A player on my team DCed towards the end of the match. Our team ended up still winning cause he DCed in the last minute so it didn’t really effect the game. However after we won i lost a pip on my tier instead of gaining one. Does my teammate disconnect effect my progress or are there other factors that would make that happen?
I’m going to first say guild halls do take a lot of resources and time. That is what being part of a guild is. Time and dedication to grow something from nothing while coming closer as a community with a common cause.
My little guild of three dedicated players don’t seem to have to much trouble with the guild hall system. We capture our guild hall after a few tries and we have been managing our atherium production pretty tightly, to the point where we have only wasted about 60 minutes. We use the time while production is happening to farm the needed supplies while looking head at the time gated resources. Prior to HOT we are hoarders like a lot of people in MMOs so are stockpile each while dewindling have served their purpose.
As for favor we obtained the extra mission slots first to give us a higher chance to obtain the “easier” missions such as treks (the hard one we completed with all three players), races (we can do the easy ones on our own while using the reset to perform the hard ones with other groups), WvW has been pretty easy so far, and PvP is the only one that i have a complaint about (i wish the timer didn’t count down in the lobby while waiting for matches). Puzzles are out of our reach due to the six person requirement, but you can’t get everything you want. Currently my guild is at level 18 and going to be 19 in three days due to the atherium production (we didn’t take mining increase speed cause it didn’t fit into our math as of yet). Yes we did start a few levels higher because we already had upgrades before HOT. At some point will we, as a small guild, feel the crunch from the needed resources; of course we will but we hope to minimize it by preparing for future upgrades now.
tldr: Anedotal story from a small guild saying it isn’t so bad with some planning and a few dedicated people.
You know, that was a nice read.. until the last sentence. I see the rudeness and attitude. Not everyone may be good at math.. or be super elite, as nicely geared etc. Don’t agree, so you insult it as ‘anecdotal’.. I think that’s what you meant, because Anedotal isn’t a word.
The event to clear the hall scales UP from 9 people from where it is, not DOWN from where it is.
Sounds like so many people aren’t doing the Exalted one, why is that? Are the others easier?
I am sorry it came off rude nor was it my intent. The reason i said it was an anecdote (thank you for the correction edit is to follow ) was because i know not everyone’s story is not the same. What i want to say it is possible for even the smallest guild to complete these task but they need to plan it out more due to the limited resource one can gather in a time frame. I don’t see the need to “cater” to smaller guilds because the tasks are not out of reach they will just take more time. As it should be.

Edit: removed the end statement as it was pointed out it could be considered rude.

IMO this idea has a few flawes. It would make weaken the arcane trait line or down right obsolete the attunement reduction benefit of it. It would also make the grand master fresh air trait completely pointless
Alright thanks for the insight. I will try again.
I was playing a dungeon with my guild and i was trying out an aura sharing build using powerful aura. I speced into air, water, and fire. While i was stacking on my guildies i used Magenetic aura and it worked as would you expect, everyone gets it along with the boons that should be attached to it. However, shortly after i switched to fire and gained a fire aura but nobody else seemed to recieve it. I tested this a few times after this with the same results. Is powerful aura only for weapon skills that apply auras or should it be on all procs as well? Or is there ICD on powerful aura, or is it you can’t apply more then one aura at a time. I also could just be screwing this up tho i don’t know how. Sorry if this has been answered i never tried sharing auras before this.
I would just love to see the endless transformation potions in thier own wardrobe.
I would love to see pistols and mantras for eles
I wouldn’t mind warhorns tho
And i know i am in the minority but i really don’t want swords
I don’t think this is a bug so much as it is slightly annoying. Ether Renewal with soothing distruption. The boons for the cantrip apply once you completely channel the spell. I know I might sound a bit greedy but i guess it kind of bothers me maybe because all other cantrips are instant. If Ether Renewal gets interrupted/cancelled it still goes on cooldown for the full duration without the boons. (as of writing this i do now realize you could dodge and cancel the spell and then get the boons and a slightly faster cooldown if the boons applied at the beginning instead of the end). I don’t know any thoughts?
I play a zerker staff ele in PVP and I rather like it. Now am i a meta build? I am certainly not Will i get destroyed by a good D/D ele who is ready for me? Probably but i find it a fun way to play. Heck i don’t even spec into arcana (no i am not a down lava tomb troll build either). My build is just becoming stronger with this patch so i have to say i’m excited. I enjoy the control with the staff and the wide versatility it provides. I find with a staff there is not a set rotation you can use but you really need to know your opponent and what skill will benifit the time it takes you to cast it at that moment.
I would love to see them replace agony infusions. It kind of sucks having to waste that slot just to run fractals. Now this is just my dream, but i hope it leads to some interesting level 500 jewel crafting. Because let’s be honest who would want to craft acended rings and ect. when you could just buy them with a little fractal running or ectos(and logging in for the luarals). I would love to see crafted infusions hopefully to replace boon duration or condition duration.
I know it is probably swords, but i would love to see a pistol ele or one with mantras of some sort. I don’t know a spell slingers sounds neat.
