I completed Mad King Says event in Lion’s Arch and even got the key and opened the chest, but did not receive the achievement A Royal Tradition.
I agree. Troll NPCs standing there, not even doing anything…
Give them something else to do. They are obviously bored. Hehe.
Change them to beggars. When you F them you lose 1 Silver to them.
I done all hero challenges already (100% map completion), am at Lvl 80 with maxed out every trait and specialization, and I have 200 hero points with nothing to do.
You are missing 13 hero points. Have you explored WvW yet?

Oh yeah. “All hero challenges in the PVE world” then :P
Ascended gear is very very expensive to craft . In my opinion it isn’t worth crafting until you’re absolutely sure you’re going to be using it on a certain character and not getting bored of him after a few weeks.
Ascended gear is only slightly better than exotic gear which you can buy on the trading post for a few gold each piece. As for what gear to wear I think the most popular set for thieves is berserker (power, precision, ferocity) but don’t quote me on that.
Anyway here’s some information on ascended if you’re interested

Ah thanks a lot
I only play one character anyways, as I like to concentrate all my efforts to it, so Ascended is fine no matter how hard it is to craft.
I’ve gotten 3 Scraps and 1 whole ticket from probably less than 10 chests.

Hi, I’m wondering which gears (for PVE) are the ones I should be aiming for (as a Thief). I heard that crafted Ascended gears are the best, but where do I buy them, and which? Thanks.
They can’t do that. NCSoft is known for selling gold in their own game (look at Aion and the number of gold sellers).
Just something that is bothering me. It would be much easier if everyone who is eligible for a refund be entitled to a discount than processing a refund (plus less taxes too for ArenaNet too).
At the southeast corner of Dredgehaunt Cliffs:
When stepping into Black Earth Coalmine, it says “Dociu Excavation discovered”, and when stepping into Dociu Excavation, it says “Black Earth Coalmine discovered” instead.

http://i.imgur.com/Txe5iTV.jpg <- Example of such a function in Aion
Sometimes I want to listen to my own music, and I have to drag the Music Volume all the way to the left to mute it. Then when I want the game BGM again, I have to drag back the bar to the exact place where it was.
It’s a bit troublesome and therefore I wish Guild Wars 2 has this function similar to one in Aion, where you can just simply Tick the box and it mutes the Music Volume, and just click it once more to untick it.
Thanks a lot
Will do that
I know that I can get crafting materials by salvaging equipments and some white items, but I’m not sure if I should be doing that, since I can make some money by selling the equipments directly to Trading Post. Is there a “guideline” on what to salvage and what to sell? Thanks.
(I’m currently at Lvl 30)
Ah thanks a lot
I’ll settle on Trilogy + EotN then. Don’t think I’ll need convenience items, since I like to play games the way they were designed originally. Plus Trilogy says it gives a free M.O.X. golem which GOTY doesn’t say anything about.
Hi, after playing GW2, I’m interested in purchasing GW1 (on Steam). But I’m kinda confused with all the different versions. I’m looking to get every content GW1 has to offer.
Guild Wars Trilogy says it contains “Guild Wars, Factions™, and Nightfall™”, but then there is also Guild Wars Game of the Year Edition (what’s the difference between Guild Wars and GOTY edition?). Then there is also Eye of the North which isn’t included in Guild Wars Trilogy.
Me too. I relogged and it doesn’t help. I’m hearing random npcs talking even though I’m not even near a single npc.
I really like the exploring part of the game, and pure PvE portion of the game. I like doing quests in peace without worrying all the time about getting ganked by griefers. Many MMOs I played just simply dump open world PvP into the game just to please PvPers, but all they please are griefers and jerks (looking at you Aion).
And no grinding aspect. I used to play MapleStory. The first half of the levels can be completed by pure questing. But then they run out of quest and you’re forced to kill the same monsters in the same map all day until you reach max level.
Also, no monthly fee. I don’t want to feel forced to play the game as much as I can to get the most out of my subscription money worth. I take a break and come back as I please.
I also like the fact that you don’t need to spend real money to purchase cash shop items. I don’t like spending my real life money into cash shops if possible, since it makes the game P2W and I don’t feel like I earned those stuffs, since I just magically obtain them from nothing I did in the game.
Luckily I only paid $5 more for the deluxe edition (from the 75% off sale recently). The only permanent stuffs are the wolves (which I didn’t even use at all since I already saved up points to buy a better ulti at Lvl 31), and the Rytlock pet. Well, at least I get a permanent collectible not obtainable elsewhere.
And the Chalice of Glory, well, I don’t even PvP. I only PvE.
Hearts were the worst part about map completion when I did it. In order to break away from the “quest” mindset most MMOs have, Anet inevitably created another version of the same repetitive model. xD
Actually, a normal quests system would have been a much better system. It opens up so much room for creativity and interesting stuffs. With the hearts system you can’t have chain side quests, which was what I really liked in Aion, where there were many really interesting side stories.
And heart quests are almost all about killing mobs and pressing a button on objects.
They need to have a highlighted area over the map showing which area counts for the quest. Sometimes I don’t even know which area counts and have to walk around the entire place to find out.
Also, some places have poor area allocation, like the heart quest near Fort Salma. They said “kill Centaurs”, yeh sounds easy, except there wasnt a single centaur nearby. Then I finally found some but they’re out of the quest range, and I had to aggro them into the area to get it counted.
