Just wow. I’m writing this post just to say anyone who was involved with the music for the nightmare fractal needs some sort of bonus this holiday season.
For me, music and audio makes up 50% of a game. I know many people who turn in-game sounds off and just listen to their own music, it’s crazy!! You lose so much immersion when you turn in-game sound off!
The first time I ran nightmare I was awe struck by the music. It added to the creepy atmosphere of the level design. I was almost expecting something similar to Subject Alpha to appear for one of the fights!
Again, the music, amazing!!!!
welp…thought I could delete this entire post. Guess not. You can close or delete it now.
No one even said that to me in LA or divinities reach! I’ll give that a try.
Roll back the servers? Are you kidding me? Don’t let other people’s AP numbers and a title over their character head be the cause of every other player losing progress since the last patch.
You people really need to get your priorities straight if a few extra people passed you in Achievement points. It’s not a duplication glitch of precursors or anything drastic. No ones getting infinite Karma.
This does not directly effect anyone who doesn’t exploit this bug, just a few insecure people might be kittened off, but oh well! Let’s cry and smash our keyboards while we are at it. Why not make the issue even more blown out of proportion than it already is!
Roll back the servers… wow. I shake my head. I better ask my brother to give me half his paycheck because he gets paid more than me and does less work.
Just wait until a fix, but I do like this idea!
Here’s how it should be fixed:
1. Wait until April 1st.
2. Give everyone GWAMM.
3. Change it to “Mortal Walking Amongst Glorious Gods”.
4. Give people who actually earned GWAMM their title back.
5. Profit! (profit in this case being a new title!)You’re welcome world!
that would be awesome.

He said, “I am completely dumb when it comes to computers so when you reply please just trying to dumb it down as much as you can”
I don’t think he will venture into the overclocking world.
You don’t need an aftermarket cooler, and SSD is always nice, I should get one.
Some may disagree with me here but generally with long load times it is because of a slow processor or system in general. If you are still on an Athlon CPU then it is best to upgrade, you will notice a system wide performance boost…except for maybe opening the internet lol.
Gw2 is fairly dependent on the CPU unlike a lot of other newer popular games. AMD does make great products, but its single core performance is lacking so it really struggles with games like gw2.
All my friends running i5’s seem to have half the load time as me and around 1.5-2x the frame rates. Im running an AMD Phenom II 955 with a R9-280x and I get a whopping 25fps in busy towns and 35fps elsewhere. I just upgraded from a HD 5750, which I was getting slightly fewer fps. The obvious culprit here is my processor. My CPU does beat yours by quite a bit, and it runs other games perfectly. Im getting 60+ fps ein every other game and it pains me that I have to switch to Intel and not be such a huge AMD fanboy haha jk, Intel is great stuff.
I’ve yet to try AMD’s FX series processors, so if anyone could tell me how well they are performing on gw2 that would be great.
With my advice I would get a new CPU and motherboard. Get an i5 processor and a motherboard that is not a z87 chipset if you do not plan on overclocking and if you want to save a little money.
Processor:

Motherboard:

But I suggest this combo deal if you are planning to purchase soon.

But if you want to overclock and have a motherboard with all the bells and whistles you can go ahead and spend a total of $400+instead of $275.
This is just a small piece of advice comparing my AMD system to my friends i5 systems and this is the conclusion I have come to. But there are some people out there with AMD processors getting 60fps in quiet zones and 40 in busy towns, so there might be a bunch of us arguing here before you make a final decision lol.
Edit:
I also forgot you will need ram, you are probably on DDR2 ram and you will need DDR3.

Here is some nice cheap quality stuff, 8GB is more than enough for gaming.

The only way to fix the ridiculous pre prices is for people to stop ordering precursors. But that’ll never happen
For people after the legendaries, I’m sorry but GW2 only caters to people who use real $$ – they don’t care about the rest of us who don’t. You will be sick & tired of GW2 by the time you’re halfway done.
But Kudos to you who entirely farmed for them & actually made them. Lemme know what it’s like to not have a life.Just find a different MMO to play. easy fix
You know, gw2 has killed the sub fees so people don’t have to spend money every month. They still need to support wages, server equipment bill, etc. They do this with their optional Gem store.
Guild wars did AMAZING with how their gem store works, you can’t exactly buy the best equipment out there and just win. It is not Pay to win. Anyone can EASILY save up for exotics. Sure some of the cheaper exotics aren’t pretty but that’s wear grinding comes in(for once in this game). If you really want those legendary or flashy skins then pour $15 a month into the Gems and convert them into gold. Except with guild wars your $15 will actually help out your account, not just go into Anets pocket. They didn’t make any weapon so powerful and expensive that you need your credit card to obtain them. This game is based on skill, money will not make you a better player in anyway.
This thread is ridiculous! There is only thee things this game requires grinding. Fractal skins, Legendary’s and the odd release items like weapon tickets. Where is everyone’s sense of achievement? Everyone knows the chances of getting a precursor, that is what gambling is all about. If you lost 600g trying to get your precursor; well that is your own fault. You should have just saved up and bought it out. Yes some people get lucky and others aren’t, that’s life.
Crafting the pre’s? No, that is a stupid idea. Once everyone is running around with a legendary it isn’t going to feel special finally earning it for yourself. This game is already easy enough as is. Let me grind fotm for a skin and hope one day I get a precursor drop farming Orr or a dungeon. Not every item can be readily available to everyone. I wanted one item from the dragon bash event, after dropping 26g on coffers I finally got a ticket. It makes me happy knowing everyone won’t be running around with the same shield skin as I have. Also makes me feel happy for those new lucky players and older players who snagged a ticket after 100 coffers, maybe that was their first bit of good luck in the game. I do feel bad for those who opened 5k coffers and didn’t get a single one. There is an official wiki explaining just about everything that is in the game. Do your research before you make a risky move.
Everyone needs to grow up.
