I recently left all my current guilds in order to rearrange them on my panel, and found that when I rejoined, the guilds won’t assign themselves to the /g1, /g2, etc.
My understanding is that the guilds list themselves in order of the time you joined. Is there a setting I missed?
Thaumanova Fractal has 4 possible colliders which can be deactivated. In the low levels only 2 need to be deactivated, in medium level you will need to deactivate 3 and in high levels 4 (dont know the exact scale where the value changes).
Subject 6 can allways be done, even in low levels, people only do heat+laser because if people know what to do, those go faster. Even in med levels a lot of people skip subject 6 because in almost every group there is at least 1 person that ignores the block phase and keeps attacking.
You can allways just ask your group if they want to do it, just mention it gives an extra champion chest, a lot of people will do it.
Ah, okay. That makes a lot more sense. Since it was tied to the Subject 6 Deep-Sixer achievement, I thought Subject 6 was an optional boss you had to force to spawn or something of that nature.
I’ll ask any future PUG/guild groups I get into if they want to do it. Thanks for the help!
I’ve run into a problem where I need to use the Laboratory Equipment in Subject 6’s Lab (Thaumanova Reactor Fractal) to combine two parts for the Spark Precursor.
The problem is that I have never seen any of my fractal groups run or even mention Subject 6. Every run I’ve done involves the Superheated Room and the room with the lasers.
Is there a special requirement for spawning or fighting it? All the /wiki’ing in the world tells me to simply go fight it, but how?
If it helps, my personal Fractal level is 26, and my AR is 50 (unbuffed, no potions, etc).
I ran across this issue while in the LFG for Ascalonian Catacombs.
If an LFG listing is removed, because a player removed it or the party fills up, the LFG title still remains in the list with no members listed. This makes it difficult to determine what parties need members in the LFG.
I’m not sure if this issue is in the AC LFG, as I can’t seem to reproduce it in the other tabs of the LFG. Relogging did not help the issue.
The issue seems to have been linked to NVIDIA GeForce and the ShadowPlay feature. When I disabled ShadowPlay, my game functions as normal. I am concerned because up until today, I could use ShadowPlay with no issues. But I’ll take what I can get.
Thanks everyone for your assistance.
Thanks for the help, though running the repair exe didn’t seem to fix the issue. :/
My settings have not changed between yesterday and the time that this problem started, around 2PM EST.
I assume it’s something within GW2 itself, because my ability to double-click things to interact with them works in other games and in Chrome.
Title.
I cannot double-click to interact with anything in my inventory or to withdraw/deposit materials in storage/bank. Single clicking things and right-click context menus work, but nothing else.
I have checked my mouse settings in the Control Panel (I’m on Win7) but nothing has changed.
Edit:

Thanks for that information. I had no idea that the chat codes changed. The chat codes I was trying to preview were outdated.
Starting today, I cannot get chat codes to properly link to an item when I input them into chat. They either show up in the expanded form as text (i.e. [&AgHwdwAA]), with no link to click, or they show up blank next to my name in the chatbox. Other players can see the item I’m linking, but I can’t.
Is this an issue with my UI?

Zone Kessex Hills
Area Dominion Killin Zone, near Overlake Haven Waypoint
Issue My screen was filled with hundreds of mirrored panels. They reflected my character if I had the reflection settings set to that. Other players could not see them.
A quick relog fixed the issue, but my husband saw it as well on his computer. My graphics drivers are up to date, as well as his.
I attempted to finish the final PS mission Victory or Death about 20 minutes ago.
Partway through the actual battle with Zhaitan, I disconnected. Any attempts to re enter the dungeon instance caused my GW2 client to crash. I tried to enter the instance with multiple characters, but they all caused the client crash.
I was told this might be an issue with people in EotM as well. Is this a known bug?
Still pretty mad about the changes to the leveling system, tbh.
I had thought about it for a while, and it seems like the timing is what makes me fume about the whole thing. This game was functioning perfectly fine for two years. AFAIK, the combat system was more or less the 5-10-20-30 system that I had gotten used to. I was even okay with the Traits being locked behind level 30. It was simple to complete a few maps, get the skillpoints, and spend a minor amount of gold to unlock.
The locking of utilites behind low level gates and unlocking all your weapon skills fairly quickly through combat against low level monsters was fine. Even playing as an Elementalist and learning 40/80/120 whatever number of skills you had to unlock was tedious, but doable.
With this new system, I’m aware that new players are now given more time to learn each individual skill and really master it before they get another one. You unlock your weapon skills 1 and 2 early on and aare forced to really learn the complexities of those abilities before gaining more. But for players who aren’t as…intuitive (?I hate using that word sometimes) all they’ll grasp is WEAPON SKILLS ONE AND TWO FOR THE ENTIRE GAME, AMIRITE?! because that’s all they had the patience to learn in the beginning.
I’m also ashamed to admit it, but maybe I’m just being a grumpy old fart about the whole thing. At least grandfather older players in, or have some way to track player progress. I’m leveling a new mesmer after having deleted a level 60 mesmer. Anet, why not realize I know how to play a mesmer and just let me move on with the Tutorial Mode?
I’m also afraid of map changes, it seems. Because just going through Metrica Province was depressing. The water quest being moved to another simple terrestrial “kill so many of x enemy” was annoying. So was the changes to the Obsolete Scrap Bot heart nearby. It taught you, in a simple manner, how to revive allies and use bundles/golems/environmental tools. I had a distinct flow/method around completing each map. Now it’s broken by locating the heart’s new location, and in some cases, having to backtrack and get skillpoints that were not previously accessible because I was not the required level.
PvP and WvW are not my strong points in this game. Being a player of only seven months means I am still learning those two realms of the game. Whenever they frustrated me, I could find comfort in picking up an alt and rampaging through Tyria, sometimes starting from level 1. Now that feels like another thing I must grind through to enjoy anymore.
I sincerely hope Anet considers a rollback or a way for players to opt out of this new system. I know it’s not that simple, with intricate code reworking to do, but it would really help calm down the playerbase.
Why were the skills gated behind such high level requirements? I understand that new players need guidance, but forcing people to have to wait until LEVEL 40 for any sort of combat potential is unnecessary.
I picked this game up seven months ago with little to no experience in playing MMOs. The combat system is(/was) the most simple and intuitive system I had ever seen. Once you learned your skills (at level 20!) all it took to play the game was your own eye-hand coordination. Nothing else. Now you took a system that was 2 years old and doing fine, and destroyed it.
Good job, Anet. I was on board with the traits at level 30 thing, but this…is wrong.
9/10? I like it, because it seems like you’ve already earned a fearsome title from your adventures. The Valkyrie part is fitting.
My (female) Norn Thief is named Ragna Beifuss at the moment. Thinking of changing the last name sometime…
