If its defended by equal numbers then yes, 5-10 people may have trouble capping a keep. Thats not a nighttime issue. Daytime, its would be the exact same thing…. well, except more dangerous since its a higher chance even more defenders will come.

You’re perfectly right, of course it’s also a daytime problem :-) I just wanted to mention my personal experience before people claim that I have no idea what I’m talking about as it happened in other topics.
I guess smallscale/ roaming in general will be more difficult, alo due to the higher population of PvE creatures (fire eles and stuff like that) etc. But I’ll guess we’re about to find out. Maybe it’s not as bad as it sounds afterall.

But yes, I also love the buff where gates can only get siege damage. Lost too many keeps because zergs PvDed gates after they rand out of supplies.

Nighttime doesn’t mean that there aren’t any players defending, especially when you’re up against other servers that do have a strong night crew. However if you aren’t able to take out siege with casters and don’t have extra supply for acs/ballistas then yes, that’s a problem. I smell people from k-train server with the “what’s an extra 30 supply” and “build an omega and capture everything”-attitude.

Why did I bother with such a small crew? Because I cared about my server and it was fun to outsmart the blobs.

Considering all the changes coming with HoT I’m kind of glad I stopped commanding nightshifts a while ago. With our tiny nightcrew consisting often of only 5-10 people we sometimes had trouble to even build 2 superior rams. No kittening way we could have build acs and ballistas to deal with canons or mortars all the time.

Ranger Trapper - Point Control

I started playing trapper ranger a couple of weeks ago. I also use 3 traps but axe+torch and shortbow to deal with the ranged. You would be surprised how many people just keep running towards a trapper even if they already died 3 times. Pew pew rangers can be a little tricky but if you manage to get near them by dodging their longbow 2 they are as good as dead. All you need is good movement. But yes, changing 1 trap for signet of stone might be a good idea if you have trouble with ranged, however I wouldn’t wanna go with only 1 trap because then it’s not really a trapper anymore

I have one little questions. What will happen if we will get a major bug during the reset like last time where everbody was friendly?
Will be there somebody who would fix the bug or will we have a whole weekend where nobody could play WvW?

That’s indeed a very important question. Has it already been answered?

What is a normal "top stats" : game ratio?

It highly depends on the builds and professions you’re playing. If you play a condi build you’ll often get “Top player condition damage dealt”, if you play a guard you’ll often get “Top player boons applied to allies” or “healing applied to allies” (or whatever it’s called). So far I’ve only played 268 games and got 569 top stats.

It’s a good change if it wasn’t bugged. This is why we get very little changes to this game mode. Some people don’t like any sort of change and seems every time we get a change it comes with bugs.

I’m not against every sort of change, just against unnecessary major ones that force people to overthink stuff that they have been used to for a very long time.
And I do think before causing more trouble by introducing f2p they could have at least fixed some of the old WvW-bugs that have been known for months.

Meh… hate that change. Always was so easy to just drop a blueprint on the commander’s feet if he quickly needed a treb/ballista/ac for example but couldn’t really explain where to place it… Having to send it per mail slows the whole process down and WvW is a lot about speed.
And I really don’t like that we have to get used to changes because of f2p-people (beta probably isn’t that much of an issue with the release so soon). Shouldn’t be that way.
