update: tech support assured me it was an ISP issue, and that they are “simply a game company” and have no control over it
ISP offered a similar response
since neither can figure this out, take it upon yourself and use a 3rd party program that offers better routing options than anet or your ISP. I stress that so far, this is the only thing that has worked.
I wont mention any specific one by name (to avoid deletion) but they reduce ping and help greatly with packet loss
so now the “no monthly subscription to play” game, requires (at least for me, and some others) a monthly subscription (to another company) to play.
If anyone wants recommendations of where to get this software and how to fix this issue, feel free to message me. It’s very easy to set up and the game now runs flawlessly

if you are experiencing packet loss and disconnects like I have been lately, what worked for me was 3rd party software. I won’t link anything here but if you google “guild wars 2 packet loss” then a few options come up. I’ve been going back and forth with tech support and while I follow their steps to address the issue, this so far has actually worked for me

can we get some sort of fix or real response on this issue? i disconnected 3 times in 10 minutes. a thread i made about this got deleted because i used all caps in one sentence. sorry im mad because your game is unplayable i guess?
im totally certain not using caps is going to further this issue along

same problem and this is nonsense. this isn’t an ISP issue if it’s happening out of nowhere
if everything ELSE that uses internet, is working just fine, then it’s not my ISP. I cant stay connected for longer than 10 minutes. it also seems this is very common in the grove/caledon woods. so… what the hell??? I cant find a fix or anything just a sea of complaints
This is really odd. I been playing on one of my alts today. it was level 43 near 44 when i logged out. I just logged in and my character is level 42. And before anyone asks yes I am 100% certain I was level 43 prior to this
has this happened to anyone? i know having to gain that level back isnt a HUGE ordeal but it is kitten annoying

hi! I was considering buying an account for a friend to play. But I have a few concerns
1. is there any way at all, that by them having an account i paid for, that they would have access to my credit card information/email/full name/etc?
2. what would be the safest way to go about doing this? In case the friendship goes south, I mean. I was considering signing up with all my information and just giving him the log in, that way I could recover it at any time if need be
