I also suffered this issue. I left the prologue to enter WvW to assist my guild in finishing their first mission and when I returned I was unable to re enter the prologue, thus unable to enter Maguuma, this was a shame because I really wanted to help my guild claim our guild hall.

(Short term solution- entry into Maguuma only)
After various attempts in many different styles, I decided to try a ‘Teleport to friend’ consumable, and kapoof I was inside Verdant Brink. I’m currently standing outside the entrance to the Lost Precipice with my guild. As I was able to teleport to my guildy standing there.

WARNING: By doing this I have still not unlocked masteries, and have not completed the prologue. This is simply a way of entering the Maguuma area. You will be unable to glide, so do NOT use this technique as a total, viable solution to the problem.

Correct, which is a shame. I also am unable to unlock masteries since they unlock after the prologue.

I just used a ‘teleport to friend’ item to WP myself into VB. GREAT SUCCESS! I now have a waypoint I am able to travel to.

I’m also having this issue. I left the prologue to help my guild achieve our first mission and when I returned I was unable to re enter my instance and am stuck. I have tried restarting the chapter whilst in and out of Silverwastes; piggy backing off of a party member’s progress; restarting GW2 completely. All to no avail.

I cannot enter Maguuma and so I’m unable to help my close-knit guild take our Guild Hall.

I’m also experiencing this. Once the launcher starts, the completion bar with progress a few % before stopping. After this no more files are downloaded.

After about a minute the update tracker bar disappears completely.
