This is classic… giving props to one another for running open field 5 man gank squads and ridiculing us for trebbing you. Not a reflection on either NSP or AR, just on the mindset of many of the people posting here. In fact, I’ve learned alot from this matchup over the last two weeks, especially when it comes to facing pockets of good organization. Sadly, my vacation starts today and I wont be back till the matchup is over. Good luck to AR and NSP, and give Kaineing hell if you happen to see ’em!

Hopefully the pattern holds. Fighting different servers keeps things fresh for all sides involved. Looks like Kaineng might move up as well, which is really really needed.

Fingers crossed on our end. I think we’re finally ready to climb out of T8. Looking forward to new matchups when they happen! G’luck to all 3 T6 servers this week – sounds like you guys are having alot of fun!

Unfortunately, if all 3 T7 servers are evenly matched… that means all 3 are equally weak. Dont expect much of a fight if you do move up this week. Not knocking the T7 servers, but Kaineng has them way outclassed in terms of WvW pop.

Its why I love this match up so much and and am glad we are paired up again.

I’m really excited for the rest of this week but am worried about next round. No offence to Kaineng, but when they come up they’ll likely throw off the balance of T7 substantially.

Hopefully Kaineng wont have to spend any longer than a week in T7 and T7 and T8 will finally be both balanced and well placed WvW participation wise.

I have been ganked more this week that in any previous. Its clear both AR and NSP take pride in their small group and 1v1 PVP. I generally avoid combat in the JP unless attacked, but I can certainly understand why AR would want to protect the EB JP… they never know when they’ll be locked out of their keep. All in all, been some really fun and challenging fights this week. Looking forward to more fun as AR and NSP folks come back from their holiday and from doing the holiday events in game, and the DR folks go back to work.

DR is really looking forward to this matchup, be it this week or next. For those of us who really weren’t paying attention to T7 prior to this past week, its the matchup we hoped we’d have when we moved to T7. I really hope our week “off” hasn’t made our WvWers overly confident. I think most of us know that we’ll be facing large pop and good organization for the first time. Both Kaineng and Fergusons Crossing challenged us in T8 and we were only able to overwhelm them with numbers.

Personally, I think we’ll take a bit of a beating the first week in T6 and hopefully we can learn and improve from the experience and come back to challenge later on. GL and HF to all!

It doesn’t help that the 1st week versus DR you have the Holiday event…That will hurt most Server’s numbers. Kinda hope something happens to let you guys have another shot at DR just so they have a chance to see what you’re capable of.

…because DR is totally not affected by the holiday event. We faced the same servers over and over for weeks in the T8 basement. This week when we FINALLY break out, people were so excited to be moving up facing stiffer competition. Many of us expected to get stomped in our new bracket. Instead, we face a wall of excuses… “We’re all on vacation”, “We dont have the coverage”, “Its the event stupid”, “You guys suck, you just have a thousandy times our numbers”. I get the numbers game. I get that these once proud servers have faced a mass exodus.

If you believe that the only reason you are losing is because we outnumber you, I have some VERY BAD NEWS FOR YOU. Kaineng and Fergusons Crossing faced the same odds, and came off quite well in comparison. They fought back, They held, captured and recaptured their keeps in EB. They held their BL, We could zerg their BL, turn it green and they would turn right around and retake it.

As a credit to Kaineng and FC, I beleive DR is being underestimated by recent posters in this thread. Yes we had the numbers, but we had to fight tooth and nail to push those guys down far enough we could move up. It was not a steamroll like this week has been so far. We’re itching for a fight and I sincerely hope we get it next week.

I am not looking forward to another week of this matchup if thats what it comes to. Even if they manage to miraculously put up a bit more of a fight. SR/HoD/ET seems like a great even matchup in Teir 8. I wish u guys luck and good times.

Must be so proud.

Kaineng and Fergusons Crossing are not true T8 servers. Expect HoD and Sorrows Furnace to fill those spots soon, and Kaine, Ferg to move up.

I would like to confess that I am one of the people who can commonly be found manning towers. On top of that, I usually run from 1v1 fights when I am alone (most of the time). Why? I am not that great at PvP, thats why I do WvW instead of sPvP. Instead, I run supplies, upgrade towers and camps, and put down and man siege.

Most of the people I see manning keeps, towers and SM siege arent there waiting for a random person or group to happen by. We are listening and observing for things that need doing and doing it. While it may not sound fun to people who prefer to follow the zerg or patrol the wilds for stragglers, I have to admit I get a kick out of trebbing the OL outer walls from SM and killing the trebs they put up to take mine down (the Fergs were better at that IMO). I occasionally follow the zerg on a lowbie for exp, or when more people are needed to take something. I prefer to work on the objective aspects of WvW and trying to strengthen our hand so we dont lose everything the infamous mindless DR zergs take and leave. You do your thing, I’ll do mine, thanks.
