I named my Electrical Wyvern “Not Worth it”. :/

Astral Wisp and Vine Surge I think both need some minor tweaks.

For Vine Surge, I think the only change needed is adding one or 2 more seconds to the immobility.

Astral Wisp, I don’t know. As others have said, it is not worth it to stop auto-attacking with staff. It travels too slow, and doesn’t heal enough.

I’ve brought out my bear to tank a few champions, just to see. With just auto-attacking, I was able to keep it’s health more steady. If I stopped to cast Astral Wisp, the bears health would dip a good amount, and the wisp did not make up for what was lost.

So, I guess, speed up the travel time, and increase the amount of healing it does.

For “Screen” and “Sleep” I have them both turned to “Never”.

I think that is everything you asked for.

Tried the 64 bit client in hopes that it would somehow help. It did not.

I love playing, when I am able to. But this is very frustrating..

Anyone? Any ideas?

It happens randomly. Anywhere from right as the game launches, to 3 hours later. My monitor says there is no input but my computer is still on and I can still hear the music.

I have found only one other thread that had the exact problem I do, and it suggested to lower the GPU clock settings down to 750 MHz through the Catalyst Control Center. They provided a screen shot of what it would look like.

So I went into CCC to take a look, and it looks nothing like what their screen shot did. It’s just a blue bar and some text that states it’s running on “Balanced”. Not being a tech savvy person, I asked my brother about it and he told me doing that is a big no-no unless I want to fry my system.

The only other thing that has worked, is putting all settings to the lowest possible while in the game. But I am able to play FFXIV on near maximum settings with no problems. And though it is not an MMO, I can play a more demanding game than FFXIV, like Dragon Age: Inquisition with no problems. And while I was trying ESO, again, no problems.

I have no idea what information might be needed, so if anyone has any ideas on how to fix it, but you need other information, I’m afraid you might have to walk me through it.

Other things I have tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling
-Repairing
Drivers are up to date
Running in windowed mode
Running as admin
I am directly connected to the modem through an ethernet cord

I have spent around 12 hours total, give or take. Only one map made it to the dragon, but it bugged out.

Definitely a little frustrating.

Could take the chime at the end away. Or just lower it.

I like the owls bird noise the way it is.

Compared to FFXIV it’s a lot better. Just like that person said, there are some rotten apples here. But overall, going from that game and back to this one has been interesting. Even the elite 10k ap people have been more kind than the elite XIV are.

Earlier I witnessed 2 people arguing over ambient farms. Things started to heat up. Called each other idiots. Then one one them suggested that they just team up. And they did.

It was weird. That’s just the most recent example I can think of.

Now I just need to work on ascended armor..

Chibi, I’m the exact same way and have the same problem.

I think it could be fixed easily if they would just let us store gold in our personal banks again. Any gold we keep with us will be in the wallet, so across all characters.

I really, really miss being able to store gold in the personal bank. There’s no RMT issues with that either.

I came back to GW2 about a month (maybe more) ago after a year and a half break. Decided to work on a legendary. I have spending problems, and found out that the bank doesn’t store gold any more. A friend said I could store it in a guild bank. So I did. Got up to 900 gold and when I went to withdraw it, that’s when I saw the information about the limit.

I had been pretty excited, thinking I would maybe finish my legendary that night.

In my opinion, something needs to change. Even if it’s something as simple as putting the withdraw limit information also on the deposit button. Waiting 2 weeks wont kill me, but if I had known about it, I simply wouldn’t have done it.

I have 2 requests, if possible. Victory Fanfare and Game Over from any of the Final Fantasy’s.

You will likely get kicked from pug fracs if you are too lazy to change a utility slot. So I hope you have a static group you do everything with.

Your crediblity is rapidly deminishing when you make claims like that, and that 2 necros share bleeding. They just don’t. There must have been something else you weren’t taking into account. Which at this point wouldn’t surprise me.

I think the point Pyro is making is, you could do so much more damage by changing your 7, 8 and 9. An example he already gave is the ettin in harpy fractals. When he throws his boons up, use arcane thievery and then signet of inspiration. Just by doing that, everyone is doing more damage and has better survivability. Even just taking the boons off of the ettin makes it go so much faster. So even just Null Field would be better than those mantras.

The mantras are only helping you.

For the harpies, just changing one for feedback would help, if you have focus traited as well. I have seen harpies do 3k damage to themselves just in one hit, nevermind their rapid fire attack. They nearly kill themselves with that.

It keeps your party members from falling, so they are there to do more damage. All of that combined, I dare say, is more damage than you could do with the matra set up you have.

You definitely party with wrong mesmers. My usual frac set up is either me, always mesmer, 2 guards, a warrior and either another warrior, or another mesmer. Usually the other mesmer and I are the last to be downed. And we both main sword, so we aren’t even ranged.

The only time I go down very easy is the fire eles in the grawl fractal, which I’m getting better at each time. And I must say, feedback and the 2 glamour cd traits are a must have for grawl frac.

Was talking to my guild, and we all have agreed we would pay a good amount of gold for a mini singing Coddler. Maybe make him sing every 30 mins, and only the owners can hear it? Is that possible?

Thanks to the 2 SF guards that 3 of us ETers were messing with, for unintentionally allerting us to the HoD zerg behind us. :p

And thanks all for the encouragement. Some of us really need it! There is a handful more of us that weren’t in that screen shot for whatever reason, but our numbers are indeed very small.

As a mesmer myself, I have not stayed in a keep to portal. But I do know that a mesmers stealth options do not last long, so they had better have a thief. I go into corners and use the temporal curtain pull, and chaotic field. And I stay there for at least a minute and then move on. I have found mesmer and thief parties a few times that way.

Also, I do not do this alone. I usually have a thief friend with me to stealth me so they don’t see me coming.

My zerker did 7k just now. Rushed here to see if it was fixed. Tried again and went back to 3k. Sadness.

I suggest leveling another profession and see if you don’t have as hard a time. Maybe a bunker build. Or read about the many different ways you can tell a clone apart from the real mesmer. Watch youtube vids of mesmers and see if you notice a pattern and what you can do to counter it.

A good amount of mesmers I know run with very little to no condition damage removal. Mesmers are fine where they are. You just need a little more practice.

You could do both gs and staff. Though traiting for both is pretty demanding and wouldn’t leave you much to work with for shattering or phantasms. Probably be best to trait for staff, then phantasms or shatter. Ignore gs traiting imo.

As for what stats, maybe rabid? Or power, vit and condition if you are more into support.

Would I be fine to transmute the flower onto my infused beta fractal capacitor? Or would that still get rid of the infused slot? I assume it just doesn’t work with jewel slot, but want to make sure.

Anyone know?

What profession isn’t easy to play, other than maybe engi?

Weird. It has saved me more times than it has killed me. By far.

In pve at least.

Another you might have fun with is necro. The minions aren’t as hardy as a rangers pet. And might be more of a situational use depending on your build. But if built right, necros can do tons of damage over time, have good crowd control/survivability and can be a little tanky. With staff and scepter being ranged.

Looks good to me. If I used those weapons that is what I would go for.

Do you feel like you aren’t putting out good dps? Your stats look fine to me as well.

The only thing I see missing is Phantasmal Strength (25 in inspiration), that could help boost your phantasm dps. But you would have to give up your weapon cool down traits, which may not be worth it to you if nothing else in that line is appealing.

You can experiment with it in pvp, unless that is what you are asking for in the first place. Then it is probably best to keep your cool down traits.

That is what I would do. Maybe someone else who uses the same weapons could help you more. Good luck.

I like the sylvari run. Especially in comparison to the human run. Human run seems too… boxy to me. While the sylvari run seems child like/endearing, which I think goes well with their curious and naive nature.

Might be your server. Or my server is the odd one out. While mesmers are still pretty popular, I still see an almost equal amount of necros. And maybe even more thieves. Not just in spvp, but wvw and even pve.

To avoid this, if I don’t take fall damage when I know I should have, I wait two seconds and then blink further out. Dont take any fall damage at all that way.

This bug doesn’t happen reliably enough to be an exploit, so I wouldn’t try it as one. :p

Probobably won’t happen. Someone in a guild I was in bought $200 worth of gems to trade for gold just to get really expensive weapons that better fit his characters armor.

But I would also love to see this, and hope it does happen regardless.

I doubt it will happened. But if it did, anet would make a killing from it what with how often they nerf professions, and people quit x profession and level y profession. A few friends of mine wouldn’t have quit if it didn’t mean having to get ascended gear all over again for a same type of build, just different profession.

Does pet HP increase count for clones/phantasms?

I hadn’t played Guild Wars. Not even sure I had heard of it. But my brother was looking for a new MMO to play and he thought I might like this game as well. So we read reviews, etc. But one of the biggest things for me in any game is character customization/creation.

So I started watching videos on that, and saw Sylvari. I’ve always been drawn to nature/elfish type things. So when I got the game, the very first character I started to make was a Sylvari. But, the lack of hair styles kinda put me off. So my first character I made and got to level 21 was a norn ranger.

Finally, after many deletes and creating and profession/race experimenting, and 2 level 80’s later, my main is now a level 80 sylvari mesmer. And now even though all my sylvari look the same other than in color, I can’t not make a sylvari.

Plus, the grove is just too beautiful. Spent so much time there even as other races.

Just makes me wonder what people are going to complain about next, and after that, and after that. Almost makes me want to just abandon ship, because the nature of mesmer is it’s versatility and that is what people seem to have a problem with. Getting rid of one “problem” will only make more arise until mesmer is…. what?

Anet may as well just save their time, and ours by taking mesmer out completely if this continues.

And no, I’m not a condition build mesmer.

I’ve played my mesmer for 389 hours and I’m still learning and testing new things about it. I have 2 other level 80s; a guard and an ele. I haven’t been on either one other than for SAB ever since I leveled mesmer. Can’t say that I sympathize.

But, you might enjoy ele. Or if you like underdog, necro and engi are severly under-estimated depending on PVE or PVP.

I’ve never seen my zerker fail that bad. :/ It does at least always tag a group. The damage is far from amazing, yes. But tagged they are.

Warden would definitely be able to tag them, so long as they are already grouped. If not, you could try to carefully place a temporal curtain and hope it pulls a few to the warden.

It changes a lot. I do always have blink though. Usually I have nullfield, decoy, blink and timewarp. Sometimes I switch out nullfield or decoy for feedback when the situation calls for it.

To answer the above, decoy has helped me and my group easily pass by the trash in dungeons. They follow close behind me, I hit decoy and the clone runs into the trash and even a distraction that small for those few seconds makes a difference. Then I can just dodge roll, blink ahead of them and set up veil. Very handy for PUGs in TA.

Or to shake aggro when you have 700 hp left and 3 seconds left on ether feast during a boss.

To expand on this, maybe also add a stat filter. I’ve seen older games have better filters than this game, really.
