I didn’t suggest the “switch on completely” feature because I figured we would need the reknown hearts (at least for leveling PvEers) to gain exp, karma and such. I didn’t want the post to come across as “give me everything”. But at the very LEAST, give me the WPs so I can at least get around to the dungons and guild missions without having to spend a couple of hours running through areas just to grab those.
I really enjoy that a lot of the features in the game are account wide: Bank, currency, ingredient bank, ascended items, etc
I can understand why map completion isn’t among one of these features. However, for one who isn’t interested in crafting ascended items, a title and achievement points isn’t enough incentive to complete the whole map, in my opinion.
I’d like to suggest that 100% map completion on one toon give the rest of the toons on the same account the discovered WPs. I’m comfortable completing the rest of the POI, vistas and hero points, as I can understand why those are important to not be given instantly – but at least give us the WPs.
That reward would be so much more appealing and motivation to complete the full map.
I love the idea of the Personal Waypoint and I use it frequently. However, I ’d like to be able to add multiple ones on the map that are saved until I remove them. Ones that I can label and color code based on my notes.
I would use it to remind me where I found the entrance to a JP, chests I found, or a portal to the adjacent map. These should be sharable across all toons on the account so I don’t have to re-add them on every character but perhaps there could be an option to switch it off for all toons so they could each have their own personal notes. A searchable box on the map would be ideal to help me quickly find a note I previously added.
The GW2 map is vast and I think AN has done a fantastic job in so many areas of the game. The map is the only feature I find that is lacking. I feel overwhelmed with remembering where every thing is. As the world grows with expansions, this feature would simplify my gameplay and reduce frustration when needing to find certain things in certain places.
I’m in search of a map add-on that allows me to make multiple personal waypoints or even the ability to add pins that I can name.
For example, one use I would like this for is to mark the jump puzzles I have visited to come back to later or make a note in a certain area.
Searched the internet but not coming up with anything.. Anyone found something along those lines that I could use? This may be a good suggestion box ticket as well to have implemented.
If you guest it should fix it. But I agree this needs fixed ASAP. I would a new player know to guest to fix this bug? They might decide to post here in this forum and they’d find out eventually the work around. But in all honesty I don’t think a lot of new players are going to do this. They are going to ask for a refund because the game obviously has issues from the start.
What do you mean by if you “guest” Ive been playing for a few months and dont know how to do this. Please explain – I’d like to take advantage of the 2x experiemce weekend as much as possible.

I looked this up on the internet and found how to guest on another server. Thank you so much foe suggesting it – It fixed it. However, I’ve missed out on 12 hours of 2x bonus experience because of this
For the last 12 hours or so, the level 1 event in the Norn starter area is bugged.
Event name: Join the festive moot brawl.
This is a new event that must have been implemented recently – made lots of Norn’s and never had to do this event before accompanying Eir.
It never ends, thus, Eir never appears at the stairs to kill Issormir. There have been countless new players who have made level 1 Norn’s and are stuck in the tutorial – we can not progress.
