Hello. I am sorry cos I know there is like million of threads about people who ask about profession. Well I just came back to game and I’d like to know a little about which profession would be great for me. And more arguments and info is always great
So first of all I want it to be fun. Of course no one can know what I think is fun. But idea what you prefer will help me.
Then there is couple things you can tell to me. I want my profession to do burst damage. I love to see damage just going and going.
I also like agile and mobile gameplay. So that would be nice.
One important thing is also survibility. I don’t want to be a glass cannon who makes damage but can’t stand at all..
Thanks for all answers
Well I bought game at release. But I just came back to game couple days ago. Decided to give it a new chance cos my friend bought it as well.
So where is problem? I see way too often that my pet just won’t attack my target. It just roams around and doesn’t attack. Are pets really this broken in the game? Game has bees awesome and everything but I just start loose my nerves with pets (with both necro and ranger) who just sits there and won’t attack
Hello fellow players. Like many others, I bought GW2 right in release. And enjoyed bout it for long time. Then my little brother invited me back WoW (which I have played since release as well) and kinda soon I left GW2 and went raid with WoW. Well now I have played kinda long time WoW and got bored bout end game idea. Which is totally just grinding for gear.
Right now I am installing GW2 and like to know what kinda end game it does have? I never leveled enough to get there. But is is all just same grinding gear in dungeons? And how is social part of game. Because in WoW only social aspect is playing in good guild. But doing random dungeons is just like playing with NPC. No one even says hi.
Also is there lot of social guilds?
I hope you can tell me what I want to. And feel free to ask if there is something to ask

I have one question. When you do a rapid attack (100b, unload etc) and there will be numbers on screen which come very fast i.e 13,15,35,60 does this mean that later attacka does more damage or is the last number total damage what this rapid attack has done?
So what might be problem. I have fps bit under 20 and in cities it is about 11. My pc is i3 2.93ghz, 6gb ram, nvidia gtx560. I mean that games usually run on high and fine (skyrim, assassins creed) but somewhy this game lags like hell…
Ok. So i want to be a class that is fun. My fun means mobile, not spam two buttons class. I think thieves are this. I have couple things I’d like to know though. How is thieves survibility? I mean both taking damage and avoiding things. I know that main thing is not to take hits but if u do mistake, will it kill u?
So questions actually are:
1. Are thiefs mobile and class that requires brains to chooce what to skill use and not just spam couple buttons?
2. Does thief survive? Also soloing tought mobs?
3. Can thief be played as supporter type?
Hello. I have now lv 13 warrior and I have loved him so far. Anyway I want to know couple of things before I level him too much
1. Can warrior be effective support class
2. What race suits best to be a warrior
3. How high skill cap warrior has?
4. Warrior or Guardian (with some arguments like pros and coins)
5. Are warriors wanted in groups or do people hate them
With these questios i beleive I am reasy to start my first travel to 80
It is just kinda truth that swapping is required to maxed out you effectiveness. Idea is to have two different ways to fight and melee/ranged combination is kinda usual. Also elementalist requires to swap between elements to survive.
Try learn it. It doesnt take much effort and u will se that u will love it. I.E you start to from range with thief. Damage enemy and soon dive in with melee weapons and rip enemy as much as u can. If u lose too much health, swap back to ranged and kite enemy.
This is only example how swappinh offers different ways to fight in game. It is required if u want to be good and negative some “oh-kitten” situations
Hello dear masters of dark arts. I have loved my asura necro so far. I do have some questions
1. Can necro be effective support/buffer/healer?
2. Does necro have any cool skills/mechanics like i.e thief has shadowstep and stealth
3. Does necro has good utility skills?
4. Is there any good looking evilish armor for asura necro?
I do appreciate your answers

Thanks for helps. I have found tips very useful. I tried ranger cos of very strong bond with nature and well it was fun but still not going to be my main.
Right now I am testing engineer and elementalist. I already had one ele at level 12 but havent tried engineer yet. Going to give it a try.
Ok. So meaning of this post is to help me to choose my class what to play. I have tried severals already and well some have been nice, some not. I just like to have thoughts about different classes that might suit me.
Ok so my MMO history has mostly been with World of Warcraft. I have played it since Vanilla and had couple interesting classes under play. Mostly I did like my shaman and druid. I liked healing and supporting in that game but if needed I was able to give nice damage as well with different spec ofc. I also did have warlock which I did enjoy cos of high damage and that “dark” feeling.
Well in GW2 I have already tried some classes. I started out with a ranger. It was kinda fun shoot with bow and I did love idea that I could do melee as well. And well pet is always a pet and i like them. I don’t know so much about skills of this class cos I haven’t played it so much.
Well elementalist was my second character. I did love the idea of controlling magic and making huge damage while able to support as well. Elementalist has so many skills that it wont be a problem to find own playstyle. Elementalist is though kinda made of glass and takes very much damage. I do prefer more class that can really survive.
I had a thief as well. I did love the idea of hiding, striking from the shadows and then vanish again. It just did turn out that thief didn’t do very well against multiple enemies. Well with shortbow it worked but I didn’t like playstyle of it. I did prefer different combinations of dagger and pistol.
Cos I did have warlock in WoW, I decided to try out necromancer as well. Well it felt kinda.. weird to play. I actually didn’t find it fun at all.. skills were kinda boring. I know that necros have very good survivability and good damage but still it was boring to me.
Well so what I actually want from my class. First I am mainly focused on PvE but will do PvP as well. So it is important that class can do both. I also like being able to do damage and support my allies. Survivability is also good and I like to gather mobs around me and then destroy them. Most important thing is skills. I don’t want class that presses only 1 button and wins. I want lot of fun skills and I want that my utility skills are usefull and fun. I also like fast gameplay. I mean that I don’t want to stand still and just hit with huge sword.
Well I hope that this helped. I will answer questions if asked and would be nice to have some info bout class you going to suggest for me. So no please not just “go ranger” posts for me.
I do appreciate your help
