Wow thanks for the welcome folks
was not expecting to come back in to a debate when i logged in
@MrFayth.3546 sorry didn’t realise there was a proper thread i could of posted in
tho i wasn’t strictly asking for help more a little advice and to express my enjoyment
in the game so far .
seems like there’s a lot of debate on a new patch and maybe gear grinding but hey i was a
endgame raider i enjoyed merking through end game boss’s trying to get that
awesome sword or token
I put another hour in to just running around and exploring the map love the way
I was rewarded with a little chest for 100% area explored
didn’t put to much thinking in choosing a server i just went EU and med pop,
not high to avoid possible log in queues .
advancing further in my quest line ran in to plenty of players and it seemed like a
friendly community asked a few questions in /map chat and was not a troll in sight
and every one seemed very helpful
looking forward to lvling up and trying my hand at some pvp especial world v world v world.

Hey there
After a couple of years playing wow and hating the new grind feast of a game expansion they call mop, I decided to leave it behind and dive in to a new sub free game and so far i am loving it and haven’t looked back.
I wanted to make a nice little where I can share my gaming experience so far and slip in a few questions if any of you vets wouldn’t mind answering.
Every thing seems all new and fresh and i am not running pointless quests talk to the guy to my left for exp and loot or collection quests (shudder)
I started my mesmer and have been thrown in to the huge world with all my other saplings & newborn’s but the world seems very quiet and other players seem very far and few is this just because i am in a starter zone and if so if i follow the main quest how long till i hit a large populated city with players flooding general chat and looking for new players to join their guild?
From what the NPC said the crafting seems very unique and I haven’t seen a system like this so i can learn all crafting profession and max them out but only have two active at any one time but if i deactivate one where I learnt some rare recipes would I lose them?
Do these crafting professions have any perks? Like in wow eg a jewelcrafting can make special gems that surpass normal gem stats but you must have jewelcrafting to benefit from it.
I personally took tailoring and oh no I don’t remember its name now but it let me make a staff and a trident do they seem good to take for my little mesmer
Combat what can I say love it I can run and cast/channel spells that seems so new to me coming from wow where I had to stand still or use instant casts only.
My spells change depending on what weapon i have that was a nice surprise when i changed from 1 handed staff / pistol to a 2 handed staff i can see that making pvp fun when i get around to it balancing weapon spells to meet the situation I am in.
In closing love the game to bits so far wish i got on it sooner and if any one would be so kind to spout out some newb tips and trick’s so i don’t become lost in this eminence world
