maybe none of you have patience to read the full description of the problem.
My bad for writing such long!
As I pointed out, even I turn off vsync, the fps
will drop from 90+ to 33 when watching vista or story line cinema.
when I use fullscreen(windowed) mode, I got expected 60fps in vista cinema view under vsync, which is normal.
my problem is when I enjoy the vista view, I should have 60fps, not crappy 33fps which is laggy! the vista view is not playing video, if you check your fps, I think most people get normal game play fps, not sudden fps drop.
Since i7 920 overclock, I used ZALMAN CNPS series, now I’m using ZALMAN CNPS9900MAXR and very satisfied, under SuperPI test of OC 4.5, the temp is just around 76c, my motherboard and memory is the bottleneck preventing me overclock more than 4.5G, I achieved 4.8G which is not stable under long time SuperPI test, but seems ok for my normal run or game play, of coz it crashes with that high freq ; )
I think CPU. clock is the king here, when I upgraded my very old i7 920 overclocked 3G to latest i7 4770k3.5Ghz, I couldn’t notice the fps improvement, I regretted so much for spending this huge amount of money, but after I overclocked i7 4770k to 4.5g, I got huge fps gain, so if you can’t get more Hz from CPU upgrade, dont buy new CPU
Hi,
I have a high spec PC i7 4770k and GTX660, in most cases even zerg I get constant 60fps in vsync mode.
But every time when the cinema mode came out like in vista view or story movie view, my fps always drop to constant 33fps, weird thing is if I switch from fullscreen mode to fullscreen windowed mode, this problem is gone, but this will give my GPU extra 5% overhead that will decrease my fps in extreme zerg case which I don’t want.
I’ve tried to remove vsync which doesn’t help, it still drops from 90+fps to 33fps.
An interesting thing I’ve noticed that if I disable vsync but use frame limit to 60fps on settings, it makes my game always run at 33fps instead of 60fps it supposed to do!!
I’ve googled around but the only thing I found could be related is someone suggested it is flash related, could be the game using some flash component for cinema mode? People suggest to disable hardware acceleration in flash settings but I couldn’t find it in latest flash player on 64bit IE11.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue or could help out ?
Thanks
Hi,
After I played Word of Warcraft for 7 years, Guild Wars 2 is my second MMO which I like very much for all most everything, the play style, the world, the graphics, the combat, one thing bothers me is that I really want to have more faces and hairstyles to choose, I’m an Asian, and most of those buit-in options feel bit too wild and hard, and not pretty at all, Asian people likes soft and tender females, I tried Tera for some month, it can make prettier Asian faces but the overall characters are bit too lusty…
maybe we can sell more faces/hairstyles in gem store like the dyes ?
