Hello, in the spirit of promoting healthy competitions for new and old teams alike, the Bad Boys Teenagers Club will be hosting its first ever 5v5 Conquest tournament sponsored by ArenaNet and the community on Feb 18th. If a duel last longer than 3 mins both players will be put on zerker amulet
NO REVS IT A VANILLA TOURNAMENT. So don’t ask me if Rev without the Elite is allow, that cancer Came with HoT and is NOT Vanilla

Hi, this is my first post on the forum ever, I do not often come to GW2 Forum since it tend to be the place of hate and toxicity. And I was right. Putting that aside, I want to voice some thoughts on the issue that is raging across Reddit, GW2 forum and all the big maps in GW2 atm. HoT price. Please keep in mind if you gonna reply to this thread, be mature and present valid argument, not just blind hate or fanboi loves. And before I even started I want to make it clear that I DO NOT support either side since I think both sides are in the wrongs.

Now, let talk about the people hating on the expansion first; mostly the veterans who been playing the game since launch. I, myself, am a veteran too. I have been playing since beta days back when the mini map was round and animations were crappy, etc. I also bought the game really early and later upgraded to DELUXE version just to support the developers. So I do understand the frustrations and disappointment the core players have on ANET. However, I do not support the entitlement some players think they have. At the end of the day, no one force you to buy the expansion. The price is indeed audacious, and voicing your opinions is cool and all but also keep in mind, ANet did provide us with 2 years of free contents with no sub fee. And yes you can argue that the season 2 you have to buy if you missed out on the 2 weeks period, but then you would be wrong. Because you CAN get it for FREE by converting gold to gems. So yes, the moment you bought GW2 you can literally get anything for free, provide you put in some time to grind or just play the game and let it happen naturally.

Now, to the white knights and fanbois. While some of you present valid argument, some of you fail to put into account that lot of people buy games based on the content and value they provide. And HoT DOES NOT have a value of $50. You can say that there will be more content available in the future, but the practice of asking players to preorder without even a release date is just insulting on ANet part. I will use GW1 expansion as an example, even the most recent expansion of GW1 which is like 7 years ago, priced at $39 still offer more value than HoT. And before you say “But you need to take into account the inflation of the dollar”; mind you, the dollar actually have more value than it does 7-8 years ago since the economy is stable now. (Source: Economic Minor 2nd year, Did a Currency Evaluation and got an A- for my project last Spring) So, please justify to the players who dissatisfied with the audacious $50 price mark that HoT has more value than GW1 Expansions which come with 2 Free character slots, a minimum of 8-10 new maps, 2 professions, etc.

Now, the damage has been done. ANet will never revert the price and the best we could hope for is for them to add a free character slot at MINIMUM to the standard pack. Since the fanbois already preorder so reverting the prices is not possible and will be unfair to them. That my thoughts on the situation, everyone got their own opinion, just respect them and move on with your life. Steam summer sale is going on and GW2 is not the only game in the world. If you feel like $50 is not worth it, I got some recommendation that will be well worth that $50:
+Dark Souls series which is on sale atm will get you a minimum of 150hrs for just $30.
+Witcher 3, best RPG game I ever play in my life. And I have play all the Elder scrolls game, Ultima, Baldur Gate. Logged 197hrs into it already (Spent all the time off works playing it). And that just within 1 month. While it took me 2 years to logged 700 hrs into GW2 so the value of Witcher 3 far surpassed GW2 for me atm.
+GTAV will give you a minimum of 100hrs guarantee.

I could go on but you got my point, do not buy the expansion if you think it is unreasonable and just move on with your life. Stop hating on everything. Devs gotta eat. Is $50 reasonable? No. But that the price ANet decided that their product gonna cost. And ANET has 10000 times less class than CDPRED so do not expect them to listen to the core players like CDPRED did since they have to answer to the big daddies upstair too, so understand that for them. And if you decide to buy the expansion, thank you. You keep the game going.

People are legit delusional, even when there is obvious evidence that if you are good enough you will move out of your division and move to where you belong. Hi, to those of you who hosted, watched, donated, the ANet Devs at the beginning of stream and the guys who helped me recovered during my 1v1 Vanilla Tournament. I am sincerely sorry for the mess at beginning and very thankful for those that stay and help me pull through with the whole tournament. Special thanks to these amazing people who normally BM me a lot but actually help me when it count: Aerodynamique, Jeff, Vallun, Throwny, Infantry, Tormey, Rar, Caspian, Marvin as well as my lurker mods who helped me moderate the cancer viewers during the hate storm.

I am very sorry for the disorganization, I planned to Finish everything on Friday But since I got work related issues I have to pulled a long shift so the next day I was just scramble to get things together. This is the only time I will host this kind of tournament again. To those of you who stay positive and said you wished me to host a 5v5 Vanilla Tournament in the future and even sent me donations already. I am sorry to say atm I will not touch anything related to GW2 Events. This experience made me realize I prefer my meme 20 viewers stream where I just have fun with my boys and do meme stuffs than organizing an event for the community who keep complaining about no events but when there actually one, most of the community just eagerly wait for the chance to burn a person down.

There will be restrictions on certain classes and traitline. This is because due to patches some vanilla specs will be a guarantee win if you roll them. Ex: Warrior with their defense traits. So some restrictions will be place on certain class and some specs will be ban. Also, to clarify, Revenant is NOT allow. Amulet and Runes introduce after HoT is allow. Below is the outline of what are ban. This is not final and more will be add later so feel free to give your suggestion on what should be ban and what not.

Ban list for classes:

Necro: No Minion Mancer build, No Lich Elite
Thief: Shadow Arts Trait is ban
Ranger: If use LB then you not allow to take QuickDraw and Taunt Trait
Engi: Elite Elixir is ban
Condi engi is ban unless you take Battle Ram, Bomb Kit and Rocket Shoes 4Head
Guardian: Bunker and Burn Guard are ban
Ele: LUL
Mesmer: Mantra and Condi Mes is ban
Warrior: Rampage is ban
If pick addrenal health then Heal signet is ban and viceversa
If use shield off hand then passive endure pain is ban
Cannot pick both Addrenal health and Passive endure pain at the same time.
More rules for warrior will be add since the class atm is very overtune.

Abjured get carried by cele amulet, yes. However, they are still the best team NA even now, the reason why every tournament they keep getting worse and worse is because there is no competition in NA, PZ and NL are the only close contenders for abjured. A team cannot get better by playing teams worse than themselves. A team can only improve by playing teams of equal or better skills level than themselves. And if a team scrims against teams worse than them long enough, their skills and rotations level will eventually regress.

This shown very clearly in how little mistakes are made on EU vs NA teams. NA rely too much on team fights while EU rely on outsmarting each others. Rotations trump mechanical skills. Abjured can’t improve themselves if there is no team equal to them, PZ and NL came close to them but they still worse than abjured. I am not fanboying abjured, I’m just putting things into perspectives, saying they are no good with cele amulet is just dumb. They can use the same “kitten” comp they used in WTS and probably will still stomp most teams on NA.

Actually I feel like non-hot balance favors warrior a lot at the present.

For warrior prolly will be something like “If you pick Adrenal Health then you cannot use Heal signet and endure pain Passive” or “if you pick Passive endure pain then you cannot use Adrenal health and shield” etc just giving examples. Gonna see if people gonna actually sign up and play or not first.

I am not the best player by any mean. I am just an average player and I know I will get lot of flames for saying this but this is the truth. If you are really as good as you think then you will have no problem getting minimum 1700+ rating and top 250. Yes even if you are placed in bronze due to “unlucky” Matchmaking. Proofs are Drazeth from Denial; he got placed I think in Silver (Not 100% sure if silver or gold but I think he was placed the lowest out of all the pros) and he soloQ his way to the top 50 in a couple days by carrying scrubs. So yes, If you really “deserve” high plat or Legendary MMR then you can get it by carrying scrubs.

This season is the best one so far. The system is actually working. I opened the leader board and recognized almost everyone one in the top 100. So that mean the system is actually working. It still flawed in some aspects, but keep in mind this is 10000x better than previous 4 season. There is actually some prestige to your Division and MMR now. So to the people who are whining non-stop blaming the system, maybe take a look at yourself first. Maybe you’re not as good as you think you are and need to work on some aspects.

Before I get flame for “oh you’re just all talk, you get carry by mmr, you get lucky placements” etc. Sorry to said that’s all false because I was placed Mid gold and climb to mid plat MMR soloQ. Granted, it’s NA which is a lot easier than EU, but most of the complainers are from NA so I guess it is still relevant. I started duoQ when I hit top 50 because it a 20% less chance of getting a deadweight player on your team. Here is an example of my Second time getting to Legend MMR where my duoQ partner and I had to carry an AFK mesmer who did not use a single portal and gave up when we were ~300 pts behind. I have to tell him to stop afking and straight up said “We will carry” to get him to go to fights and spam buttons. He didn’t Moa Once that game.

So yes, If you TRULY deserve the rank you think you deserve. Then start carrying. And yes I know there are Uncarriable games but those are a few in a dozen. Almost all games are carriable. You should always try your best to carry before blaming your teammates. Look at yourself before blaming your teammate. I know when i’m not playing 100% I would never tilt at teammates but tilt at myself. When I tilt at teammates is when I am not playing at my best.

Hi, I just wanna make this post to show how bad the Matchmaking in PvP and how big the gaps between players are right now. Some of you may remember this from my most recent stream but I just want to highlight this game right here, one of the prime example of why almost none of the players want to touch guild wars 2 PvP this season. ANet need to get a proper tutorial as well as give top tier players incentive to actually stream and teach the lesser skilled player to improve. Because at this rate, more and more players will leave.

This is the clip of my 1v3. Where I straight up 1v3 a thief mes and warrior for a minute, downed 2 and killed one before I actually died. Meanwhile my team barely won two nodes in that amount of time, just to lose it the moment I died. Throughout? this whole game, I was permanently 1v2 and 1v3 while my team doing God knows what and I barely carried my team to win by 10 points. It is honestly baffling.

P.S: I could have live through that 1v3 there and maybe even come out alive, but because DH is not my main, so I didn’t do a good job of keeping CDs of f2 and f3. I could have won that 1v3 and come out on top. So it is technically my faults for not going 10000% to carry them. I was just too triggered at the time.

All of you randoms who said Power rev is bad because of shiro heal nerf are all boosted apes. Power rev is still the best power specs in the game. The must have of every team comp. In fact, they can even remove shiro heal and rev will still be use.

If you have a problem with what I said. Come and 1v1 me for 500g. I’ll stream that and you better pay after I whoop you. Don’t ditch like that one dude who challenged me and didn’t pay.

Hello, I am writing this post to suggest the devs to change the way dishonor works. I was playing earlier with my friend and your server dropped. It took me 3 mins to get back into the game and when I came my team was behind a little but we manage to pull through and win the match. However, despite coming back i still lost -20 MMR. Which gonna take three wins to even make up. Why do I get punish when I won the match and the D/c wasn’t my fault?

This is very discouraging to players who legit want to play the game. I already have less and less reason to PvP in GW2, this just keep adding oil to the fire. Please change how dishonor work and fix your servers before handing out dishonors for players who came back and win the match with their teams. At the very least I should not lose any MMR for your faulty servers.

People are not giving enough credits to OP tbh. At some point he was 1v3ing and down one and came out alive. Basically hardcarrying his team, yes the guards were really bad but tbh i think they would lose that if not for Op trolling outnumbered fights almost the whole game while interacting with his chat at the same time. Pretty entertaining to watch for sure. Just wish the quality was a little better :/
