Appears the only problem I have upon getting the account back is the hacker transferred me to a European server, and my original server is full so I can’t transfer back.

My account has successfully been returned, thank you. I hope you guys are making progress so this becomes less of an issue in the future. I apologize for being rude, but this was a very frustrating situation to be placed in so soon after getting started. I’ve made many security changes to ensure that this doesn’t happen (as easily at least) again.

If the ArenaNet team was a little more prompt with their responses and didn’t leave all of these paying customers in the dark about what their account status is, there wouldn’t be a need to make multiple posts and bump them until an answer was given. I like how I’m the bad guy now.

Word of mouth is great advertisement. I have a friend who was going to get this game and play with me, but since I’ve had all of these issues, he has changed his mind. That’s 50 bucks ArenaNet won’t be making because of their poor customer service. I’ve been waiting for a week to get my account back now, and not a single reply to any of the emails I’ve sent them.

Perhaps instead of someone from ArenaNet moving this post to page 17+ of a different thread you can actually take a look at the ticket and see if you can fix the problem. I know it’s a lot to ask, but I figured after paying 50 bucks to be banned for 1+ week you guys could actually do some work and help a customer out.

Since my old post got moved to page 17 of some other thread, I figured I’d let you guys know that after 1 week of waiting still nothing has been done. I don’t want to upgrade to your deluxe edition… I’d just like to play the regular edition I spent 50 bucks on and got to play for 2 days before you banned me for no reason.

Amen brother. I got this same email today and I find it insulting. Hey, we stole 50 bucks from you, and banned your account for no reason. Here, give us more money to upgrade to the deluxe version you won’t be able to play!

And still no answer from Arena Net as to why my account is banned. If they stood by their word, I should have had my account back 4 days ago, but loyalty to their customers seems to be the last thing on their mind.

At this point, I’m beyond frustrated and getting VERY upset. I’d really like to have the 50 bucks I wasted on this game back so I could go out and buy something I could play, but I doubt there’s any chance of that happening.

Here’s my ticket number 120906-010208, but seeing as this is the 3rd or 4th post I’ve made here with no help yet, I doubt it’ll help either. Running out of ideas on how to get any sort of response from you guys.

120906-010208 is my ticket number. Any chance anyone can do something about this? I’ve got 1 email from AN about this situation, and I followed the directions in the email to change my account password. I figured upon completion of that my account would be unbanned, but it’s still a no go. At this point, any help or response would be greatly appreciated.

I feel that if they’re going to ban the account for being “hacked,” then they need to be speedier with their replies to those who have been banned to be protected. If that makes any sense…

My account wasn’t hacked, I’m pretty sure of that, and I haven’t done anything to warrant a ban, but I still haven’t heard anything back since I’ve reported the problem, and I don’t have any idea if I’ll be able to get my account back, and when it will happen.

Wil be issuing a chargeback in 24 hours

Drintar Same thing has happened to hundreds of us… maybe thousands. Not sure really. No warning. No email. Banned. And when you are banned – (in my case anyhow) we cannot see who logged in when because they created a “support” account to be able to communicate.

Savious is well within his rights to dispute the charges. I took a different route but have hopefully covered myself in case I never get an answer. It’s disappointing at best to purchase something and have to spend hours trying to figure out why you suddenly cannot use the game you spent a decent bit of money on and had waited to play.

Just wanted to throw some attempt at reason in here. Sav is upset and certainly not acting like a 5 year old. I can assure you the Better Business and Consumer Protection organizations would agree an ultimatum is reasonable. Sadly, I do not think in the current situation it will help him get answers any faster. Sometimes you just have to wait out the bad to get to the good. I hope Guild Wars 2 makes right by the players that had to go through this.

Excellent response. I’m in the same boat as the OP here and it is absolutely frustrating. I feel like I’m being cheated out of my money. It’s one thing to be banned, it’s a completely different issue when you don’t know what you’ve been banned for and everything you do to find out nets you with no response at all.

I’m pretty sure I have. What is the avg. wait time to hear anything at all back? I filled something out this morning around 9:30 or so, and still haven’t heard anything back besides the standard reply.

Seems I’m not the only one having this issue. Last night I logged on and ran around buying weapons from heart quest vendors I had completed earlier while my GF was in the shower. When she got out, I logged off and we watched a movie. I went to bed, and this morning when I woke up and tried to log on for some reason my account had been perma banned.

I’ve grouped with one person since I’ve had the game. I have said maybe a total of 10 things in /map. The only reason I can think of being banned is I went afk for about 30 mins while I was standing in town to go to the store.
