Well to me horizontal progression mean player skill progression over character power level progression . So as an example most FPS use horizontal progression: it’s not about getting a bigger gun but about learning how to use the gun you have.
That kind of progression require 3 things:
-a high (player) skill cap : On skills and build level GW2 is actually quite good. But there are problems with the trait system (that has been changed from a personalisation system to a specialisation system in early stages of the game), combo (such potential for “end game” progression in this system finally limited to a fire+blast mechanic…What a waste…) and of course balance (no balance at all for the combo, class and skills totally broken…)
-a challenge hard enough to encourage player progression: I’m totally for a story doable by anybody…But there must also be challenging contents that require you to use the high skill cap…There is none. Explorable dungeons (initially presented as “elite zones”) are even easier than there story path, fractals are just grind for AR and, here again balance is a problem (since you have skills and build that totally breaks challenge…“need more hundred blade for this event”). I would also add on the challenging thing that devs are obviously afraid about OS (a karka rolled on you…you are dead…that’s all…but not in anetland), afraid about dangerous foes and gives us health bags instead of medium health, high damage bosses…Oh and bosses also lack mechanics…
-rewards for effort : in horizontal progression games you are rewarded when you play better. Those reward are usually skins, titles, ranks,… In Gw2 you are not rewarded for anything else then grinding. There is no challenging(I mean player challenge…not grind X things ones) achievement rewarding the player (except maybe for liandry but that challenge was more a “avoid the bug” challenge then a proper fight…). Dungeons (even if they were challenging) rewards are totally broken.
Initial system : a weapon for finishing a story path, an armor piece for finishing an explorable (suposed hard) path.
Actual system : grind your tokens in explorable mode! As for story mode you only get a gold headpiece..;What a joke when you know that some story paths are actually more challenging then the explorable ones…
And that’s all they needed to make a great horizontal progression game…But instead of that we’ve got more stats, more grind your AR, more grind your “living” story (a story should be enjoyed, not farmed…), more kill X rats achievement, more guides on how to do things (seriously they give solutions even before releasing the content), …
Hoping you now better understand what people mean by horizontal progression…

Signet of Air makes an excellent stun breaker.
Especially knowing it already breaks stun if used without target (due to a bug). However I have to disagree on GoEP. The strength of that skill is the you can basically turn your lava font into a frozen ground or a tons of other things… If the effect was to be attunement dependent it would be far less powerfull (adding more frozen or cripple effect on a set that already apply them is redundant and not as effective). Also the choice between controlling what you apply and when you use the spell raise its skill cap…something always welcome when you look at the actual meta…
2. No one will use GoEP or cleansing fire.
I use GoEP and will for sure continue to use it…
3. No one will use focus still.
Well I mainly play staff but when I switch to scepter I now prefer focus to dagger and it’s more likely the patch will make me like it even more…
For the rest I’m not sure…but the new scepter air spike might not be that game breaking…Anyway that something we’ll have to keep an eye on…
However, you need to consider that GoEP was originally an ‘offensive’ skill. The whole point of this particular skill was to pop it just before entering combat.
That’s what I thought before actually playing it… Of course you can pop it before entering combat to boost your attacks but the skill only take all its dimension when you pop it during combat because then you can adapt it to the situation… Now I really pop it only when I need it…It serves me as condition removal, snare, damage mitigation and, of course damage boost… If you add a breakstun effect you obtain one of the best toolbox skill of the game…
No? The last thing I want to do with a mesmer or thief is port into them.
Because obviously there are only 3 professions in GW2 : thief, mesmer and elementalist…
And if I agree they are not the main professions I use flash to, flashing to them can still prove useful in some situation… To interrupt a stomp with gust for example you better be in contact with your target (and I’d had that ease the rezing after the interrupt…)…
Now I agree damages have never been something very important with that skill…But if you really only use it to go away from your target you are wasting it…
Whoever thought about making GoEP a stunbreaker is seriously trolling. Using GoEP earlier in a fight to provide an offensive buff before engaging and on the other hand trying to save the skill for it’s stun break while being harassed in battle is like.. I have no words for it.. sorry..
That’s called strategic choice and versatility…You guys don’t understand about sacrificing one effect for the other? That’s all it’s about…You’ll never be able to get 100% of that skill but you’ll always be able to get something from it… It’s not a 0/1 skill but a 0.5/0.5 one… That’s all…
Also that skill is already quite good when you’re used to it and will just be perfect in a glyph oriented build…
Maybe they forgot Arcane Shield exists or something – also the Earth Shield thingy which I thought was just urban legend. I mean won’t these make more sense as stunbreakers and can possibly finally be of use when they become stunbreakers? Shield? SHIELD??? Defensive utility skills? Defense?? Anyone??? I’m crying right now. T___T
If I personally consider arcane skills don’t need break stun effects you got the point with the earth shield….the big thing missing in this patch (if the leaked note are real…) are the conjurations…
Oh, great, you get 500-600 more damage from Lightning Flash, so USEFUL. Especially to anything that isn’t DD and uses it to port away from people not TO them.
So you never port to enemy while using scepter or staff? Well you should try….
They let you the choice…it’s not for you to only use one option depending on your set…
Do not make confusion between being a stunbreaker and being usable while stunned…the note says lightning flash won’t be a stun breaker anymore…Not that it won’t be usable while stunned. So we can reasonably think it will still be usable while stunned (like arcane skills for example) and if it’s the the case the time you’ll buy with the TP will let you get back on your feet… So it might still be effective…

80-90% in stealth was only supportable by perma-stealth thieves who c&d just as they get out of stealth. Annoying for sure. For most thieves it’s probably more like 40-50%.
I know that…and I know it was the perma stealth that was a problem. That’s why my solution tried to keep the stealth in reasonable values (where I saw a lot of proposition to completely destroy the mechanic). But no one even tried to think about it. And now all will pay…One abuse with a mechanic will result in it being nerfed and the game will suffer it…
I actually don’t know what this is going to do to the meta.
Well thieves will probably rely more on evade or buy the other trap to make sure their target can’t use the anti-stealth trap (the trap cost 10 if you steal five the enemy can’t use it anymore…).
To be fair. No one came here with any balanced or reasonable suggestions either. There’s just been a kittenload of QQing all over the place.
Well I proposed to make revealed duration proportional to the time spent in stealth (to stop the perma stealth without affecting the dynamic use of the mechanic). The numbers I thought about at the time would have allowed thieves to 50% time stealthed (66 if traited) and allowed those numbers to change if needed while keeping the balance between short stealth period and long one. But now obviously 66% was not enough for the QQers and was too much for the thieves (why would they sacrifice their 80-90% time stealthed? For balance? No way…). So off course no one paid attention and there were only few other propositions (I saw none from the thieves…if they obviously know what they need they only fought for what they wanted…which was not acceptable…).
But here we are and you lost your precious 80-90% (and depending on situation you are not even sure to get the 50%) and even worse you lost the ability to choose when to use this stealthed time… So I hope next time you’ll remember how anet fixes balance problems when they are not given a good idea by the community…Their method is called “Isaiah’s Balance” and you prefer to avoid it at any cost…
(edited by silvos.3092)
Obviously not balanced…But in other hands the stealth discussion has been going for months now. And while it was obvious stealth was not balanced thieves tried to deny it to keep their advantage instead of discussing about reasonable (and balanced) solutions. And here is the result… You didn’t want balance, you don’t have balance(huge nerf instead)… Next time you should try helping to find appropriate solutions more than protecting your interests…
In the end, we can conclude: Deso please stay fighting till Piken makes it.
.
An EU, a German and a French server in T1 avoid any such possibility and represents the EU-ladder much better
That would be better indeed…And for deso too…They lost a lot of their strengh and I’m afraid they’ll get eaten inT2 if no one protect them a minimum(hopefully and ironically WL will fullfill that role). Would be better to leave them in peace while they rebuild…After all, the last server I saw dropping to T2 in a similar situation is now in T8…and we obviously don’t want another server to “die”…
(edited by silvos.3092)
Totally agree. Exaggeration was always best way to underline a point.
[…]
So I have no clue what you are on about.
Agree but obviously I failed on this one… My point (since the very beginning of this thread) was to explain that while their won’t be any alliance between VS and JS there is a non negligible chance for ER to get some sort of double focus… After all VS now count a lot of people from the old AS (and others like me who miss AS) that will focus ER to “avenge” (Personally I’d prefer the term of “smite” since I consider it a direct consequence of what happened and, as i said have no hate to ER but I know some have) and people from JS will certainly want revenge too. So in that situation a double focus might occur…But they can only blame themselves for theses reactions.
And I also had to heart to tell them that I won’t kick them as hard as possible because they are german(and JS is french) but because they disappointed me… That might not mean anything for you but for me it does… When I ear “we’ll kick VS because we don’t like blobs” I can understand(as long as it stay clean). But when I ear “we’ll kick VS because we don’t like jobless french” I can’t. So the reason is important for me…It keeps the conflict server based (ok that’s fine as long as it doesn’t becomes too violent) and not nation based.
And that’s even more important to say when you want to sanction a nationality based focus (ok…what I estimate to be an nationality based focus…so we close that discussion too). If they believe I kick them for nationality reasons they obviously can’t understand that I don’t like when nations interfere in WvW…
Back then Viz wasn’t interested in fairplay or equal level fights, so I don’t think that idea is way off. Only recently you cared when there was noone to play against anymore.
I have to agree that some people of VS (and other servers) only care about fair play and competition when it arrange them. But not everybody is like that and more important those people don’t justify to have similar behaviours… The fight for a clean and fair competition (at every level) is constant…
And since I know you’ll tell me I just say that because I’m from VS and we are dominating(globaly since few months) I’ll send you at https://forum-fr.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/La-capture-de-nuit-et-VOUS in advance so we can spare some time… The post are from seven months ago(yeah…I’m interested in fairplay since a short time I know…) and are about night capping…Yes my server was winning mostly due to nightcapping and I was against it… And you know why? Because I’m a stupid PU who only cares about having good match up and not about the ladder…
(edited by silvos.3092)
I did not wanted to start with it as it is 1/2 year ago and the alliance did lasted only for one week
, but ask your mates what was in week 42
No need…I know about this one and trust me I was not happy at all with certain things I saw at the time…
sigh We never had an alliance. Believe it or not. (Feel free to copy and paste these sentences if Jade makes it to T1 because you’ll need them a lot then.^^)
Trust me mate if one day I am to learn any single guild of VS make alliance on nationality basis or if I’m to see similar screen I’d be on your side…And by the way I’m not trying to poison the atmosphere in any way I’m just expressing on what I see and what are my expectations. And what I see is a WvW far from what I expect both in terms of strategy and behaviours(and that’s general…don’t think I believe VS to be all white…).
I guess the stomping you got from SFR and BT was uninteresting for you, because your coverage to win-strategy was countered and you lost. Losing is always uninteresting for you it seems, but don’t feel bad, it’s the same for all your fellow random PUs.
You forget all the matchup VS won during these past 4 month. So maybe there is something more than victory or defeat involved in “what makes an interesting matchup”. As for the troll about PUs…What to answer to a comment that blinded?
Besides that, Viz had great influence on the downfall of AS, you absorbed their guilds, the bandwagoners joined you. You destroyed AS.
Partly true since the precedent matchup against us began to disgust them… And don’t think I don’t regret it too… But obviously we didn’t ask them to join…they did it because they thought it was their best option after AS fall. And at least we didn’t focused them too much when they’re in a weak position.
so what is our “level” you are talking about?^^
The one you had or the one you showed last time?
If it’s the first I talk about the elona that resisted us in fights, not leaving us one inch of ground without a hard fight and not giving up even though outnumbered. The elona breaking through our doors after killing one entire zerg of our people. The elona with a certain sense of honour and skilled players at all level (from commanders to “simple” fighter).
If it’s the second I talk about the elona I saw last time with unskilled players in de-organised zergs with poor strategic choices we rolled on without even noticing and so providing no fun at all…The elona desperately trying to stop us with a mass of siege weapons (from what I heard it didn’t change though the up of AC might play in your favour this time) and ceasing to fight after few defeats only…
For me it was just black and white. And if I have a deep respect for the first I consider the second has no place in high tier WvW… I’m just waiting for an interesting matchup (the last I can remember was 4 months ago). If you can give me one I’ll be very happy…But the elona I saw last time was not worth the fight(exept for the loot but I don’t go in WvW to farm…)
i wanna see you telling that to all the kodashies out there hue
Sfr made similar answers when talking about deso helping them… But we all saw how the score evolved and the screens of your people defending/attacking objectives hand in hand…
Anyway as it was repeated there won’t be any alliance between VS and JS. That’s for sure. So if you really are what you pretend to be you have nothing to fear…And I’ll be happy to fight the elona of old. But if you show the same level as last time then I’ll please to kick this “elona” back into T2. In both cases the question will be solved on the battlefield…
@silvos: why such hard words for Elona? i do not understand. They destroyed what? and they never wanted to block ladder
Well I explained it… as for what they destroyed well just look at what AS is and compare to what it was. Now I know they had internal tensions but the double focus elona made with Kodash was a condemnation to death in that situation. And I don’t care they wanted to block the ladder or not…They blocked it because of double focus. And if I have nothing against double focus when it’s about points (after all it’s just good business) that makes me crazy when nationality comes in as it was obviously the case. Just that is enough for me to fight them…
Add to that they were originally one of the server I respected the most (not a lot of cheaters compared to others, kept fighting no matter what and had a good level during fight) before our last fight(still not a lot of cheaters but a disgusting level in term of gameplay and will of fight) and you make me want to tear them to pieces.
No hatred involved but a total rage when I think at what they were and what they became…And I will make all I can to wake them up about that situation…So’ll have to strike very hard because obviously they are very very deeply sleeping…
On Millenium it looks already like Piken replaces SFR in T2 next friday. We don’t want to be double teamed by two french servers.
You should have thought about it before double teaming against AS and JS…Now obviously it’s not in VS habits to ally with anyone but without speaking of it or speaking for the others I can tell you I will focus on you if I can. You participated in the destruction of one of the few valuable servers, blocked the ladder for a long time and offered a pitiful performance last time we met you(while you were valuable opponent before). Now it’s time for elona to assume for its mistakes…
All I have to say…we’ll meet at the battlefield…
You can own thieves on most classes… it’s just a learn to play issue. Avoid/mitigate their burst, cc them, smash them, and you’ll be fine. It’s the same reason why you don’t see thieves in higher skilled tPvP gameplay, but all the time in hotjoin.
No it’s not. Sure you can own most noob thieves if you know your class but at equivalent skill level thieves are at advantage and by far… As for tpvp the goal is to controls points and you can’t do it while stealthed so thieves (at least shealth oriented ones) are obviously at disadvantage in that kinds of fights…
Also I’d like to point the fact that the actual balance disadvantages a skilled use of the thief.
If you use(or at least try to use) your stealth to confuse the enemy in a dynamic way with little sequences of 1-2 sec of stealth you’ll get 3 sec of revealed between each sequences stopping you from restealthing and you spend less than 50% of your time under stealth.
But on the other side if you use stealth for very long duration (let’s just say 10 sec for example…) with burst during the revealed and then restealth for another long duration (the way mosts thieves use it actualy) you still only get 3 sec of revealed and so you spend around 75% of your time under stealth. And of course since the revealed debuff duration is constant the longer you stay in stealth the less that debuff affects you…
Now obviously there is a problem. Why would the dynamic “skilled” use of a class be disadvantaged to the “unskilled” one? Why in a game that wants to be dynamic would you push players in that kind “static” gameplay?
So now let’s say we want to balance this situation. What can we do? Up the revealed duration? No it would disadvantage the low duration use and push people into long duration uses even more. Lower it? No it would make long uses even more affective while not pushing into the short stealth use. That to say you can put whatever duration you want on revealed stealth will never be balanced as long as that duration is constant. So we need a variable duration. What stealth needs is just a proportion between the time you spend in stealth and the duration of the revealed debuff. It’s that simple…and trust me the day Anet balance team will figure it out we’ll get to balance for stealth in no time…Now we just need to pray for they figure it out…
Pretty sure they’ll burn it and use its horn to kill each other…
(sad face)
Nice try anyway^^
Only reason vizunah doesn’t collapse is Troma. We all know that. Without him, most of the vizunians wouldn’t even play anymore.
. . .
So wrong… So you’ve learned nothing yet? Vizunah isn’t built on Troma. Vizunah is built on the good will of every member of it’s server. It’s a community wanting to play WvW. If Troma is obviously (and by far) the best commender I ever had the chance to fight with and a great leader he is only the catalyst of the community’s interest in WvW (and I should say in the game). If he were to leave the server wouldn’t stop fighting (though it would probably take time before we see another commender like him but as long as it stay united a server doesn’t need a clear leader). That’s why you can’t win in the actual situation.
We play for fun and challenge when you play to be first. We want to build where you want to destroy. We are federated by our love for the game when you are federated by your hatred and rage against us. We try to play together and to involve PU in the match and the strategy when you only want to kick them and have a so called “elitist” approach of the competition.
And Troma or not as long as it will stay like that you won’t have any chance of victory against VS. Because whatever force you will use to push us down the ladder will only be built on rage and will fade with time where our will to fight will stay. And wherever you’ll send VS it’ll come back the second you release pressure just like a buoy. Troma only gave the impulsion to send things the right way and a name to that will of fight (What he calls Vizunah spirit). But if you want to really have a chance to beat us you’ll have to play the game… So knowing how your people act on these forums we still have plenty of time before VS fall… And unfortunately it also looks like we have plenty of time before we can have an interesting and constructive fight…

Ok thanks…Point one and two should be fine (friendlist since the open beta
) and for point three we shall leave a little prayer to the almighty banishing hammer in the mail. Let’s hope it’ll be enough for us not to get smashed
Hello
So…one of my friends just reached 200 gold and offers me to lend me this money (so I can get the “golden” achievement). Now if we do that we’ll obviously have to send the money by mail and it’s a lot of money. So we are concerned about the gold seller detection system. Is there any risk for this kind of transaction to trigger this system (resulting in a ban for my friend, me or both)?
Thanks for your answers
I love how necromancers are totally forgotten. :P
As I said that list is based on my personal experience and is not exhaustive. The list would have been too long and incomplete anyway (since I don’t perfectly know all classes.). So I silenced a lot of problems I judged “minor” to focus on problems with more impact on the game, by making some fights feel unfair or pushing players in a unique strategy… As an elementalist I could have talked about gust, tornado or glyph of elemental for example. Skills that need rework in different ways but can wait. Same thing for the gardian lack of distance…since I believe the only solution to that problem is a new weapon it’ll have to wait a little…
However I have to say I never had problems with my necro in WvW. It’s not even lvl 50 and I can already take on opponent I would never dream to attack with an elementalist of the same level… So if there is a big problem with the necro I’m sorry but I didn’t experienced it yet(and I could speak for my friends too). But I experience new problems every day. Just yesterday I discovered how OP is Ride the lighning and how it participate to the power of D/D ele (If you wonder why I didn’t know before it’s just because I play my own build which is not D/D and probably answer to that problem without me noticing…). And this one should be added to the list (obviously unfair for most other classes)…
One of the reasons I have issues with the 5-cap on AoE. That, in a sense, punishes tactics. Hopefully, they find a good balance between dps/targeting.
I agree but on other hands the 5-cap guaranty AoE not to become too much of a problem in every gamemode and removing it would kill single targeted approach for obvious reasons. That’s quite a problem but for now the only solution I see is to rely on siege weapon and improve them against large concentrations of players…We would need another brain on this problem…
(edited by silvos.3092)
My propositions are based on two simple ideas:
-Rules should be the same for everyone
-Rules should push people in interesting forms of gameplay
Towers – our ability to hide in a tower/keep is nowhere near infinite. Indeed, -iirc- the perma-stealth on thieves is a known CnD > wall abuse. Do keep this in mind, please.
[…]
Between that, and our low base speed, it’s not the LoS of portal that is the problem.
Since I play mostly mesmer and elementalist in WvW I’m well aware of the problems we have with LoS. And personally I don’t have anything against the idea of hiding inside the fortress to make our friends enter later (actually I find it quite a fun thing). The problem isn’t here. The problem is that skill being the only way(out of exploit) to do it. If others professions were able to obtain similar results (using different ways) the question of portal would be a nonsense. But it’s not the case and we all know how important the mesmer has become in term of WvW strategy.
So we have to balance it with other classes by either forbidding this use of the portal skill (LoS being an excellent solution in my mind since it solves the jumping puzzle problem in the same time) or by giving every other class a way to get similar results. And obviously for now the easiest is to shut the portal down (maybe later they’ll be able to create new skills for other profession to do the same and we can have the old portal back).
Now, as for Ele and l-flash/churning. I’d have to call that a L2P issue. You KNOW Eles can teleport. You KNOW CE is one sloooooooow mother to cast.
I know that but this particular combo(when used properly) is too powerfull since you can displace it whenever you want…I’d also add the graphic effect is strange. Now I know you can doge it, interrupt it, … But a skill that powerfull is supposed to be placed at the righ moment… Not used randomly and insta-moved to the ennemy spot.
Thieves and Initiative. Honestly, I play one on occasion. Fact is, it’s the combo of init + stealth/culling that we want to deal with. Physically, they are fricking SQUISHY.
They are supposed to be squishy…And honestly I think their damages are well balanced too. The problem is they obtain hight results with a low skill level. So what basic needs to be done with them is to rise the skill needed to obtain those results. And that’s done by giving penalty to unskilled uses of the class and reward to skilled uses…
Now, if we want to use a # limit on portals, merely make those huge boys (Golems) = 2 persons/per. They’re definately big enough. Same could be argued for stealth. Siege repairs is something we desparately need.
The idea is interesting for the stealth yet I’m still against the idea of golems being able to be moved faster then they’d go by walking…Let me explain
Golem is a very powerfull weapon and it’s the only siege weapon able to be moved. But they also are very slow… In that form they gives player a strategic choice:
-building them in a safe zone and then moving them. With this tactic the golem is safe during the building but can be attacked while moving to his target.
-building them during the attack. This way the golem is immediately in the fight but vulnerable during the building phase.
But if you allow the golem to be moved at a high speed (or instantly with portal) you destroy this choice by making one of the option far more viable then the other…And obviously the more strategic choices are given to the players, the better…
I don’t think it’s actually balanced. I try to observe things and be as neutral as possible but I still see a lot of problems…
Thieves
-make skill spaming less rewarding (progressive initiative cost/damage reduction with the repeated use? also add combo bonuses to encourage and reward people building their play more than playing their build)
-Fix stealth (lag on apparition +people not appearing for a short period of time when hit as originally intended)
-Make people leave stealth when they use an attack skill instead of when it hits (if you miss you should have a penalty…not an other try for free…)
Warrior
-apply adrenaline cost when the burst skill is used and not when it hits (same reason)
Mesmer
-decrease portal uses to 10 and make it needs a walk-able way between the entry and exit (like every teleport of the game)
-apply a 10 uses limitation on veil (stealth an entire zerg with a single non elite skill is not acceptable)
-fix the trident clone attack (currently every single attack apply one stack of confusion)
Elementalist
-make that caster targeted AoE are placed when the skill is used and don’t follow the caster after being placed (it’ll break the churning earth+ flash combo)
Rangers
-rework pet’s AI and stats balance
General
-Make siege golems immune to stealth and forbid them to be tp (so no portal or waypoint tp)
-create a reparation mechanic for siege weapons
-make a uniform rule for siege projectile (with no exception like the elementalist is…same rule for everyone)
Of course this list isn’t exhaustive, only concern class balance and is only based on my personal experience…But I think it’s a good summary of what should be done to make WvW fun for every class…
(edited by silvos.3092)
Or just make that portal works like every teleport…with the need of a walk-able way between the two points you want to link…That way you solve portal in closed fortress (since the walls will break the link) and in jumping puzzle (no more press F to win…). Simple and effective…
I see plenty of people having awesome fights when fighting outnumbered (myself included), perhaps you need to rethink the way you are trying to fight WvW when the game changes?
I had fun when fighting outnumbered (actually they are the bests fights)…but there are outnumbered fights and winnable fights… When we had fights like 10 vs 30 with advantage of the ground that was outnumbered fight…But when you arrive at 5 in a zerg of 40+ people without seeing them or having any clue there are people here (everybody else being in the zerg there is no need for scoots so you have absolutely no information anymore) that’s not a winnable fight…
As for rethinking the way we fight in WvW we found the solution: go in the zerg like everybody, spam your autoattack, take your kills and leave as soon as you don’t need more kills/loot…that’s all you need to know to play WvW now…
Vizunah square has weak pvp skilled players, but only win because they are groupies.
Wrong, at least for a half…Yes we have weak pvp players…but we also have great pvp players…It’s just you don’t see them…And why? Well some of them left the WvW when you made it a Zerg vs Zerg, others are in the zerg for the loot not using their talent anymore since it’s not needed, and the last part of them left GW2 because WvW was their only interest in this game and it has become so boring…
But you can’t blame VS for that…you can only blame yourselves…you made that situation by fighting only in zergs destroying the little groups, using the clipping issue and inciting people from our server to play the same way…You only have the WvW you wished for… I told you that this WvW would be boring but as usual nobody listened (fortunately for me I loooove to say “I told you so”)…
I was fighting in little groups, having great fights in WvW…now I only go there for the tokens and the monthly achievement…But trust me if I could get good fights once again I would come back…So don’t blame us for the consequences of your choices…
Enjoy the WvW you created…
How is it unfair that RUIN decided to transfer to Desolation?
Well…Because as I’ already said a millions of time where VS didn’t chose to nightcap in order to get advantage during the fight your move to the EU ladder was a choice made while perfectly knowing what the consequences would be…
I assume you are on Vizunah judging by the fact you care for neither Deso or BT. Back when you were nightcapping Far Shiverpeaks, Desolation and Riverside, all you could ever tell us was “Get a night team”. We have a night team, and now you are somehow unhappy we took your advice.
I know it’s not your first language(google trad should be used) but if you go to the french forum in the subject talking about nightcapping you’ll see that me, and others from VS were already concerned by the problem far before your move…And, even if some people from our server obiously argued it was normal game play believing it wouldn’t move and they would always take advantage from it, Nightcapping is still competition breaking and quite an unfair thing specially when used deliberately…
And one last thing about fairplay…It also means showing a minimum of respect to the opponent…I know a lot of people dislike french (I myself disagree with a lot of them despite being one)…But insulting us during a competition on a video game is just completely out off limit…
