I have a question. It may be a noob one.
In PvP do you think it’s better to fight the minions of a ranger or necro or just ignore them and let them hack at you until the player is dead.
I usually play a guardian or mesmer and I tend to think targeting them is a bad idea. However, it really annoys me when I have them following me around just biting at me. Sometimes I kill them just so I don’t have to be annoyed.
What do you think or do?
You may want to acknowledge that this is a massive spoiler.
Also maybe put this in the “Living World” forum?
Sounds like he wants a system similar to Age of Conan. When you use a skill you select which direction you want to use that skill. If the opposing player blocks in the same direction then the skill is blocked.
I didn’t like it very much in Age of Conan.
I’m not super versed in the lore, but it seems likely to me that as the game goes on we will discover all the races come from one of the dragons somehow. Maybe us non-sylvari should take it easy on them for right now.
This game doesn’t support a very good wardrobe system, unfortunately.
Seems really awesome to me…
Maybe I’m just untainted by modern games as I mostly prefer the more oldschool mmo’s. Walking 5 miles through the pixelated snow, let me tell ya…
Then not getting back to your corpses in time and your “wardrobe” decays and is lost forever! O.O
And you lost… SKILLPOINTS!!!
hehe
Then you enter a town and guards whack you dead, and everyone loots your new wardrobe, the one you just spent 3HRS killing and looting sewer rats for.
5 miles!!!
Maybe I only play modern MMOs, but this does not sound fun.
When I first came back, I was worried about transmutation charges. I just saved them while leveling (The only thing I would change were weapons.). Now that I’m 80 they seem to flow pretty freely. I always have plenty.
At least it doesn’t cost charges to change your dye.
I strongly dislike the illusion created by keeping track of personal score during pvp match.
It completely fools new players into thinking personal score actually matters… and that a higher score means they did “better”
It encourages things like double capping points, or piggybacking kills…
…and at the end of the match… the only thing everyone takes with them is a win or loss.
In pvp you need to be a team player…. and personal score more often than not promotes personal score boosting… which is detrimental to the team’s overall success.
^ This. I also hate when you get harassed when you have a low personal score because you spent the whole match trying to actually win instead of scoring points.
I was really hoping GW2 was going to be the first MMO to have centaurs as a playable race, but unless it happens within the next year or so, that honor is going to go to Crowfall, which I unfortunately won’t be playing (even though it looks awesome), because it’s going to run on the same scam of a monetary system as Wildstar.
is that a scam that basically consists of paying money for the use of software services? Yeah, diabolical…
Yeah, you should really know what you are talking about before you open your mouth…
Wildstar (and soon to be Crowfall) are not ‘pay for use’ services; they are not pay to play, buy to play, free to play, or even ‘pay’ in any way. They are a system where you can purchase play time from other players, or sell play time for in game rewards. A system that monetarily rewards the game company for making the game as unrewarding as possible, and encourages real life leeching between players. If you don’t recognize that as a scam, I’ve got some prime beachfront property in Arizona I think you’d be interested in.
Umm this is a popular system that is done by lots of games not just Wildstar. EVE does it. So does Rift and Archage. In fact WoW just announced that they are implementing a system like this soon.
I don’t see how it’s a scam to be able to buy game time with in game gold, but that’s for another thread. One not about horses.
It’s pretty clear OP is just another person who farmed a beta portal and didn’t get one and is now mad about it so they lash out at every other thing they can find.
I play every single day because I have more fun on this game than any other game. In fact this is the only game I’ve ever got to max level on, because I typically get bored. I think they’ve succeeded in making a fun game. It isn’t perfect but it’s fun.
Ahh! I didn’t even think about this. I would really like to know too. I’ll cry if not.
