they did add a whole lot of new achievements with HOT, so it is something that they are paying attention too. its just that the rewards are pointless with the changes to the dailies.

any plans to update the rewards for achievement chests?
seems kinda silly to just get 2 gold for an 18,000 achievement point chest.
it used to be fun, but now why bother collection the APs?

were do you see it for $28 ?
its still $49 in the official store.

I have a few friends waiting for the next sale to purchase HOT.
anyone know when that might be ?

I’d like to see some rewards from the black lion store.
maybe a black lion key or 2 on the bigger chests.
it would be nice to have a few skins only available for the achievement chests.
glider skins, ascended items .. make it a worthwhile goal to accomplish.

I think the concept is nice, its just that the rewards need to be updated.
I’d like to see some new things added, just to freshen it up a bit.

I am coming up on the 16,000 achievement point reward chest, and was thinking that 2 laurels and 2 gold were a pretty sad level of reward for that milestone. shouldn’t the reward be higher then the reward for the daily ? also, some new skins would be nice. maybe some different rewards like a glider skin or ascended items ?

Being in a zerg who are all gliding, while playing Ride of the Valkyries
would be so cool. just saying.

its silly and stupid that gliding is only in the HOT maps,
which I am already getting bored with.

XP should be XP regardless of the source. otherwise why even grant any XP for that activity ?

crafting in tyria used to move the XP bar, but it no longer is counting towards my Mastery XP bar in Tyria. why has crafting experience been removed from the game ?

the new WvW maps are begging for glider use. I have to believe that they were built specifically for gliders.

I agree with the poster who said the JP are already broken in regards to using portals.
Hell I’ve seen a few mesmers making a handy profit portaling people up to difficult finish points on some JPs. The solution of carrying a bundle to complete the JP and get rewards is elegant and simple.

From my perspective as a player, it seems like a huge break in continuity with the world.
I’ve earned the ability to glide, but it only works in this tiny part of the world.

Hell, I’d pay $20 bucks for a trinket in the gem store if it would let me glide everywhere.
I don’t mind offsetting the development cost to make it happen

I play with my cousin who just bought HOT, she has never played a MMO before and we are having fun in the beginning zones. the sad part is that she needs to be level 80 and only in the HOT maps to use the new gliding ability.

imagine if all the people who are playing for free can see gliders in the rest of Tyria ? why not have gliding available in all of the maps for level 80 players who have bought HOT. seems like it would be a great selling point to push HOT sales, and just having that ability on only 4 maps seems so limited.

any chance that this will move out of the HOT maps to the rest of the world ?

Could we add more information to the character selection screen.
I’d like to know my 2 crafting levels and types on each character
in addition it would also be nice to know the level of their personal story quest too.

we are a small group of about 8 people who are looking for other PvX gamers
to quest with. we are a bunch of friendly gamers age’s 25 to 50 who
have fun a few nights a week (most nights for me) between the hours of 7:30pm

when I said map completion I really meant zone completion. my wife is a non gamer and she gets very frustrated in each zone trying to complete it. I agree that you shouldn’t see missing POI’s for the whole map .. but I believe that it would be harmless for the current zone you are in. it certainly would make it easier on those who have difficulty spotting the little tiny map markers

it would be nice if there was a toggle on the world map to turn missing POI’s, waypoints, and quests a bright red color.

I cant tell you how difficult it is to find that one or 2 POI that you need to complete the map. flipping back and forth between the map and the Wiki and trying to count up POI’s is way too much of a PIA.

is there an online guide that explains how all of the elements in WvWvW PVP work ?
I dont mean PVP tactics (i’ve played plenty of PVP).
I mean the big strategic picture:
.. how scoring works
.. how supply works
.. keeps, garrisons, castles
.. the whole big picture

was reading that a patch a few days ago now allows you to use the Bank directly with production of crafted goods. the update note mentioned that they would fix the discovery tab as well — so that you wouldn’t have to drag out all of your mats into your bags to use in the discovery process.

any word on when this might be fixed ?

I like the expiremental nature of discovery .. but dragging (and fitting)
30 cooking ingreidents into my bgs each time is really tiresome.
