WvWvW is seemingly based off the 3 faction pvp system in Dark Age of Camelot. Will we ever see a Darkness Falls equivalent for WvWvW? Do you guys agree that the systems and game mechanics are in place to make an amazing equivalent to this PvP/PvE dungeon?
What is your stance on letting players see the enemy’s nameplates or something to indentify said enemy player? We already have progressed toward more character individuality in WvWvW with being able to show off our armor and weapons and soon possibly our dyes (I believe), will we see more? Perhaps even a kill feed? Or do you feel that this is a negative feature for the community?
Is raiding of some sort outside of farming magic find hot spots and Claw of Jormag being considered?
How do I go about submitting information about an encounter where I witness a player hacking? I believe I did submit a bug report but was unable to give full information (including player’s account name, which I did not want to display on the forums for privacy/admin wrath reasons) when I did so.
If an admin would like to send me a PM I can provide information and a screen capture.

You do well in representing the type of players that play this class Stice. I have the pleasure of listening to them in TS/Vent. You don’t seem so far off. Oh wait, I just made an ‘objective analysis’.

That said, if you guys are just happy with your simple DPS rotation … hats off to you.
The intent of my OP was to discuss pet body blocking → collision with projectiles. I understand the game tries to be that of an action combat in some ways but this an issue. An issue that is not solely tied to Ranger only.

The pet is meant to block projectiles so you are forced to deal with it, as the pet is a big part of the Ranger. If you could shot through the pet, everyone would just ignore it, and get dealt a lot of damage in return. But it’s not really a problem at all, if you just use control skills like chill or knockback to get rid of the pet, and you remember to always move. Also; AoE attacks.
Like I said, they already have medium armor, HP, and pretty darn good utility skills plus a pet. The pet should not act as a damage cushion against ranged attacks. Chill, Knockback, effects will only work on pets that attack in melee. What will that do against pets that just sit at range and attack like spiders and devourers?
This problem is not completely isolated to one class. Mesmer is another class that has this advantage as well.

Wow, thats all you have to do to deny my post. Say I am butt hurt over losing to a ranger …. very creative.
I actually have yet to lose to a ranger. I came close once but I prevailed. Do you really think that someone who knows ranger’s DPS rotation would lose to a majority of them?

I am not an upper echelon SPvP player who knows the ranger inside and out including the OP traits, builds, etc.
I am going based off what I see in WvWvW. In my experiences, the class seems to be limited to Axe/Warhorn + Longbow. Very few people bother with Shortbow.
It isn’t hard to understand the appeal of the class especially for those that love to compete in WvWvW. Longest range consistently in the game without kit equips, a pet (two w/ swap) for company and some slightly added utility, and easy DPS rotation.
The rotation currently seems to consist of using Bird call off warhorn-> bleed axe throw + Longbow damage ramp up ability and if they get in trouble, use guard (pet) utility skill.
The most annoying thing in fighting rangers is being a ranged class and TRYING to let your ranged attacks land on him instead of it being body blocked by his pet which he will eventually swap if/when it gets low on health. No matter how well you strafe, mouse turn to angle your attacks, and time your jumps to throw the projectile over the pet; this is annoying.
The intent of my post is not to start a nerf rant but rather what a majority of rangers do in WvWvW that I encounter. Perhaps give them other viable weapon abilities?
The pet body blocking issue has to go though. They should not be able to eat attacks passively AND use the Pet Guard utility skill. Heck, give their pets another passive ability.
Medium HP, armor, Pet and decent utiltiy skills. Pet that body blocks projectiles? Too much

As I stated in my original post, I looked for the answer myself within this forum and other game related resource sites so I doubt other players know the answer to my question.
WvWvW queues have been horrid on Jade Quarry (my home server atm)
I notice that free server transfer are still available but was wondering when they do end.
Currently, server populations are kind of fluxing and want to see when I should possibly make a move.
I used the search function btw and looked for other resources and came up short.
I saw that the plan was to have the free transfer up for a week after launch.

Well, I imagine a portion of the GW 2 playerbase has seen the benchmark results from Tom’s Hardware and such.
Any plans to further optimize for AMD users?
Is anyone else experiencing lower performance than usual after updating to the latest application profile from ATI that was released in the beginning of September?
