The buy page seems to be down. Trying to pass the link onto a friend, but all I get on the page is text. The add to cart button does not add anything to the cart. Attached is a copy of the page that I keep getting when I try to open the link to pass it on.

From what I can gather from the forums and Reddit, it appears that GW2 servers are partially down at the moment.

Returning Player needs a little clarity

in Living World

Also, Dry Top has a weather system that makes it a little difficult to see where you are going at times. When the map first came out, it was a little confusing on the direction to go during the sandstorm.

The Silverwastes is a map where you are trying to complete events in order to advance the overall progress of the meta event in the map. It is a great way to make gold.

Both maps are located to the west of Brisban Wildlands. You do not need season 2 of the Living Story in order to be able to go to them.

Returning Player needs a little clarity

in Living World

The Living Story is currently on hold due to the fact that Anet is currently working on the upcoming expansion (Heart of Thorns). Unfortunately, there is currently no way to replay season 1 of the Living Story. This is due to the fact that Anet designed season 1 of the Living Story as open world temporary content. If you want information on what happened in season 1 you can read it on the guild wars 2 wiki.

Season 2 of the Living World was designed so that the content can be replayed. If you logged in during the original 2 week window when the different chapters came out, you might already have some chapters unlocked. The chapters that are locked can be purchased in the gem store. If you do not want to purchase the chapters you can still experience season 2 of the Living World by going with someone who has the content already unlocked, however you will not be able to earn the achievements for season 2.

The events of season 2 of the Living Story end right before the start of Heart of Thorns. Hope this information helps. Welcome back to Tyria.

The Tengu were there guarding the door before Lion’s Arch was attacked and destroyed by Scarlett. I am glad to see that they decided to return now that the city is rebuilt.

Hey all , I ve been playing wow for like 10 years and i just quit it yesterday.
i downloaded GW2 yesterday but i dont know which class to play so i was wondering if u can help me pick .
I am a dungeons/Raids player , i love PVE , with grps or solo it wont matter and i dont care about PVP at all , so i was wondering whats the most fun class or the most needed for dungeons and raids or overall PVE content ??
thx in advance

I am a dungeons/Raids player ,

Quit while your ahead. or rather dont put too much into the what is currently avail.

Thats probably my biggest con coming from WoW, GW2 dosent really have an homologue to wow’s raid, closest thing youll ever get is the world boss (when people bother doing them) or whichever event zone is the big thing at the moment (silverwaste right now)

Anet has stated that the upcoming expansion (Heart of Thorns) will have challenging group content, but they have not gone into detail yet on what that will be.

There are two types of dungeons in GW2. The first would be the 8 that can be found around the world. These dungeons have a story mode and an explorable mode. The explorable mode for each dungeon is slightly harder then the story mode for each. The difficultly will remain the same for every run that you do for these dungeons. Each dungeon gives a different type of currency that can be spent at a vendor in Lion’s Arch (the city in the middle of the map). From the vendor that is where you can buy different dungeon related weapons and armor. Each dungeon’s armor and weapons have a theme for the dungeon that they are associated with. The different dungeons also have different stats on their items.

The second type of dungeon in GW2 is called Fractals of the Mists. Fractals is a mode where you do 4 mini dungeons in one run. The mini dungeons are randomly selected from a pool. Each one has a slightly different mechanic. The difficulty for Fractals can be increased or decreased (lowest being difficulty scale 1). Fractals also have their own currency that is used to buy ascended related items.

Welcome to Guild Wars 2 Snake.
