What if the ability/change of the tempest makes it so you can split attunements, one for mh and one for oh? though what do to do with skills…

I think that’s a really cool idea! I actually was thinking maybe warhorn would let people summon all 4 elements at once or something (hay Avatar hay).

I get that people are very concerned with warhorn being an offhand weapon that doesn’t seem to have a lot of potential, but I think ANet did a fairly good job implementing shield (which I would argue is less compelling than warhorn as a weapon) as an offhand elite spec for mesmer. They’ve been pretty innovative with the elite specs so far, and I’m sure they have something as interesting planned for ele as well!

Traeharne ?!?

Haha, I actually like that my character isn’t always the glorified leader in the limelight that all NPCs revere and report to. It’s kind of a refreshing, more realistic take on the hero cycle IMO. That said though, while I personally am pretty impartial to Trahearne, I can see how people might find him dull and uncompelling as a character that supposedly inspires the masses.

And yeah, I also hope Trahearne hasn’t been built up just for him to be corrupted, with us having to kill him and take his place or something. There was a speculation post sometime ago about Trahearne’s cleansing of Orr as an unconscious nod to helping Mordydad (esp. with the glowing vines growing out of the zombieland). But we’ll see! I believe in ANet’s creative juices!

Look out! Payment processor maintenance.

I have the same problem as well! Was itching to make some new characters as well, so went and bought the Ultimate expansion ($100). Neither the final payment page nor the email confirmation had a serial code, just an order number.

I feel you with the frustration; I don’t really have time to play beyond weekends and was really excited to play in some of the beta events and start using the extra character slots. But I hear ANet is usually on top of this stuff, so hopefully it’s just a matter of hanging tight awhile longer!

Constructive Criticism in Practice Arenas

Hey there, I started PVP recently and thought I would try playing in the practice arena to get better without treading on toes. I know this happens a lot in many games, but I was pretty surprised that people in GW2 (who seem relatively nice otherwise!) do a lot of kitten-talking – not even to the other team, but towards their own. A lot of us are still new and learning, and so it can be pretty hard for us against people with years of experience and legendaries.

I’m wondering if maybe instead of talking kitten people could give more advice or suggestion on improvement? Or just not say anything unless it’s constructive? It’s just demoralizing for those of us trying to improve. Unless practice PVP is supposed to be only for hardcore players and I just missed the memo, I just don’t see the point of these responses (and many of them come from people who aren’t contributing that much themselves it seems, which is doubly weird).

Again, nothing new, but just got kind of tired and wanted to speak up. Thanks!
