I tried, still not happening for me. The checkpoint puts me all the way back to the starting area.
That’s good.
What’s the point of making a funny video about something, if the devs come around, remove the frustration and suddenly nobody understands the video anymore
Then again maybe the patch just hasn’t gone up yet. What with timezones I am never sure when what happens.
It is, by the way, a great video. Helped me laugh at a frustrating situation! Got me through it. Thanks.
Beyond what’s already been said . . .
Make sure your armor is level appropriate. In any given town, the armorsmith vendor will be selling armor that’s appropriate for your level, and the next level armor (which goes in increments of 5). Even if you craft your armor or buy it on the trading post, that’s a good place to at least check to see if your armor levels are up to par.
Make use of the upgrade slots in your armor. You can buy upgrades in the trading post, or salvage them off of armor drops that you don’t otherwise want to or can use.
Make sure your weapons are up to par as well (weaponsmith vendors in towns work the same as armorsmith vendors, i.e. they scale with your level).
And finally, make sure your jewelery slots are being used, and remember that jewelry has upgrade slots too!
Is this acknowledged as a known bug? Just ran into it. Forum search turned up nothing, but found this thread via a Google search. Would love to 100% Gendarran Fields, but this prevents it.
I had equal frustration with this quest, as the others who have. I’m not a highly skilled gamer with great agility skills, although I do appreciate non-combat challenges. This one was really tough, which is why I ended up on this thread. After reading this thread, and knowing that tomorrow I could always get around it if I needed, I decided to try once more with all the knowledge I read here. I did it! Here’s what I learned:
Look at the little flags for wind info. The big one(s) don’t tell you anything. My many failures were because I was watching a big flag.
The intervals do give you enough time, just run on the top of the “bridge,” don’t bother with the ledges that seem to protect you but are harder to stay on. I used a speed boost, but I think it can be done without one if you’re more skilled than I am. Because I used a speed boost, when I was at the center point, I waited for my speed boost skill to recharge, rather than trying to rush and do the whole thing on one speed boost (which for me, only lasts 10 seconds).
Hope that helps for people not wanting to use the upcoming nerf.
