We love to do all parts of the game and are highly active in European evenings and weekends but we do have a hardcore USA ladies group

It sounds as though he left you, his friends, with many fond memories of himself, and those memories will bring more smiles to your faces in time, as the pain of his loss lessens somewhat. We are looking to recruit around 5 more dedicated WvW players for our team.
Our current goal is to field a steady 15-20 players.
Any level of experience is welcome and any class.

My husband and I founded House of Light in old LA (GW1). It has been active for 7 years now and thanks to a strong core member group, it is flourishing in GW2. We would love more to join us and make [HoL] the biggest and best its ever been!

I would say that has more to do with the maturity of the playerbase rather than the females vs males itself. Mature people don’t really make a difference between a male player and a female player.

Pretty true, actually. I’ve always been an openly female gamer and used female avatars for years, but I’ve never been showered obsessively with gifts.

Wondering what I’m doing wrong :P It may be that I keep too much sensible, mature company.

In my years of gaming, I have seen Men who role-play girls get far more “gifts” than us real females. They clearly are better at “clueless” than me
