Thank you MrKip I will take a look at what you mentioned!

To be a bit more exact: this is indeed a PvE build and I looked in the stickies but couldn’t find a straightforward answer. I have knight’s armor and am looking for a good build + good runes in order to be the support/tank guardian I once was haha!

Thank you everyone,

Hi everyone,

First time using the forums here! I hope I am posting in the right subforum. I have a slight problem, due to a couple of issues I quit GW2 since last december. I was a Lyssa guardian and I knew how to play it pretty well. Yesterday I logged back in and after a while I realized my build wasn’t working as it should have and a few minutes later I realized my Lyssa runes lost all their value :P. No flaming, just a statement. I was a beefy, tankish and support guard with these runes. I’m looking for a build like that that still exists today. I very much appreciate any feedback.

This is the link to the original Lyssa build which, as a noob, I copied blindly: http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/73978-guardian-of-lyssa-build-unkillable-self-healer-w-great-dps/

Thank you very much in advance,

Thank you all for your fast response.

First off, Ebs, you’re right that everyone has a different playstyle and that I should even them out a bit in order to get a bit of all the stats. But I was wondering if there was a “set bonus” when you wear all of one set?

Second, Bluestone, you’re right that I could get about the same gear a lot cheaper. I just wanted to make sure I didn’t get a response of “Well if you put 100 gold in on the Black Lion’s Trading Post you’re going to be fine”. I would like the gear to be multifunctional: same gear for both dungeons and WvWvW. Or do you say I should buy cheap gear to do dungeons, grind my gear and then do WvWvW? Because as far as I know, and my knowledge is very restricted, in order to even get in a group you need to be “full exotic”.

Third off, bri, I also tried to upgrade my gear to the Karma gear sold in the last level 80 area. But I don’t seem to have a high damage output… There goes my Karma haha. So now I want to upgrade it and I had not seen a post like this so I decided to ask this terrific and fast-responding community.

Thank you all for your constructive criticism.

For as far as Khezekiah Bellamy goes, I obviously meant sword. I excused myself for possible mistakes, and thank you for pointing it out. Sadly I can’t point to that statement as “being constructive”.

Nevertheless I thank for the comments already made and hopefully I get more input from others.

Hi all,

I hit level 80 a while ago and shortly after I hit level 400 leatherworking. I was short on money so I decided to head onto World Completion. Now, after selling stuff on the Black Lion’s Trading Company, I finally hit around 20 gold so a 15 gold investment in my gear shouldn’t be a bad decision. Now I was wondering about the following: I see two types of armor in the crafting window interesting for Rangers. Valkyrie’s and Berserker’s. First off, I use Longbow and Greatsword/Torch. This question in no way evolves around my weapon choice (as there has been enough debate about it already). Second of all, I see that Berserker’s gear is based on power, precision and crit but that it clearly lacks vitality. On the other side, Valkyrie also misses some elements to increase my dps. Now I am wondering if I should combine these two gearsets by taking 3 pieces of each set.

This would be my gear to do dungeons and WvWvW. So I am looking for a nice way between sick dps and high vitality. I want to excuse myself for my potential ignorance or a potential mistake in anything I wrote. I am new to the Guild Wars 2 game, so I would appreciate constructive criticism.

Thank you very much in advance for your input.
