the same? I know it would cost the company more, but.. It bugs me!!
I fully expect people to pick up my weapon when I set it. If it’s for someone I’m grouped with, I will say. If it gets picked up by someone else anyway, oh well. At least it’s being used! It really annoys me when I set it and no one else uses it.
