I tried searching the forums and previous suggestions, but I haven’t had any luck bringing up any relevant info from it. As I understand it, Guild Banners that give you buffs such as Magic Find, Karma, Experience, etc. don’t actually count towards receiving influence from those who use your banner.
My suggestion is to make Guild Resource banners another source of influence per how many people click on your banners. This might be more incentive for guilds to drop banners, not just for their own guildmates, but the entire server as well.
I’m not entirely sure what the increase should be per player who clicks on the banner, or if it’ll result in a bunch of banners being dropped needlessly. I’m hoping that those dropping the banners will take note of the gain vs the cost of influence to make a banner will keep people from dropping them when there’s a ton nearby.
Also, I don’t know how ANet would circumvent people clicking on banners endlessly to stack influence gain, so maybe others who find this idea worth looking into can think of something.
