This is the sole reason I do dungeons. They are the most epic content I ever played in any game to date. Especially if I expect guests, and see the timer’s up, I boot up the game, just so they can enter my apartment while a huge battle between dozens of players and
Jormag/Tequatl/Shatterer is on the monitor. Even people who aren’t into video games at all acknowledge the awesomeness of these events.

Really? I thought WoW’s dungeons were much better, and much more challenging, especially the 20-40 man ones. And as for the dragons, they’re so easy, you can almost afk them. The outdoor bosses in WoW were incredible and incredibly complex to take down. I’m not trying to sell WoW subscipts or anything, but GW2 is like WoW Lite to me…I enjoy it, but it’s not nearly as challenging on almost all fronts, especially PVP.

I agree with the terrible Tab targeting priority. As a Ranger, it really gets bad, as I can hit things way off screen, thus aggroing stuff when I don’t intend to. I think losing the mouse might be a hardware issue, much like FFXIV had and they fixed. I’ve suffered this TAB problem in other games and it always ticks me off. I’ve been playing with the problem for so long and through other games, I rarely aggro what I don’t want to, but when it does happen, especially in a dungeon, it’s almost embarrassing.

I’d agree with your post if Legendaries were worth getting, but they’re not. They’re essentially a skin to show off. Big deal. I would however love to see more unique items in the game, and items that are racially unique, and class unique, like the Paladin & Warlock mounts in WoW. I loved getting those mounts! What I’d love to see is a quest-line built for either race or class that leads to armor/weapons that have customizable looks and effects, thus making them somewhat unique based on player choice. I’d much prefer—as many here seem to as well—a long difficult quest line, than a long expensive grind.

All I know is the hunter pets in WoW were far superior. Pets in this game are also buggy. Once my pet goes down, he stays uninvolved, even when he’s regened more than half his hp back. The aggro issue when they’re following is annoying. Just make them aggroless unless you sick them on something or they’re protecting you…it’s an easy fix. Overall, my pets are less companions than they are tools. And who wants to adveture with a tool?

I gave up for 2 reasons: My toon is Norn and the 2 minute timer blows.

My biggest disappointment is that they let yet another huge bug slip through on their event. Little by little they’re losing my support. I’ve played about 10 MMOs and I’ve never seen bugs this bad and widespread. You screw a large percwentage of the population out of the final reward from an event, it’s a huge letdown. Do better, Anet.

Just got screwed by Tixx. Had plenty of inventory space and got absolutely nothing. Couldn’t open the chest. Please mail me my stuff Anet or fix the lil bugger soon.

The game’s down for hours and Anet uses Twitter to relay info? Terrible. Find a better way to notify us, please.

So I splurged for one of these chests, figuring I’d get at least one cool weapon skin or mini. I got a skin for my underwater breather. So bummed that I won’t buy another.

Thanks guys! You helped tons. I still think the game should be better at walking you through crafting and the MF, at least by say making you craft something for a quest, or a quest that requires one of these gifts as its goal. Thanks again.

I don’t want a recipe, but just a simple guide to tell me how to even begin to craft a legendary weapon. I’ve read so much (and watched a ton of Youtube) trying to find any answers, but it’s like everyone knows something I don’t. Where do you begin? If the game offered any guidance at all on using the MF or starting the legendary, that would be nice, but it’s utterly lacking. Why not have a quest that walks you through building a simple item in the forge? I’ve had forge stones gathering dust in my bank, not knowing how to properly use them, afraid I might waste them. The game really does lack a decent guide on crafting for beginner’s. Not all of us played GW1 or know the place where all this important info comes from. Help, please.
