Well if you don’t like it now, wait till you get to gossamer! At least you can farm jute.
Thanks Ska, if you did 85% then that is all I need to know and I need to try and fill in the gaps with what is missing.
Do you find with cooking, you will need to revisit much lower level zones and re-farm base materials? Or will it keep up with the zones you are in?
I will take a closer look at that but as it sits I have a great surplus of food which only seems to fill my bank/inventory rather than being able to use them as ingredients.
Are there any vendors outside the capitol city karma vendor as well as the cooking vendor that may have materials that I could have missed?
Thanks all!
After leveling both Jewel crafting and Tailoring to 400 nearly exclusively through discovery, I find that this technique does not work with cooking. Currently my cooking is stuck at 80 and I have my entire discovery panel filled with ingredients and most are only 3/4 to be able to discover. What am I missing here or is it simply that leveling via discovery for the majority of the level process not possible and I will simply need to level via crafting instead of discovery? As a result I have been gathering on two different characters for weeks in hopes to fill in the gaps but all that did was give me a surplus of ingredients that still won’t allow me to discover.
I hear that a good majority of the ingredients can be purchased via gold or karma but after buying just about everything I can find, it still does not open discovery.Any help would be appreciated and yes I did look at the leveling guides but they don’t seem to take into account discovery.
Thanks as always!
I would like to know if there will ever be an option for multiple trait builds? I find it frustrating to need to change all my major trait selections every time I want to go into WvWvW because what is needed for PvP is vastly different than I use for PvE. In addition, having a multi-trait build would allow us to switch to support if needed without needing to visit a trainer. An example would be as an elementalist building traits around a water build for support instead of a fire build for dps.
Also why is mists the only place you can have a PvP build? Why can’t I have similar functionality in WvWvW?
Thanks for the feedback all.
Hehe I was bracing myself for the response “fail- you aren’t using all 4 for every single fight?”. To me it is shaping out to be that you need to both spec traits and build your gear properly to get the most out of water. I have never been saved by switching to water since my heals do so little they are hardly noticeable. Plus the fact that using air or water in a fight puts my actual useful attunements on CD, its just not worth it imho.
Been playing a D/D ele since beta which I adore. Currently sitting at 70 and have found little use for using anything but Fire/Earth. Granted I am currently specced as a glass cannon and power/precision.
I try and stay informed as possible in regards to the class I play and since the beginning all I have heard is that good ele’s constantly switch attunements and if you aren’t you are doing it wrong. What I have found is that at least with D/D, all I need is Fire/Earth. In most cases, I can burn most groups of mobs down without ever needing to use anything else but fire. In fights that require more, I switch to earth, burn cooldowns, set down my bleeds then back to fire. As for air, aside from Ride the Lightning for a gap closer, air I only use for travel. Water, I cannot find a compelling reason to use at all since at least in my build the heals do next to nothing, dps is terrible and I get more survivability with Earth. From my experience, using water or air in my rotation just equates to a longer fight. While this mainly applies to PvE, I am curious opinions on both PvE and PvP.
Are there others that feel this same way or am I missing something?
