[RED] is still looking to add a few more friends to our community. Since release of Heart of Thorns, we’ve been running around the jungle, claimed our guild hall, completing guild events, and tackling fractals along with all of the other content we enjoy. Remember that we are interested in building toward raiding, but if your focus is on downing content as quickly as possible just obtain loot, we’re probably not the right community for you.

If you’re interested in a small, friendly community that enjoys helping each other out, feel free to contact me or Tiavanna.9678 in-game for a chat.

All of us in [RED] are eagerly anticipating the expansion (one about 15 minutes now)!

We’re still looking to add members who are interested in being a part of our tight-knit group. We’re looking forward to running the new fractals, exploring the jungle, and helping our members to gear up for raiding (if they aren’t already geared). If you’d like to be an integral part of our guild, then please message me or Tiavanna.9678 in-game. You could also check us out at our website.

Please remember that we care far more about our members than just running through content. That means that we will not be the fastest to down content, but you will have a lot of fun running the content with a group of friends. We aren’t looking for “hired guns” or people who simply want to fade away into the ether whenever they aren’t in a group. When we say that you’ll be integral, we mean it. We want to get to know all of our members and have fun running content with them.

Now is a good time to check out the Crimson Sunspears if you’re interested in being an integral part of a small, community focused guild. Don’t think that just because we’re keeping our total population small that we aren’t serious about what we do in game- we definitely plan on tackling the updated versions of fractals and (eventually) the raids in the expansion. We’re also interested in helping our members get geared and prepared for the higher end content that’s coming to the game.

We currently have our core group back together and want to add some more individuals who fit in with our ethos. If you’re interested in becoming a valued and important member of our community, helping the guild to grow and progress, check us out at our website or contact either me or Tiavanna.9678 in-game to have a chat about the guild. We’re always happy to answer any questions that you might have.

Name: Crimson Sunspears [RED]
Gameplay: Primarily PvE with some WvW and sPvP
Server: Sea of Sorrows
Region: Australia/Oceania
Size: 10 (currently in the process of rebuilding to a maximum of 20 to 25 for the expansion)
Active Time: Oceanic evening prime time
Website: Crimson Sunspears
Contact: tombstoneradio.7145 or Tiavanna.9678

Crimson Sunspears [RED] is a small, mature (average age is late 20’s to early 30’s) guild that prioritizes our friendly community over anything else. This means that we care more about the player than we do about the character that you play. We won’t belittle or lecture you for playing the profession that you prefer to play in the way (with the build) that you prefer to play it. At the end of the day, we’d much rather have a group of people online that we consider to be our friends than a group of individuals that will speed us through content without even bothering to care how our day went.

We’re primarily Australian and based on Sea of Sorrows with a playerbase that maintains a range of interests. Our members are interested in running dungeons, fractals, and WvW. We’re also highly anticipating raids and are working together to prepare our characters for the challenges ahead in Heart of Thorns. If you’re into sPvP, it’s worth asking if anyone would be interested in hopping into a match alongside you (though this tends to be the area that our playerbase visits the least).

What We Plan to Offer
Once HoT launches and the guild begins to progress under the new guild system, we will return to the schedule that we established in the origianl [RED]:

Weekly guild missions (to be run on Saturdays or Sundays)
Fractal runs
Dungeon runs
World events
Achievement runs
Gearing assistance
Raids (once everyone is geared and prepared, we will raid on Saturdays or Sundays)

Who We Are
Crimson Sunspears [RED] is a small, mature (average age is late 20’s to early 30’s) guild that prioritizes our friendly community over anything else.

What We Avoid
Generally speaking, we’d hope that you have the same values as our guildies (caring more for the individual than anything else). As a result, if you only care about guild perks, you should look elsewhere. Currently, we are in the process of rebuilding our roster from our previous community Crimson Mind [RED]. We also prefer to run dungeons the right way (no exploiting and minimal shortcuts). Since we enjoy our time with our members, why would we try to expedite content that allows us to hang out with our fellow members? If you care more about your gold to effort ratio, we’re definitely not the right place for you. We play the game because it’s fun and because we like a challenge. If that means we don’t always earn maximum rewards, then so be it.

Our Goals
Again, we are in the process of rebuilding the guild. We decided that Heart of Thorns was the perfect opportunity to rebrand the guild and to start fresh. As a result, the guild is brand new (though the culture has been around since the beginning of Guild Wars 2). We are looking forward to incorporating new friends into our community, working together to build a guild hall, complete guild missions, run through fractals and dungeons, and tackle raiding. Our plan is to run our guild missions (after HoT launch) and raids on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

We are a small guild (currently, our core group that has migrated from the old guild totals 10 players) that is looking to expand. However, we aren’t looking to grow into a large or mega guild. In fact, we will not have the numbers to be considered a medium-sized guild. We have no intention of growing the guild any larger than 20 (with a maximum of 25) or so active members. We simply enjoy knowing our guildies on a personal level, asking how their day went, and if there’s anything we can do to help out.

Representation
Due to the changes coming in HoT, we will not require 100% representation, though we do believe that it is beneficial in working toward our common goals. We would definitely ask that if you’re running an activity with a guild group that you represent [RED].

Contact
If you’re interested in joining the Crimson Sunspears or would like to inquire further, please head to our website (Crimson Sunspears) and have a read of our guild charter.

If you’d like to read our old forum post (from Crimson Mind), please go here.

Finally, if you’d like to chat with a member of our leadership about the guild, feel free to contact me or my wife Tiavanna.9678.

It is Fractal Tuesday again! We’ll run two or three groups (one low level and two mid-level) through the FotM for some fun adventures with guildies.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):
Guild Missions and Patch Night Events – We’ll start our night a bit earlier than normal as guildies will group up and run through the Bazaar and the Crown Pavillion together. Then, at the normal time, we’ll group up and work our way through our missions (Trek, Bounty, Puzzle, Challenge, and Rush). After, we expect guildies will want to run through the patch content again.

Now is a good time to join the guild and get involved in our activities. You’ll have a great opportunity to group up and have some fun during the Bazaar and Pavilion events. We’re always looking forward to meeting new members who enjoy a laid back and friendly atmosphere. All you have to do is message a member of the leadership in-game and visit our website.

[RED] has been busy as of late, continuing with our frequent dungeon, fractal, and WvWvW runs. We’re also partly through our Guild Raffle, through which members who use our website will have the chance to win a set of weapons that they can either keep for the skins or sell on the Trading Post.

While we maintain a regular schedule, we do so to help our members plan their playtime so that it can be as productive as they’d like it to be. We never expect members to log in for every event. After all, we’re a group of adults who have jobs and families- those are the top priorities.

Our schedule for the next couple of days looks like this:

Today (Sunday)
Guild Missions – Happy Mother’s Day! Considering people’s desire to be with family today, we may decide to postpone our regular Sunday run until Wednesday. If we do postpone, we’ll end up organizing a world boss run and some fractal fun.

Tomorrow (Monday)
Open Dungeon and Fractal Night – Our guildies have been enjoying fractals a lot as of late, so there’s a chance that we run a fractal group if people ask. Like usual, if someone has a dungeon that they’d like to run (we ran Arah last week), we’ll organize a group and have some fun.

If you’re interested in the guild, message a member of our leadership and visit our website. We welcome people of all levels and from all realms and are proud of our friendly and welcoming nature.

Tonight is Fractal Tuesday! Like usual, we’ll be running at least two fractal groups (probably in the level 10-19 range), helping members familiarize themselves with FotM and obtain the agony resist to jump in and do higher level runs.

Tomorrow (Wednesday)
Guild Missions – We had great turnout for our Sunday missions run, so we’ll spend some time tomorrow night capturing a Guild Bounty and enjoying the company of the guild while completing a Guild Trek. All other missions were completed on Sunday, with everyone having a blast running around as ghost wolves, killing some ogres, and exploring Superman’s Fortress of Solitude.

[RED] is an extremely active guild that continues to focus on maintaining smaller numbers in order to play with friendly and social friends. While we run a lot of group events, we don’t expect our members to always attend. We just want to give people the opportunity to enjoy themselves in the game.

If you’re interested in the guild, message a member of our leadership and register on our website. Joining on a night that we’re doing some type of group event is the perfect introduction to the guild. Don’t miss out.

Tomorrow, [RED] kicks off our guild raffle. Any time that a member signs up for one of our guild events (as either attending, maybe attending, or unavailable), their name will be entered for the chance to win a series of weapons (primarily for their skins or to sell on the TP).

Yesterday, we ran with three fractal groups for Fractal Tuesday. We had members of all difficulty levels participating. Tonight, we finished off our guild missions for the week.

Tomorrow (Thursday)
WvWvW Night – The guild will run a group (or groups) into EotM or into the actual battle depending on what the groups want to do.

If you’re interested in a friendly and active guild where you can feel safe and secure in playing the game the right way and without criticism, please message a member of the leadership in-game and register on our website.

[RED] is still looking for players who would like to be part of our family. We’re about to kick off our next guild contest. The contest will last for the entire month of May and will award the winner a set of really great rewards. Members can obtain the details from our website once the calendar ticks over to May.

On another note, the guild is still running teams in sPvP. We’ve been rather successful as of late, which is leading to some increased interest within the guild. So, we already run dungeons, fractals, world events, and wvwvw on a very regular basis. If you’re interested in the sPvP, we’re proud to say that we’re now a fun and safe environment to explore that area as well.

Our schedule for the next couple of days looks like this:

Today (Sunday)
Guild Missions – We’ll be running our weekly guild puzzle and possibly a guild challenge.

Monday
Open Dungeon and Fractal Night – If you want to run a dungeon or fractal, just ask in guild chat and we’ll try to organize a run for you.

As always, if you’re interested in the guild, don’t hesitate to contact a member of the leadership and visit our website.

[RED] is still welcoming new members to our family. It doesn’t matter if you’re old or new to the game (whether you have 1 AP, 10,000 AP, or don’t even know what “AP” means), we’re happy to have like-minded individuals in the family.

Tonight, the guild is holding its weekly Fractal Tuesday. Right now, we have two full fractal groups running with a third waiting for another couple of members to log in.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):
Guild Missions – Since we postponed our Sunday run due to the holiday, we’ll be attempting all of the missions (time permitting). We’ll probably kick off with our Trek as we organize, then move onto the Bounty, Puzzle, Challenge, and Rush. Missions are a great way to get to know the guild, so if you’re interested in getting a taste of what we’re like, make sure you message a member of the leadership as soon as possible so you can join in on the fun.

[RED] is still looking for individuals who would like to be part of our relaxed and close-knit family. We are getting very close to our member cap right now, but we are always welcoming individuals who are a good fit and who would like to contribute to our friendly culture.

Our schedule for the next couple of days is as follows:

Today (Monday):
Open Dungeon Night – We have several members who are working toward the Dungeon Master title. No dungeon is off limits, so all a member has to do is ask and we’ll try to field a group.

Tuesday:
Fractal Tuesday – The guild has been enjoying fractals a lot as of late. Last week, we were able to field 3 full fractal groups. Hopefully, we’ll be able to do the same this week.

Finally, we’re approaching the time for our next guild contest. In the past, we’ve run screenshot contests and raffles to raise funds for the guild to maintain buffs for members. We’ll look at doing the same while providing some really nice prizes for those members who participate. We’ll post more details as we iron things out.

As always, if you’re interested in the guild, don’t hesitate to contact a member of the leadership in-game and register at our website

[RED] has had an eventful week. We’ve begun fielding an sPvP arena team (though this still isn’t our preferred area of play) and have seen some success with that team. We’ve also completed all of our Guild Missions for the week. However, due to the Easter holiday, we’ll hold off on running our normal Sunday afternoon missions. We’ve also had a lot of members running around WvWvW, gaining ranks and filling out skills to better enable our small group roaming abilities. Finally, we’ve worked through dungeons or fractals every night this week. It’s safe to say that everyone is having a good time.

Today (Saturday):
Open WvWvW/Open Dungeon runs
sPvP – If a member is ask if anyone wants to join them in a match.

Sunday:
Guild Missions are rescheduled for Wednesday
Open Dungeon and Fractals – If a member wants to run a particular dungeon (or through some fractals), the guild is happy to help.

The guild has been quite busy lately. We’ve also seen a lot of growth with members who fit in with our friendly and close-knit culture. We’re still welcoming more members into our family, though, so if you’re interested, please contact a member of the leadership in-game and register at our website.

Last night was another fun night with [RED]! About 20 members got together and had a blast completing a Guild Trek, Bounty, and Rush. We’ll be tackling our Guild Puzzle and Challenge on Sunday.

The guild also fought in our first sPvP team arena last night. While we aren’t the best sPvPers, we still had fun and came out with a victory. This may be an area that we expand on if members continue showing interest.

Finally, tonight is our WvWvW night. So far, we’lre going to have two groups roaming around the maps, helping our server (even though we’re already in the position to win).

Tomorrow (Friday):
No events scheduled. Seriously, it’s Friday- go out and have some fun with friends and family.
Otherwise, Friday becomes and Open Dungeon night- Run through any dungeons (or fractals) that you’d like to complete.

Tonight, we have our Guild Missions, but the talk during those missions will undoubtedly be about the Feature Pack.

Tomorrow (Thursday):
WvWvW Night – Right now, we have a group of approximately 10 guildies who will run havoc around EB or a BL map.

Today (Tuesday):

This week has been a great week for [RED]. The guild completed all Guild Missions (Puzzle, Trek, Bounty, Challenge, and Rush). It was the first week that we scored the polar bear guild rush- everyone had a blast turning into snowballs and running around as cuddly bears. We’ve also been making our way around WvW on a more regular basis, though this week’s match up hasn’t been the most friendly. We do have some members who have completed the Season 2 meta achievement, so we’re obviously spending a good amount of time trying to help out.

On top of that, we’ve been helping members make their way up through the fractal ranks. In fact, several members ran their first fractals this week.

[RED] is more than happy to have new and veteran players in our ranks. If you’re interested in the guild, head over to our website or contact a member of the leadership in-game.

Who We Are
Crimson Mind [RED] is a small, mature (average age is late 20’s to early 30’s), tight-knit guild that prioritizes our friendly community over anything else.

We’re based on Sea of Sorrows with a playerbase that maintains a range of interests. You’ll catch us running dungeons, fractals, and WvW on a regular basis. Whenever there’s a new living world update, you can find groups of guildies willing to run through that update with you. If you’re into sPvP, it’s worth asking if anyone would be interested in hopping into a match alongside you (though this tends to be the area that our playerbase visits the least).

What We Avoid
Generally speaking, we’d hope that you have the same values as our guildies (caring more for the individual than anything else). As a result, if you only care about guild perks, you should look elsewhere.

Our Goals
We are a fully upgraded guild, so we do try to maintain as many perks as possible. We also run guild missions at least one night a week (Wednesdays at 8:30 PM AEST or so and, if numbers permit, Sunday afternoons). We are a small guild that is looking to expand. However, we aren’t looking to grow into a large or mega guild. In fact, we may never have the numbers to be considered a medium-sized guild. We’re happy with our 25 active members, but think that it’d be worth expanding that to 40 to 50 active members.

Representation
Due to our small community, we do require 100% representation. Since we care about our members, we want to see our members and hang out with them. If you aren’t representing, you make that impossible. In reality, not representing completely defeats the purpose of being in [RED] and generally demonstrates that your priorities aren’t in line with ours.

Who We Are
We understand that real life comes first, and value our close-knit culture above all else. We are driven to experience and participate in all of the content that the game has to offer. However, we’re only interested in doing this with a group of friends who we look forward to seeing when we log into the game, rather than blowing through content with a group of hired guns who are together out of convenience. This means that we are a small guild and intend on remaining so.

In general, we don’t care about what character you are playing, your level, or your gear- we recruit the person behind the keyboard. We recognize that friendly gamers and the online communities that we participate in are the reasons that we log into games. No amount of gear can make up for people that no one can stand and no one can stand logging into a community where you consistently see negative comments or self-aggrandizing chat. We’ve played in enough games to know that, in the end, characters will just get left behind. What you keep are the good memories from the community that you join. We strive to develop the type of community that creates those fond memories.

What we expect is someone mature and sociable enough to contribute to a guild and patient enough to go through the steps of learning the game. We enjoy a challenge. We don’t mind wiping or getting stuck at a point in a dungeon that requires work on our part to get around. We play because we enjoy gaming. We also believe that gaming is much more fun with people you know well and can trust.

What We Are Not
We’re a lot of things, but we are not:

  • An immature group of players who talk poorly about others and talk about ourselves as if we were God’s gift to gaming.
  • Ever going to be the largest guild. In fact, we may be one of the smaller guilds.
  • Dependent on others. Our players pride themselves on being self-sufficient. However, that isn’t to say that members won’t help out (we will- we’re more than happy to help). It just means that we don’t pester or want to be pestered.
  • Always online. Seriously, our members have jobs and personal lives. We can’t always be online. Are we online when we can be? Definitely. However, as stated above, we understand and expect that real life comes first.

Our Goals
We hope to have an active playerbase of approximately 50 members. We don’t want more than 50 members in the guild because it becomes extremely difficult to get to know everyone when you have too many people online. Currently, we have 20 to 25 active members. Yes, that is small, but when you join, you can rest assured that those individuals are an extremely friendly and helpful group.

We also hope that all of our members enjoy the company of each other. If there is a problem between guildies, we would like to sort it out so everyone is happy in the guild.

We want to play through all of the PvE content provided by ANet.

We would like to be at least somewhat active in WvW. However, current members are more driven toward PvE. As we invite individuals who are interested in WvW, we expect that members will begin showing interest in this area of PvP.

If there is interest, we may field sPvP teams.

We want to be able to organize guildies to regularly complete Orr world events, jump puzzles, and various other open world activities.

Finally, we would like to be able to run regular guild events. We will use our website’s calendar to schedule those events.

Our Expectations
We expect our members to play the game in a way that pleases each individual member. However:

  • We expect members to be mature and respectful. We will not tolerate abuse of other players (whether they be in our guild or not).
  • We do not tolerate exploits of any kind. We enjoy content when it is difficult. We don’t enjoy content when it is trivialized.
  • We expect members to actively represent the guild. We understand that GW2 allows you to be in multiple guilds. However, if you decide to represent another guild, then you’ve missed the point of our guild.

You’re joining our guild because you want to be an active member of our community. You are not joining our guild solely for the perks that we’ve unlocked. If you choose to represent another guild, it shows us that you’re more interested in the perks that you can get elsewhere than the community that you are helping to develop with us. The community comes first in our guild- the perks are just bonuses along the way.

Crimson Mind now has several level 80 characters. We’re excited about the prospects of running around Orr, working on dungeons and exploring the variety of content that Guild Wars 2 offers (even some PvP if we have people that are curious).

We’re still a small guild and plan on remaining small (30 to 40 active players; 10 to 15 online at any given time). We care much more about the community being tight and friendly than we do about having tons of people around.
