They’re low quality character models. It’s a setting that you can use to make the game perform better.

To go back to to Settings > Graphics Options. Towards the bottom will be an option that says Character Model Quality, set it to anything other than Lowest, and you should start to see normal character models.

Supply has a something to do do with it. The strong leather pants have a supply about 50-60. The privateer has a supply about 200-225. Higher supply means that people are underbidding each other more often and the prices drop.

I’ve started playing GW2 for a week or so now and something in the trading post has been bothering me. I’m really curious why some items (example: lv 50 Strong Leather Pants)
costs so much more than (lv 50 Strong Privateer Pants of Divinity) while their stats are all the same?

Only differences I see is their skin and one has minor rune in it.
