I am a casual player (~15-20 Hours/week). I don’t farm much, I’ve never done a dungeon. I like to clear areas, level characters, run events, do the odd stint of wvw, finish my dailies and play the TP.
I enjoy searching for markets that I can make money in by flipping items, just like you might enjoy farming cursed shore or running COF over and over I enjoy flipping. There are many things you can do in the game to get enjoyment and some of us enjoy the trading aspects.
I don’t think there is any empirical evidence to suggest flipping drives up prices anymore than some guy running COF over and over (and gaining lots of gold) would drive up prices. i.e. if you have more gold you are more willing to pay more for any given item. If flipping does drive up prices then so be it. There is nothing in this game that a player needs just a lot of things that a player wants. You don’t need any particular dye, armor, crafting material or weapon they are all wants. Therefore if the price is too high you either need to work harder or buy something else.
Awesome that worked. Thanks!
So I logged in as my ranger this morning and got my achievement chest where I could choose a skin. I chose the Staff skin.
I put it in the bank for my ele to get but then realized the stupid thing is soulbound not account bound, why would that be?
Is there anyway to transmute the thing so my ele can use it? It is completely useless to my ranger obviously. If i try to transmute to a staff that my ranger has in inventory it makes it soulbound to him.
I am not much for jumping puzzles but am really enjoying this update so far. I had a lot of fun trying to figure out how to get my 40 crystals. I can’t say I enjoy Belcher’s bluff much and I haven’t done much else yet but overall I like the look and feel of the update.
Some updates you are going to like, some you aren’t it all depends on your playstyle. I didn’t like the Sky Pirates thought dragon bash was ok and enjoyed the living story/southsun cove update.
Anet can’t make every update enjoyable or playable for every person. I am just happy there are such frequent updates. The one’s I like I play and those I don’t I mostly skip.
I’ve had the same problem got my reward from scene of the crime went to talk to the suspects and they basically all tell me to leave….
So destroyed kit but no way to enter the instance anymore. Inspector Kiel just remind me who to talk about.
I goto Divinity and talk to Marjorie and she just tells me she’ll meet me in Lions Arch but isn’t there.
In the end I just grinded pinata’s to get my 8th achievement and the dragon wings…if they fix it I will probably go back and finish it otherwise I don’t really care.
I sold most of my coffers on the TP as I don’t really care about skins. I didn’t get one in Southsun (and didn’t care) and didn’t really matter to me if I got one here. When the coffer prices dropped below 2s, i had about 50 of them and decided to open them and got a ticket and a mini so I guess I was fairly lucky.
I wish I could sell it on the TP as I am sure I could make a mint selling it to one of you guys and I would rather have the gold!
I am an American living in the Philippines for a couple of years and am on the Sea of Sorrows server and I have had no problems playing a NA server overseas. SOS is nice because it has a large Aussie population, other servers might be a bit dead however during your play times.
You can also belong to multiple guilds so you can always find one that is more conducive to your TZ
I have no interest in crafting and break down every weapon to the raw mats unless it is worth more than 1s AND there are people that want to buy it. I also wear armor with the rune of the scavenger for the magic find bonus and always snack on a ginger? tart/pie….something that provides a magic find bonus as well.
I usually price it at the lowest sell price (unless there is just 1 guy undercutting). I never take the lowest buy price as I can afford to wait for it to sell. I also finish every area I start which tends to provide some nice bonuses and get the daily achievements a few times a week.
Every 10 levels or so I upgrade all my armor/weapons and right now as a level 53 Ranger i have almost 8G. I don’t know if that is a good amount or not but it doesn’t stop me from buying anything when i want to. time and I do pretty well I think.
I get this all the time as well…after selling x number of items I will starting getting an error has occurred when I try and sell an item. Manually entering the price i.e. iron ore enter 24 (or whatever price you want) manually and then hitting sell seems to work
