so you choose to use a melee weapon and are surprised you can’t see all of a gigantic creature 10x your size?
Really?
The problem here is not with the game.
ok after three pages of blah blah this, and blah blah that, i’m really trying to figure all this out.
Is ascended gear nice? Honestly, I have no idea, I’ve never seen it.
Are the stats better? Not than legendary, but ok, better than exotic.
Are they necessary? Maybe for fractals, but not for anything else.
Maybe I am just playing wrong, and the fractals are wonderful, game changing, and 100% necessary for loving the universe, the game, and life itself.
I certainly didn’t see them that way. I’ve amazingly managed to do everything with only all exotic gear, but if you listened to people here, that must be absolutely impossible.
But it isn’t. This stuff is necessary for one small piece of the game. You can buy it with laurels, craft it, or get it as in game rewards. Now I do agree it would be nice if the stats weren’t different, but it doesn’t bother me.
Honestly? I’d be more impressed with more attractive and interesting legendary designs and effects. And I would love ANet forever if they reintroduced heroes.
On base I like the living story idea, because it was bloody insane that by the end of GW1 I saved the world 4 times, was a hero countless times over, yet these random commoners still hated my guts on sight, even though I was the only reason they were still alive. What I hate about GW2 is that I need to find 4 other people for so much of the content. I hate lfg spam, and so I miss so much stuff. Hopefully the new tool will make finding parties easier.
Why does no one think it was Anet themselves? They all have characters in the game and in some cases, like we saw in GW1, they have dozens of characters. They could easily buy up all the stuff so that normal people can’t take advantage of it. This type of thing happened in GW1 too, the best way to make sure no one benefits from info they should not have is to buy everything up themselves.
It amazes me no matter how easy Anet makes a game, people will still complain. Am I the only one who plays guild wars 2 on not 100% perfect graphics settings? Anet likes exclusive skins, because they are meaningless yet sought after, which after reading this thread is obvious. After seeing certain Guild Wars 1 minis have less than 10 in the entire game, why does anyone think anything from the BLC is going to be common?
Does arenanet need to add BLC tickets to these chests to make everyone understand how rare they want these skins to be? I can only see the uproar when it takes one million blc tickets to get a unique skin.
