When people type Korean or Chinese characters I don’t see them in the chat box. Rather, I will see the name, then a blank space. (e.g: Rydan Askari: ) However, I can see the words in their chat bubble when they speak in General or Party chat.

I’m currently using Windows XP 32bit.

For your info Mesmer’s down state basic attack causes Confusion. With his clone, that’s double the Confusion he is dealing. Since thief attacks pretty fast. you are getting hit by his Confusions. I am not sure whether condition damage is considered when you are down.

Okay an update here, it happened just now when I got an error from GW 2 and got disconnected.
As usual I was unable to log back in for quite a while but when I successfully logged in, my character screen selection was all green yellow and pink. I could see nothing at all except for the five boxes that is my characters. Regardless, I double clicked one of them and successfully went into game.
I was thinking perhaps it’s the Character Selection Screen that is causing all the wonky stuff that is happening to us.

(Btw, I am still using windowed mode. When I press play I quickly switched to my Google Chrome so that GW 2 is minimized, I think it has a higher chance of getting in that way.)

This is a picture attached, it was worse than this one the previous time. The whole page was green, yellow and pink.

Because of the flickering issue, I’ve thought of changing to Windowed mode. And now that I did, the problem is even worse. Instead of the usual flickering and stuff, when I press the Play button, my computer just went into the Blue Screen of Death for half a second and automatically restarts.

Sometimes, I get a normal error crash when I start the game and I’ve attached the Error Report that they’ve generated.
I know the first line says something serious but I don’t know what is it. Someone enlighten me?

My screen starts to flicker, then it turns black and starts to flicker rapidly. The only thing I can do is to Ctrl + Alt + Delete and force GW2 to shut down. If the music starts before I could successfully shut down GW2 then I will have to reboot my computer.
