Well, after explaining step by step what I believe happened to my 2nd account. Because it is exactly what happened to my other account.
1. account hacked
2. account stripped of everything worth anything
3. account then used for wrongdoing
4. bad guys caught or reported leading to accounts closing

Still same response from same GM that did the investigation and told me the account is closed (which means he/she definitely didnt go over the accounts investigation or any info i provided from the other account i had hacked) and thats that.

So, the hackers get all my stuff, get the real life money for selling all my stuff im assuming.
I lose the real life money i paid to buy the game the many many hours i spent playing on that account.
Full ascended character, lots of saved mats in my personal guild bank.

I just bought gems to buy a few skins at the store to boot.
Seems fair right?

Somewhere someones made a mistake on anets end and i get screwed over by the kittens that stole my account and anet for basically calling me a liar and goldseller and keeping my stolen account closed.

I played Age of Conan (before all the class revamps and nerfs) and my ranger was kitten and pretty devistating with the crossbow.
Was my favorite ranger of any game ive played…no pet too.

You guys forget this is a video game so the crossbow can have a little asuran tweaking to it.
Instead of a quiver for a backpiece the player can have the leather strap that crosses over the soulder and back like the ones that hold shot gun shells or individual bullets but instead will have circular cartriges of 8 crossbow bolts to use on his/her gas powered semi atomatic crossbow.
I would like to see the whip or some type of silenced hunting rifle and an offhand sword.

Hey, are you guys 100% sure key farming isnt a no-no?
Had 2 accounts hacked/stolen from me last week and when i fianally reset passwords and all that the accounts were closed for “assisting in the sale of gold/items for real world money” so i sent in a seperate ticket for each account i lost.
one account that ive had since launch was recovered and rolled bach for me within 36 hours.
The 2nd account i bought only a few months ago that i has 1 lvl 80 and i use the rest of the slots for extra storage.
Anyway I also use 1 character slot to farm black lion keys.
Thats the only difference between the 2 accounts really since ive never farmed keys with the 1st account.
So do you guys think creating then getting key and deleting a character over and over for farming keys sends off a red flag in the system?

Account number two…the gm repeated to me in an email what the account was closed for and thats that.
I dont think the gm working my ticket understood the account was hacked/stolen before any wrongdoing was done.
Same thing happens to two of my accounts one gets rightfully fixed the other im basically accused of lying and being a goldseller.

I did farm keys on the 2nd account quite often. Is that a no-no?

Hackers got into my emails hacked/compromised/stole 2 of my gw2 accounts.
When I was finally able to reset passwords and set up all the extra security for said emails I then did the same for the 2 accounts .
I was able to reset both accounts passwords but when trying to log into them both accounts were terminated for “assisting in selling gold/items for real world money” which told me all my stuff is gone and sold off.
I sent in two seperate tickets for each account and within a day they gave me one account back after the investigation (and all my characters were naked with no items or gold account wide) and hours later they rolled the account back a few days and I had all my stuff…whew.
The second account wasnt returned to me and I was told because the account was used for assisting in selling gold/items for real world money that the account will stay terminated.
What the hell is that all about? Anyone else have this happen to them?
The EXACT same things happened to 2 accounts within hours of each other and I get 2 totally different responses results?

I use sword/warhorn/axe and LB in WvW in large fights I like to circle around to the enemies back line and hammer their casters, but I make sure im constantly moving.
I use GS as a means of moving faster across the map.
LB seems to give necros alot of problems.

Hate to say it but dont get your hopes up guys, nobody at anet plays a ranger so getting it right isnt a top priority.
Making sure its not as strong as any of thier favorite classes seems to be priority.
Eighteen months in and rangers are known game wide to be weak, useless and unwanted in dungeon/fractal groups.
You would think after many people that play the class reported being booted from groups as soon as they joined because they play the class Anet would of focused on fixing/changing the ranger but that wasnt the case.

Olny class to get kicked from dung/frac grps because its so poorly done and thats mainly because of the broken pet/pet mechanics.

Got kicked from 2 low lvl fracs I joined this morning as soon as I joined because I play a ranger, first time ive ever had that happen and its a pretty kittenty feeling.
The frustration and anger this type of crap creates should of been a huge red flag to Anet that this class was in a bad place.
I know im off topic but fine tuning the warrior because its a devs favorite while this class has been ignored has finally made me mad enough to vent my frustrations.

Be prepared to get booted from groups as soon as you join them because your playing a ranger.
Never had that happen until today and it happened twice within a 10 min span.
Roll an easymode faceroll over the keyboard and win warrior, its the devs favorite class.

Dont bring that crap back, twice was one too many times for that lame content.

The only thing that annoys me more is the lack of real warrior players.I mean those that specifically mained wars in wvw and pvp since launch and endured for one year having to be better 10 timees than any other player playing other classes and still be not as effective.

LOL, Ive run a warrior since day 1 and have engineer and ranger alts.
The warrior is or was in no way EVER any more difficult or require any more effort/skill to achieve what I had to go thru to get anywhere near the amount of success with those other classes.
Sorry but our class has always been head and shoulders above most of the others and at the least on par with all of them and saying you struggled to gain the same results at times as one can get with other classes is a L2P issue.

FC rage? tis one pug and his naive nature lol, FC doesn’t do peace treaties or cease fires, we either pull off one enemy to hit another. FC has had these past Alliances made by commanders of one guild with another, and never did they work, in fact I was there when FC allied with DR but in reality it was just a certain guild with another guild, and that blew over quickly because no one else cared and we atked each other in open combat, so please don’t judge the whole server from 1 person and his 8 friends who might not even know how dumb it was to make a post like that, ty stay mature!

I run with Deth, but I can also tell you about how we farmed CoSA and StaR constantly in our BL, in the water camp and in our bay most of the time, I used to be in SF, in the old days when King was around with Seven Mirror, Jugglez, Shield, Priest of Lyssa etc. I won’t leave FC though, I appreciate the invite, but I like good fights, If people like me and others left, you wouldn’t have much to fight :/ tl’dr : I was in King for a brief period of time, they taught me a lot in my fighting, but in Fc i learned organized fighting, I thank Seven and all the others for helping me when I needed training in roaming and dueling.

Thats a stretch, Globs pretty much free loot bags too. Had them on farm status since this matchup started wiping thier groups with half thier numbers.
Without siege support YB players are easily farmed in open field if thier numbers arent over 4 to 1 in thier favor.

All this SF recruiting and talk of superior tactics is funny. From what I have seen there hasn’t been anything superior.

We used our communication to wipe your Zerg in DR multiple times yesterday. Yes we lost EB keep but we kept u out of hills when the inner gate was 25% after you wiped the poor GoMers that were there. Dialed my friend spirit up and that was a good laugh of a wipe.

Also saw 5 lost catapults at nw tower from the EWOK ele commander and some warrior commander. We took out all 5 of yours with one catapult then proceeded to eat your numbers. I personally downed 2 of your commanders at least 3 times in less than an hour.

I don’t care that we are outnumbered every time I log on. Gives me something fun to do.

Farmed thier guild groups for quite a while out there with about a third of thier numbers with our small group teams.
Was some funny kitten seeing them freeze in thier tracks every time we ran into them.

If a ranger can run around with a giant clunky greatsword then why not a rifle. Being in tune with nature doesnt mean not being in tune with modern or current tech that may be available for a ranger to use.

Want a staff and other caster goodies and play with flowers and leaves? Pray they roll out a druid class.

seems to me the whole map coverage pvdoor problem is a giant flaw in this games WvW matchups.
Imagine being on a server thats kinda weak to begin with but has zreo coverage at another servers strongest coverage times.
I bet that would make people not even bother with WvW at all.
Hopefully ESOs faction based mega server WvW pvp wont have this major flaw.

So at 2 am newyork time is when aussies tend to be on? Then 4 to 5ish am newyork time the asian players start to jump in game?
Im from the newyork area and if thats the case then due to work and sleep theres a giant gap of at least 15 hours where i cant help the server when the players from aussie and asia are on.

Yet some people just whine for the next 17-18 hours instead or retaking everything back. RoTFL!
I imagine during the week not many have 17 hours a day of free time to play and take back what was lost while they were sleeping and/or working.
LOL they prob whine from work because they cant be on to play.
Then theres the fact that even though they have 4 or 5 hours of free time after work or whatever they know theres really no reason to bother jumping in WvW to take some of the points lost over the last 15 hours when the werent able to be in game to defend them because it will just be takien back while they sleep or are at work the next day.
My question is …is there ever a time in this matchup where every server is at its strongest at the same time? If that was ever to happen I bet there would be some pretty epic battles.

No way to prevent groups larger than 5.

It IS a literal meaning. We fight World vs. World vs. World. The scoring reflects that. There is no flaw because the point of World vs. World vs. World is for each world to fight the other two worlds. Whatever we get out of it is what we get out of it. Just because you get nothing out of it doesn’t mean other people don’t. You just think it is flawed because it is not what you want it to be.

Nailed it. I for one enjoy the large battles when theres 20 or more on each side fighting over a bridge or small camp. Dont get me wrong, the small fights where its a random 5v5 is fun too but the larger battles are a blast.
I have also won my share of fights while roaming around with a friend or solo 1v2 2v3 but still find the large skirmishes more fun. I play gw2 for fun and I think theres a little server pride that goes with the WvW score.
There are my overtired thoughts brought on by lack of sleep and booze.

Wvw is only about Zerging because 98% of the players don’t know how to player vs player. I don’t want a pvp arena…. I want there to be dudes who know what the kitten their doing running around trying to kill me and our group. This is open pvp…. I’m biased but I think Sars in previous posts said it best…. There’s 13 kittening capture points on a map or something like that…. There’s a fight at maybe 2? Or one big one?

You guys just don’t have experience fighting players. I would bet 59-60% of hat 98% are here for the first time. Here meaning in a player vs player environment. Everyone Zergs at some point in their career…. At another point in their career if they are half a whitted person, they move up the ladder….. 98% are still on rung number 1.

Man ppl need to get off this go to the mist statement. Its not the same. Mist is a lot of 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. It hardly ever is 5v5 cause u need ppl guarding points. I used to do tourneys and this is how it was, unless its changed in the last 2 months which I doubt.

Why do you need to gaurd points if your in the 5v5 for the fight and not to win or score points?
Thats what interests you guys in WvW right? Not point total or winning but finding “fair fights” right? Testing your skills against another group of players.
Seems to me spvp would be perfect for that. 5v5 and theres no chance of a zerg steamrolling you.

Well after facing HoD zergs all day I now have 246 badges to add to my stockpile. HoD players are far easier to kill than any ive faced so far.
Thankyou for showing up for the first few days at least and all your zerker builds makes farming you thatmuch easier.

Played Age of Conan a while back and they had an armor skin for your shoulders that was a live snake coiled around your bicep area.
He moved around a bit and he would hiss every so often. Very well done.

Oooh, I would replace it with the Ranger class from Age of Conan (pre revamp) . That ranger was fun to play and had some cool build options.

Please put this in. I could care less what the other players attacks look like and not being able to see anything at all in large boss fights or WvW battles besides a giant ball of sparkly mess.
Please give us the option of a slider and an off/on for other players tab.

Agree, pets are garbage in too many situations and warrants a change.
A petless build should be an option for those who love the ranger class but cant stand the broken pet they are burdened with.

Now all thats left is for them to put in a slider for particle effects and an option to turn off/on other players particle effects if you want to.
Age of Conan was pretty rough on peoples rigs and in raids that little option and slider helped alot of people out.
Its hard to imagine why these guys havent had something like this put in by now if not at the games release.

Now you might say, “Well just give me some buffs for when the pet’s stowed to make up the difference”. At this point there’s no reason to ever take the pet out, and what’s worse is that you’re now playing a class that has nothing to set it apart from any other. Bows are not Ranger-exclusive (Warrior, Thief), nor are Traps (Thief), nor are pretty light clothing.

Precisely the point of this entire post. A stowed pet would no longer be granting the ranger anything at all. All former base stat consolidation between ranger and pet would be no more, and everything originally shared with the pet would be returned to the ranger themselves. We’re wanting the ability to go completely petless if we so desire. And for rangers then being outclassed in every conceivable way by every other prof, separate topic entirely, and we’re working on that one too.

As for other profs using bows. True, but I’m sorry, we do it better. Thieves especially, while having pretty and overall very flashy arching shortbow skills, are not terribly useful with them unless perched somewhere firing down on an opponent or being used to run away quickly (all they’re really used for in WvW). Since all other thief shortbow skills are easily sidestep-able.

We -aren’t- outclass -you- and all the other rangers that don’t know how to manage their pets are being outclassed.

And you want the pet to give you the stats you share with it back? Fine, that’d be the equivalent of how you are now since we don’t share a single thing with our pet atm, the pet has its own stats entirely.

PS: I don’t think you’ve actually used or fought against a good shortbow thief if you think all their skills are easily sidestep able and/or useless

Please link one since theres sooo many that have no problems whatsoever with the pet.
Better yet why dont you post one for us so we can see how a pet is supposed to be managed in a fractal.

P.S. The pets are garbage in this game and giving some the option of having one or not needs to be done.

Ranger needs a petless build. Instead of a pet have buffs for each type of pet.
Rangers should have a tracking ability and some stealth skills too.

Actually the best way to go is leave stealth as is and nerf the damage by about 50%.
