Guild Wars 2

A friend actually pointed out that, on a thief, changing a level area in a region, changes the new dodge animation (I don’t play a thief so I have no clue what he is on about) and as I just walked into a different area (discovered) I noticed my facet deactivating, so it may be related to the level of the area and being down scaled, that turns off our facets.

I have noticed the same but I hadn’t connected it to discovering new areas. You’re not alone.

As the title says:

A friend of mine wants to start playing GW2 and is considering the Heart of Thorns prepurchase which includes the base game, if he prepurchases now will he have the core game available to him prior to launch e.g. now?

Hello!

After a long break I recently got back to GW 2 and want to play dragon’s reach part 1. Upon reaching Dry Top however I cannot carry on to the Ley Line Hub. Apparently there are thorns blocking my path which, according to my friend would be removed during Gates of Maguuma. Gates of Maguuma is, however, locked to me because I didn’t log in around that time.

Is there a way for me to continue Dragon’s Reach part 1 or do I now have to BUY Gates of Maguuma (assuming there is no other way to unlock it)?
