Guild Wars 2

I want to play into the storyline before I really get into PvP, I have no armor class preference, I just want something good for soloing/grinding through PvE. I do like AoE damage but versatility is nice aswell, thinking of trying a Mesmer, any advice?

I take it your from WoW, and it sounds like u played a Warlock, id definetly give Necro a try if I was you, its the less squishy caster class in the game, good versatility and has damage over time, its not an actually a DoT In this game its more, condition based.
