Also, I was expecting crits that are legit which means that the damage is exclusively caused by you without external influence from buffs or fight mechanics.

Rifle is [The Hunter] the pre-legendary rifle.
Armor is HoTW set without shoulders and head.

Out of all the explorable dungeons that I’ve run there are definitely some that require serious coordination. Some of the bosses do require some degree of coordination but there are events that are frustrating if your group isn’t on vent or mumble. Like the torch event in CoF(exp) or the barrel event in CM(exp). If you don’t get things timed down properly you can get stuck there for hours and hours.

Send this to the top of the forums, that’s insane damage, my power necro “nuke” hits for MAX 6k damage once every 2 weeks haha, usually around 3k-4k damage, and I thought I was doing decent damage.
What armor are you wearing?
I’m wearing the Honor of the Waves chest and pants. I’ve disabled the helm and shoulders.

It would appear that the shot’s damage is being multiplied by some factor for each target it pierces, I can’t imagine that is intended.
Yea, that looks to be the case. I’ve known this to be true for a long time now but I’ve never actually seen a crit as high as 30k+ until when I actually did this. I don’t know I just thought I’d share this and ask around if other people have been getting numbers this high as well.
Sogekii Hei [DiE] [APM] [TNO]
Are you sure it’s not just the log adding the new damage to the old number when it hits another thing? I mean if you shoot through a bunch of the same creature, do you see its health go down more for each one pierced, or does the number just climb for about the same change to the bar?
EDIT: for example the hunters in the 1st pic look to have taken roughly the same damage, assuming they’re the ones you hit.
I don’t think thats the case. The increments on the crit numbers are not consistent to the normal crit damage that I do. I do roughly 15k crits atleast on any mob in the dungeon, if the number was just being added to the previous one then the highest crit wouldv’e been 45k-ish. I see what you’re saying though.

Looks like a combat log bug. Post a screenshot of the 34k crit appearing over the target’s head and I might believe it. For now, it looks like it’s adding the damage numbers together from piercing when putting it in the log. The fact that you have a string of kill shots in the log pretty much confirms it.
Critters don’t count for damage numbers
I did actually see the 30k crit appear over the mob’s head. At first I was skeptical and thought that I might have seen too many digits than there actually was that’s why I checked the combat log to confirm. Sure enough, it was there on the log.
It’s hard to time the screenshots for when the actual numbers appear over the target’s head. It’s not like I was trying to get the highest crit possible while doing this dungeon. I was just playing normally until I saw the 30k crit and I thought I should post it.
I’ll try to get another screenshot for when it actually appears on the targets head. I’ll post it up when I get it. But right now, I don’t see why we can’t trust the combat log.
Also, I only included the critter damage because a million damage to it is hilarious. Overkill much? Although critter damage is easy to reproduce so it’s easy to compare with other people’s single target crits.

The Hunter… Pre-legendary rifle.
Sogekii Hei [DiE] [APM] [TNO]
I finally completed my set today and I tried it out on HoTW(exp). The hardest I hit a lvl 80 dungeon mob was with a 32k Kill Shot without any food buffs or potion buffs. So far I have never seen a single target critical hit higher than this in a level 80 dungeon.
I also tried picking on the critters and I hit one for 1.2Million damage.
Screenshots attached (check the combat log entries).
What is the highest single target crit you’ve done or seen in a level 80 dungeon so far (without the influence of external buffs or fight mechanics)?
(Edit: I did CoE exp mode today and I beat my 32k crit with a 41k crit. Screenshot attached.)

I have recently acquired the pre-legendary rifle [The Hunter]. I was really excited to equip it for the first time as I have seen models of it and it really looks cool in my opinion. But I was somewhat disappointed when I equipped it and it was fastened up my character’s back unnaturally high. It just looked weird and funny to me.

I also have the [Spectral Wave Modulator] rifle which is also a long model rifle. Unlike The Hunter, this rifle is fastened a little bit lower on my back which looks better and more natural. The nozzle tip of the rifle is almost touching the floor which looks cool in my opinion.

Please fix this so that [The Hunter] is fastened to my character’s back at the same height/level/proportion as the [Spectral Wave Modulator].

I know this might not seem important to most people but I do care a lot about how my character looks with his weapons and armor equipped. Seeing how cool my character looks inspires me to play more Guild Wars 2! So please fix this soon Arena Net. I would imagine this is a relatively easy fix.

This happened to me now. Another thread says that if you jump and spam the F (or use) key it’ll eventually work. Just go crazy in front of the door. It worked for me. I tried this and eventually triggered the next events.
Still needs to be fixed though.

Server forums are always good. It would make sense since Anet focuses on building the server community.
Sogekii Hei [DiE] [APM] [TNO]
Great points. I agree with all the suggestions made. I was about to say, we “duel” Skill Point NPC’s all the time, we should be able to “duel” other players. Good stuff, I hope Anet reads and takes implements this.
Sogekii Hei [DiE] [APM] [TNO]
Yes please. This makes sense. We can preview gear before buying them from NPC vendors, we should also be able to do that for the Trading Post. This would save me a lot of time looking for nice armor/weapon skins to wear.
Sogekii Hei [DiE] [APM] [TNO]
I agree that we need more design variations for heavy armor. BUT I don’t agree that the existing skins are ugly. That is just a purely opinion-based statement. Different people like different stuff. They did an awesome job for the people who like those types of armor. But for my case, I am a warrior who specializes in ranged rifle combat, I just want to suggest that they make heavy armor designs that would cater for long-range warriors. I don’t want to be covered in “spiky and bulky iron” all the time (lore-wise I won’t really need them if I stay at a distance), maybe add some variations that might resemble some of the ranger/engineer long-ranged archetype designs. That’s just my preference. I would love it if they added this in the future.
Sogekii Hei [DiE] [APM] [TNO]
Agreed. This makes sense, as a 2h weapon user I don’t know why I didn’t realize this sooner.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Sogekii Hei [DiE] [APM] [TNO]
I definitely agree. We spend a long time customizing the way our characters look in game but when we start the game we don’t even get to see them the way they’re meant to look. I think that the hide helmet/shoulder choice should show for the Character Select screen. Basically just make it so that however our character looks like in-game should be the way they look like for Character Selection. It really pumps me up to play when I see how cool my character looks.
