Not materials, but it would be nice to have some sort of key ring to store all of the various keys we use to open chests in different areas of the game.

No longer able to ress in combat?

For these who say that you need to be downed 5 times to be completely defeated, you are forgetting that mobs love finishing off downed players. Once me ele goes down, next attack from some of the dungeon bosses finishes me off. And in worse case scenario, it also downs players that are trying to revive me. There are plenty of encounters in the dungeons where reviving downed players nearly impossible.

The dungeons will require a massive overhaul to support such mode of play. And for these elitists that love to point out how they win every encounter, you do understand that such change will nerf these fights that you are so proud of. Now, there is some sort of a balance, good players can win without wiping out and brag about it, bad players somehow manage to struggle through. With a change, these hard encounters will become easier to account for inability to use rez points. At least now we, “bad” players have a challenge to learn how to make through hard encounter without wiping out, now this challenge will be removed.

And I want to believe, really want to, that Arena will manage to change the dungeons in good way, but I just doubt that there was enough testing done. How about making some massive real-life testing? Make a third option when entering the dungeon, test run the new version of dungeon, no rewards for now. To see how different players manage this new system. I believe that there are plenty of people in the game who play for fun or for challenge, and they will try new system even without rewards.

In GW1 developers usually explained the reasoning for changes in the skills. I really really really would like to hear someone from A-Net explaining to us what are they intend to do with Elementalists. As someone pointed last time we got response was on page 22.
Throw us at least some bone, come to say hi, lie to us saying that balance is very complicated, but you are working on it. Just something for us to see that you’re not completely ignoring us.

The GW2 exists because of the people who played GW1 and enjoyed lack of gear-progression and having only twenty levels. Is that really the message A-Net wants to send to us, that players like us do not matter?

As for the people who say that we jump to conclusions, if we were mistaken, I think the the developers would already clarify the issue. Their silence is not reassuring.
And i repeat again, ignoring the fanbase won’t make the problem go away, it will just anger people more. Like over 100 pages of this topic alone(after moderation).

Less than a year ago I was present at the kittentorm at Bioware official forums, when they finally cemented their disregard for core fanbase. I won’t say that BW is doomed, I’m rather curios how it will play out for them with new fanbase (personally, being fan of a RPG I left). Right now, reading “thank you for your feedback” response from A-Net kinda brings memories, since it’s almost word for word the BW response to enraged fans. Obviously, it’s not on the same level as BW scandal, but not responding to forum’s outcry will not make the problem go away, it will only anger and disappoint fans more. And it’s pretty obvious that the core fanbase, these that played GW1 with it’s twenty levels and cheap max level armor and weapon for years, is the one that’s disappointed.

One of the beauties of GW1 was the fact that I could leave the game for year and then return and dive right into some mission or dungeon without need to upgrade my armor or weapon. Maybe we did misunderstand and are just panicking, but the lack of response and clarification from developers does note bode well…

Mobs becoming invulnerable and healing halfway through fight

This is not the first topic that complains about this mechanic. Something really needs to be done about it.
The game forces me to run and dodge constantly because mobs are intentionally hit very hard to force us into using dodging and then in the moment I cross invisible line they don’t just run away (I would be fine with it) but they gain invulnerability and regeneration. And the best thing – my character, unlike monster, stays in the combat mode and, it’s really fun, still keeps the aggro, and that’s why mobs are usually come back to finish us once they feel better.

I actually really would like to hear Arena’s opinion on how we, players, are supposed to deal with the situation.

Harvesting Tool Manager

Well, I don’t really understand why tools are soulbound at all. It’s a minor inconvenience, but it is annoying that, for instance, I can’t share it with my friend if we both are far away from traders. Oh, well, I realized that it’s probably should force me into buying merchant summons.
GW1 was incredible in the ways it was made for player convenience. In GW2 inconveniences are pretty minor, but they are there.

Same here, we tried logging out, reforming party, inviting each other – nothing worked. I just start my quest without any option for invite.
