Guild Wars 2

First chance I’ve had to get back to this, just wanted to say thanks for the detailed replies folks, was very helpful. For what it’s worth I’m leaning towards the Necromancer as I’m quite enjoying the wells playstyle so far, but will level both to 25 before making the final decision.

Looking for some opinions on these classes as I have levelled both to about level 20 and am still unsure which one to take forward as my main (I don’t really have the free time level them both right now).

I’m primarily looking at them from a PVE perspective right now, although I don’t plan on ignoring PVP in the long run. I’m quite happy in a support role, DPSing or tanking, and welcome a profession that allows me to be flexible in that regard. I do like being tough to kill, but from what I have seen and read both classes are pretty good at that, especially the Necro.

The Necro is a Sylvari, and the Engineer is an Asura. :P

So yeah, any advice which may make the choice easier would be welcome at this point. =)
