The best ranger weapon for PvE is axe/torch: the amount of aoe you put out drops most groups of mobs in under 15s.

I feel like half the time all those best build topics turn into a confusing pandemonium of PvE and PvP builds. Its quite painful to read, especially for new players who can’t readily tell the difference.
