I am a returning player and this time I bring my wife with me into the game.

She’s still on a free account, and after a while, I’ve just realized that we are in a different world. I’ve read that you can delete all of your characters to be able to switch world for free, but how about a free account? Is it still possible to do so?

That isn’t what he said at all, but I can understand reading comprehension might be hard for you. The people who always complain about the lack of GVG in a game called Guild Wars know nothing about the lore because the GUILD WARS happened long before the first game even happened. It had nothing to do with the players at all.

in PvE..
i hate ppl who are waiting to be revived when they’re defeated in the heat of battle and the waypoint is near
defeated player should warp to a waypoint and go back, that’s faster and more effective
i’m not anti social, it’s just too time consuming and your armor would be already damaged
especially in dungeons or small group PvE, when ppl are too busy handling the mobs
in WvW however, you should revive them all

I’m just throwing suggestions out there, but I guess I didn’t explain myself correctly. I never meant like 1G penalty on death, but more like -xsilver/-xcopper depending on your level. Surely, one can argue that goldloss on death is overkill on this fictive-PVP server, since people would have to pay to respawn on waypoints. Good point.

nope i’m sure of it, the worlds’ population are changing every single minute
i always transfer to a more deserted world when i need to farm in cursed shore (less people = more gold), so i can see it changing
you may try it yourself, watch the worlds’ population once every hour or so
perhaps it’s because people are still transferring between worlds

i hope Anet close the free transfer soon though
it’s highly exploitable

waypoints prices are fine as it is
level 80s can earn 5-10 gold per day, i don’t think 2-3 silver per waypoints is too high
let’s say even we use waypoints 50 times per day, it’s still a surplus

I am totally against mounts. I see no need for them. You have waypoints all over the place. Plus most if not all classes can give themselves a speed buff. All they have to do is take the time to learn the weapon or spell to do so.

Mounts are something else to have to chase after. Plus then the statement comes up “Why can’t we have combat on mounts”

Now I have to admit that if you look at concept art you will see mounts there. Like bison for the Norn for example.

But still I see no need for them. If in future expansions that make it where you have truly long distances to travel then I will most likely change my mind.

GW2 has the technology to warp you in an instant using waypoints, why would you go back to the traditional way using mounts?

accelerate is 33% speed, and every class (as far as i can see) has it

moreover, mounts would be useless in GW2
as there are aggresive mobs everywhere, and they run faster than your accelerate boon
you’ll get kicked out of your mount easily, which make them pretty useless in the end

every single person’s play style is different
while some players like to play it slow but sure, others just want to grab those exotics as soon as possible and tackle WvW to kill some guys
in some situations (if you’re in a ninja/scouting squad), you’ll run into a single player or a small party
and believe me, you won’t win 1v1 or 1v2 with just greens or yellows
that’s what exotics for

so i’ve just noticed it today..
there is a cooldown in swapping between pets, in or out of battle

is it intended?
