1. Mesmer downstate. More often than not the blink puts you further into danger than helps you. Sure it is an almost guaranteed way to avoid the first stomp, but that’s just delaying the inevitable.

2. Lack of sustained pressure.Dont get me wrong, our power / condi burst is some of the best in the game, but i find that our sustained pressure is quite low and if you miss or have your burst dodged / negated it leaves you in a bad spot.

awesome build / vid as always Osi, looks a lot like what i use to roam in wvw. The main issue that i have is in domination, picking between mind wrack damage , illusion damage, halting strike and cleansing conflageration. It’s something im still testing but the build feels quite strong .

yeah, i would love to have sort of like an Phantasmal Assassin, where you summon him and he leaps to your target (a-la the swordsman) but he deals less damage and applies poison. Heck you might even be able to give him an active ability where you can sacrifice him and teleport to his location and deal small aoe torment or something. Ppl have been crying to make phantasms a more active playstyle so this could be a step in that direction.

i’ve always wanted MH dagger. Sort of a mid-range option, kinda like rangers MH axe meets mesmer staff.

Scepter is very good in the group of condition / hybrid builds out there right now using Debilitating Dissipation (chaos V) as it provides pretty good condi pressure with it’s auto attack and it’s block is amazing. The ‘not really’ portion comes in because atm condition damage just doesn’t compete with power damage in PvE, it is something they’re looking at balancing but atm it’s just not worth it, but scepter remains quite good in WvW / PvP

@FranzM I kinda like your idea of confusion being more like Ineptitude was in gw1 where you pretty much negate the next attack and take damage, and with multiple applications it could scale the damage, but the stacks would be removed once used.

You’d have to look into balance issues but you could also word it like “interrupt next skill your opponent uses and deal X damage” and it would provide more synergy with interrupt builds.

Either way it needs to be looked at seeing as we have traits and class mechanics based around this condition (ahem, Cry of Frustration), and with it being nerfed it put a lot of those traits ect in a bad spot.

Also if people are having troubles with the timing of when to enter the portal (i know i was at first), if you drop your portal just as you drop someone, it usually lines up quite well. Works because the delay on the portal and the delay before you can stomp someone is about the same.
