What does “TA up + fw” mean?
Wanted to know what are the fast and easiest dungeon paths for gold?
I hear that AC is fast and easy, what else would you recommend?
It is because people don’t know how to use it imo. Ain’t saying that it is the best option,
but it can be played if used correctly as you can clearly see in Wolfineer’s video which I posted.

An interesting option, but the entire point of this build is to have the FT for the extra Might. If I change it to BK the might stacking becomes useless and I have to convert alchemy to explosives. Tho, it also opens me the window of using mines and grenades.
(Perhaps something similar to s/d mines setup which you mentioned in a post “Most stupidly overpowered build for engi’s?”).
How would you change that build?

I agree with you about the elixirs, I switched to elixirs R,B and H.
Regarding everything else,
you simple can’t have everything. You cant have a high amount of power while maintaining high amount of vitality and toughness, you need to compromise.
I made it in a way which lowered my power while still maintaining a high amount of critical chance (57%), critical damage (88%) and I still get to have a pretty high amount of vitality and toughness.
For the sake of argument lets say that I use traits to increase my power(I am already stacking maximum from equipment). and I will not be able to produce as much stacks of might (boon) as I am able right now, not to mention that they will not last as long as they do with the current build. Which means I will be giving up a huge amount of power. Keep in mind while I stack 6 points of traits in alchemy I can reach 25 stacks of might(boon) which increases my power for up to 3200! Not only that, it takes vulnerability out of the equation because the damage that I inflict due the might stack(boon) is substantially higher then if the target had 25 stacks of vulnerability.

So i was trying to balance My overall stats because the current meta build (6/6/0/0/2) isn’t really working for me.
I find it superior in PVE but imo it doesn’t really work in dungeons and WvW Due to low survivability.
I came up with a solution which i think is nice, ( I didn’t play for 2-3 months ) it focuses primarily on rifle and Might stacks and keeps me alive due high amount of vitality and toughness. This build is very similar to Wolfineer build on Youtube with few modifications of my own.

hgh i think is over rated for celestial, but the best bit of advice i can give you is to look around and find your playstyle. Not the meta

the problem with berserker gear is that it makes me 2 squishy. One mistake and I am dead.
I am not new Engis, I do have maxed berserker gear and I maxed my damage output( 30\30\0\0\10 Grenadier build ). But still, what is the point in all this if i have to spend more time trying not to die then actually do damage…
I am thinking that perhaps with the celestial gear, I can balance my HP (currently have something like 15k ) and armor while transferring some of my damage to condition damage.
PVE and WVW i guess..
Is there a point to Gear my Engi with an Wupwup gear + all the other “all stats Gear”? incl Superior Rune of Divinity?
As i see it, i will get healing, armor, hp, of course i will lose some damage from reducing power but it will be converted to condition damage.
what do you guys think?
just retested it…. you are right. it seems that i didn’t get my HP below 3400. it was either one-hit or half HP( hit 8500). at any rate they should fix it so it would activate when u reach 25% and not 20%.

so yesterday i was experimenting with Self-Regulating Defenses for the first time, I’ve decided to try it in arah. After some time i noticed that it doesn’t kick in when my HP reaches 25%.
i searched the “Engineer Bugs Compilation” topic and i found that Should kick in when u reach 20% and not 25% as the description says. But for me it just did work at all. Wasn’t sure in the beginning but when we reached lupi i saw clearly that it just doesn’t work at all.
did anyone else had problems with it?

since the nerf i don’t think that we can give up dmg for anything, but hey what do i know try testing it… nothing like a live field experiment
well, the advantage of using elixir is having a 100% con removal, while the sigil only gives you 60% at best, feels kinda risky to me.
Necro being the second worse? Where did you get that?
I used to think that, until I started playing spvp and learned from great necromancer videos. Even if they have a simple mecanism (DS), necromancer are really hard to play and to be efficient. You have a lot of positionning, DS dancing, and kitting.
But once you learn it good, they are the king of Ranged AoE damage/Condition. Epidemic is just crazy. I wish I had it on my engineer.
But serousily, most Top tPvP team have a necromancer in their team. Don’t underestimated necromancer. They have a lot of bug yeah, but they still do very well!
Engineer isn’t the best class for PvE, but you can still dish a good amount of damage. Since you are using grenade, you can stack a lot of vulnerability on ennemies for your team. Kit refinement with the 100 nade combat do a really good burst of around 10k-14k damage.
Don’t just spawm #1 grenade, use every one of them, especially #2 that does much direct damage and add a Bleed or fire don’t remember. Then switch to rifle and continu your damager with blunderbuss and jump shot.
But that is the thing!! i don’t just sit there and spam the #1 grenade i use all of them its just that the dmg output is not the same anymore!. My rifle is capable of doing more dmg than the #1 nade. However I totally agree with you regarding the vulnerability stacking, it is awesome and really is contributing(same goes for all the other conditions that i apply).
I am not sure where to take it now… used to wear full berserker, with ogre rune.
for traits i had 30/30/0/10/0.. i am considering now switching to rampage gear(inc jewls) and change the traits to 30/20/0/20/0…
was thinking to swich back to power pre con
since anet with their infinite wisdom decided to nerf the hell out of our grenades i am not sure what i should be doing anymore.
i like doing dmg, but engis just doesnt seem to excel at that anymore. and i am getting sick on being one-hit by lupi for no good reason.
should i just swich to a new char until something gets buffed up?
