I would love to see this implemented
I agree with pretty much all of the points you have all made, but I still respectfully disagree.
IMHO, if you are to survive doing PVE at the current moment, you need some Acrobatics or Shadow Arts. Glass cannon Thieves are very effective in PVP but get shattered in two shots from an event boss out in the real world.
My build is an evasion based roflbuild with 0/0/10/30/30.

This is going to seem a bit wierd at first because it is. Why the hell would I have D/D in both sets? Because of Quick Pockets. Weapon switch becomes a “I need three initiative kthxbai” button. What kind of noob takes caltrops AND Uncatchable? Me. Signet of Malice only ticks on casted caltrops. Throw one of those down in a mob of zombies and you now have infinite health. GG. Why is everything meant to regen initiative? Because I spam the f—- out of Leaping Death Lily. Signet of Malice heals me each time I hit each target for all three hits on LDL on top of the Assassins Reward healing.
My strategy is to dodge roll around large groups spamming LDL whenever I get a chance and using my skill set to regen initiative so I can spam it some more. I can get large groups up to 15 stacks of bleed easy and hang around 4 stacks of might. The excessive evasions get me past the CC spam and heavy hits of Orrian mobs. When there is a group of 4 or I really don’t take that much damage and anything that I do take is swiftly regenned because of Malice.
There are three major weaknesses to this build. One is that is takes forever to destroy objects because they can’t be bled. Second isn’t really a bad thing in my eyes, but I have to constantly be on my toes because if I get CC’d, I’m dead. Third is that if I can’t get into a fight to slap 15 stacks of bleed of everyone, fights take a long time.
I honestly don’t expect this build to be the best questing build in existence, but I find it rewarding, effective, and amusing.
Special thanks to Lowell and his “Leaping Super Immortal Death Troll Legendary Unicorn Blossom” sPVP build, which was the main inspiration for mine.
Woo! I have found the solution! The thing that was apparently causing the problem is that I had disabled Catalyst AI in my driver options.
Just in case anyone else is looking for a solution to this problem, just go to the hidden icons section of your start bar, right click the Catalyst Control Center, go to your video card>3D settings>Catalyst AI>and switch it to standard. It is also worth mentioning that I have no idea why or how it works, it just does.
Yeah, I probably should have mentioned that I did try updating my drivers and the problem persisted.
EDIT: I found a solution to the problem which I flagged as the answer
A while ago I started having this lighting issue where objects have checkered looking things on them (with the same color that the light should be) until I get close and they snap to normal looking lights.
This started (or I noticed it) around the middle of September and I haven’t gotten around to posting this issue here. My lighting definitely has worked previously. The most recent screenshot that I have that doesn’t have the bug is from Sept. 2nd and I managed to not take another one until the 25th. I remember noticing the bug, though I am unsure of the date, when I was loading Lions Arch and it took an excessively long time (even for LA) to load; at about 10 minutes I alt-f4’d. When I got into the game a few minutes later, this bug started to appear.
I have messed with every setting available and it, and aside from framerate, it has made no difference, though it is less noticeable on supersample. A little while ago I attempted to perform a repair via the command line argument and it has had no effect. Bad does not begin to describe my internet connection so I would really rather not reinstall the game completely. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem short of that?
If it helps my system specs are as follows (don’t laugh):
Model: HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC
OS: Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Processor: AMD Turion II Dual Core Mobile m520 @ ~2.3 GHz
RAM: 4gb
GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series @ 1969 MB
In the picture, you can see that in the first picture, every object has that checkered effect around it and in the second one you can see it switch as I move closer.

While using the Shadow Arts perk “Hidden Thief” (stealth for 2 secs after stealing) and a main hand pistol, you enter combat, fire a shot while shadow stepping which does damage as you stealth, causing you to leave stealth and not be able to get the bonus damage for Sneak Attack.
Ideally, this perk should make you shadow step, stealth next to them, and be able to Sneak Attack. This bug is a significant disadvantage to the p/d bleed thief playstyle.
I find it ironic that a game that (rightfully) prides itself upon have greater environmental interaction than other MMOs lacks something as basic as being able to sit in a chair. It would also be cool if you could keep the upper and lower body animations on emotes separate so you can /sit and /wave without having to stand.
There is seriously something up in Iron Marches. The RH’s that I have seen are possible, but are extremely tedious due to bugs and I have yet to come to a single DE that actually works in IM. Seriously, you guys need to either fix Iron Marches, or close it off because you aren’t exactly leaving a good impression on your playerbase.
PS: I play on Tarnished Coast if that is helpful
I have seen a boatload of bugs on Tarnished Coast over the last week to the point where I can’t even remember them all, but I’ve reported them all IG using /bug.
