Dervishesque elementalist specialisation.
Considering that revenant seems to be 60-70%dervish and 30-40 ritualist I highly doubt it. Plus dervish used armor in between medium and heavy
Probably spear will be released on mainland, and I don’t think it’s revenant considering the guy holding it, in the image, was human and not Rytlock
The expansion is coming out in a month?

Considering the beta’s of earlier GW products, I don’t imagine it will be a long period of time, usually really fast, the only beta tests from anet that took time was the first games of the franchise. Prophecies and GW2. It’s obvious why those would take longer.
A lot of people are assuming it’ll only be one map, and one class + the masteries / new weapons. That’s all they have announced. The video showed some cool stuff too, guilds in the jungle, cool!
The only expansion released by Anet is EotN, which was huge, and might as well have been standalone. Going from that, I’d dare say we can make some assumptions, plausible with a 50% chance of implementation. Essentially guesswork from deduction.
Races affected by the dragon, all of them. Considering this is the first expansion coming out from Anet after 2 and half years, I would not be surprised if there was also 1-2 new races. bold guesss, I know x’D However it would be a waste, lest they release a standalone/expansion for next year too. An opportunity that should not go missed, and I couldn’t imagine that it would.
The maguuma jungle is huge. They could easily increase the map beyond the original boundaries(again) to show us the maguuma. I suspect the map increase will be substantial. and if they go with only one map it’ll be a huge map. It wouldn’t surprise me if the map increase will be 50-70% of the existing map, I know that might be crazy, but thinking of their last expansion, it’s not.
I’m not interested, but legendary armor will most likely get its reveal too among the new legendary weapons.
Features in the trade-post or via story. A possibility of profession change might very well be on its way, via the expansion or before it. With the new class. However counterargument is that buying the new expansion will give you new slots. Well we’ll see.
I see all these great threads about ideas of changes to current skills, or new skills/class ideas. But I think we need to keep focus on the fact that we have barely gotten any, and those two heal skills barely count. For that sole reason, I think this thread should stay alive a bit more, to keep the awareness there
Loved the ending, looking forward to rytlock transforming into a boss or something #thatconceptartmightjustbeviableasrytlocknow
evil / good?
Will mother tree kill all the world’s leaders in part 2?
Will, at the end of living story season 2, all the ghosts in Ascalon disappear(permachange)?!
Belindas sword, we all want it, it will be available, people who complain it can’t be wielded by thieves, why would a nodachi ever be one handed, hell even a katana is two handed, only in gw was it wielded with one hand, because there weren’t any greatswords-
Will LSS2 open up to a new continent? #secretexpansionpackrelease!??!?!
Why not make Black lion claim ticket a buy, for let’s say 100gems for one, it takes impossibly many chests sometimes to get just one weapon. And other times you get really lucky. My point being, there is the possible loss of revenue.
However, there is also a chance that people who are scared away of buying the chests, cause of the low rate for getting a ticket or a scrap, might want to buy it if the ticket is readily available in the Gem Store.
Considering Anet has talked openly about the adding of new skills, and weapon additions for classes, for a long time, I’d say it is fair to assume we’ll see them.
Is there a slight possibility that Anet is making a proper expansion, and plans to include these in it? yes, did Daniel Dociu mention in a random interview, before release, that they were already making the art for Cantha? yes,
Is the Vanilla skills/builds, highly catered to some rather than others, of course, anybody who has played GW, will agree that you had some builds that pretty much no one could run properly. Which means that some people will find vanilla builds easier than others, which is another reason for bringing out some new skills, or at least bring in some more viable elite skills
Anyhow, the lack of skill variety is definitely a reason that makes people leave GW2 for periods of time
Albeit LSS2 hasn’t ended yet, and this might still be applied. I am thoroughly surprised about the lack of skill additions/ class’s having weapon use restrictions removed.
After two years of GW there was pretty much two new expansions with 4new classes, and a multitude of skills, not to mention the maps.
Am I the only one who thinks it is about time to add some more skill variety, whether that be utility of weapon skills.
Replayability; after lvl 80 you lose a lot of the incentive to do anything other than dungeons, or bosses, which is too bad.
A solution could be, for example, if the events could interact on a full-scale-map-event-interation. Imagine if some medic in the shiverpeaks is taken hostage, and that affected his trade to kryta, or the desolation, or anywhere, and that made the villagers in another map sick, or die, resulting in more events. Or some farm, at some random map location, is affected stopping the trade of meat or milk, small scale examples, that could easily become big scale examples spanning from various maps.
Could be super cool, especially if the consequences were really cruel. Obviously you want new players to have a nice experience playing, but still. I want to do events, and feel like I mattered in that event, that it made a difference that I was there, and that it wasn’t just a zerg, cause the monsters don’t drop any fun skins, so the incentive to do events after 80 is difficult.
Another solution, make living story replayable, personally I’ve been crazy busy with a lot of cool stuff that has been going on in my life recently, and whenever I do have time to play, the living story is at its end, or I barely have time to do any of it. Put it in cashshop if that’s it, but one of the great things of gw was that you could replay the missions, you could experience the story of the fall and rising and fall of shiro, like reading your favourite book again.
awesome pal, thanks
I’m playing at Gandarra server, and since returning to the game, I wanted myself a set of CM armor, and went to CM dungeon. Now two weeks later, I’ve yet to find a PUG group for explorable, and only once did I encounter a story group.
I’ve guested at various servers to see if I’d get lucky there, to no avail. IS there any European server where there is a lot of CM dungeon activity ?
Wearing heavy armor is fine and all, and that you can’t go out into battle in your town clothes(lest you’re an engineer, but that is medium armor) I get.
Even if entirely cosmetic, it would be nice if there there was a an “outerwear” option, like a simple robe with a hoodie, a robe, a cape, to be worn on top of your armor. In fantasy novels, westerns, sci fi, when travelling our heroes often find themselves wearing some sort of robe/cape. Hell, Clint Eastwood wears that bad*ss cape over one shoulder in a Fistful of Dollars. Jedis’ got their robes. And you don’t have to look far to find more examples.
It could be entirely novelty, or stats could be added. I realize that there is workings on cape for guilds, with clipping issues. I still think that it could be an idea to look into.
