I completed the Pig Iron Quarry jumping puzzle in Fireheart Rise on Tuesday the 18th, after the patch, presumably in the intended way (climbed on top of the mine, crossed the gap on the hanging platforms, killed the vet, opened the chest and got loot), but the respective achievement was not registered and still shows the puzzle as not completed.
I haven’t had this issue with any other puzzle.
The value of potions is that you can max Artificing without using any (or only a few instead of hundreds) Fine Crafting Materials which are thus saved for leveling up another crafting discipline. This makes Artificer the third FCM-independent (along with Cooking and Jewelry) discipline. The first third of each tier can be covered by refining basic materials, the second part by crafting, e.g., potions of Centaur Slaying, and the third one by potions of Dredge Slaying. All those stages require ingredients that are trivial to acquire.
Any moas, raptors, griffons and drakes may drop eggs. If you want to farm, it is recommended to choose a starter area because mobs are faster to kill in those zones. However, unless you have a specific reason to kill those moas in the first place then the most convenient option is to use the TP.
Jewelry is so easy to level up that it feels almost broken at the moment. For the first part (25 level range), refine ingots and make hooks, bands and settings. For the second part, craft filigrees and discover filigreed gem of each type. Craft a second filigreed gem as well, to get 2 of each type. For the third part, combine the filigreed gems with hooks, bands and settings to make masterwork rings and earrings. Tier done, repeat with the next one. My jeweler leveled from 0 to 375 in one sitting, and the only thing that prevented maxing the discipline was that the character was fresh out of the tutorial and didn’t have any karma to buy a level 375 rare recipe.
I agree that butter drop rate should be decreased, it’s way too plentiful compared to everything else right now and eating into the availability of other, more crucial materials. Or then it should be restricted to lower tier containers – getting butter in the Cursed Shore certainly makes the place live up to its name! On the other hand, egg drop rate could be increased slightly because eggs are pretty much the only reason to kill those annoying moas, raptors and griffons.
