- More skills, usable with any set of weapons, except maybe some that have effects like kd, bleed to slashing, and some other. Basically the ability to make our skill bar, the way we want, with more options and not force us to a limited few premade builds, that we have from the start. About 20 skills for eternity are too few, even if all were useful.

-The same for traits. Some are not even any good. And don’t bind weapons with trait lines. That limits even more the already too few options.

-Make an archer class. I mean by giving more skills, not a new class. I don’t want a pet, but i want bow/sniping. I am sure others too, but in any case pet dmg is too large part of ranger’s with no choice to play with another style. I don’t remember any other game having this limitation, to this extend.

-Give undead some AI. I know they are undead, but half the time they attack anything, golem…, or sit and watch. I don’t expect you will ever allow a real minion master, but at least that golem shouldn’t act like that.

-Elites usuable in PVE. A cd of 2-3 mins, is too long. I know a game that utilizes elites very well. It’s called guild wars, maybe it could give you an idea. Oh, ofcourse more elites. Three four choices, and most times just choosing the lesser bad just to fill the slot or as a panic button is disapointing at least.

-More skins. I get it, you like robes, but this is not robe wars. Just a few different skins, high heels, daggers that don’t need tenths of g. and look more like shi and less like butter knives. There is nothing bad if a blade looks like one. I don’t mind the existance of any shape, but i just can’t find many skins i like.

-I wish i could see backfire, interupts, protection spells, chain skills, hexes, etc but i know 2 is not GW.

-Instead of playing snow fights, maybe fix bugs…….It’s about time.

-Balance is not a W beeing able to snipe at 1200, but a ranger not. Propably an eng. should also have a weapon kit with sniping skills. Confusion should kill an attacker before the mesmer goes down. Many things like those.

-I don’t like the healing. If it goes up there will be healing classes, but like this is just a low regen. Don’t have any ideas about that, but i can’t say i like it.

-I would love to see hexes. Mesmers and necros without hexes are just another dps class. I know, no chance for this.

-It’s weird seeing “LFG farming x” so often in a game advertising there will be no griding.

-Allow crafting different skins,( without farming for a month. )

-Many utility skills need a fix to be useful.

-Poison in pve seems useless.

-Better rewards in world event maybe

-Lower the price for tele., and maybe repairs.

I can thing more, but i just loged on after a couple of weeks and still i don’t see anything fixed or changed.

I have 4 lvl80, ele,thief,necro, guard, most of the rest classes are close to 80. I only PVE.

Thief does not have the best mobility. Survivability is low. Aoe is good enough to get some drops basically. What some one said, sry cant remember the name, but i liked it “yes that 30/30/30/30/30 builds are very good” , so all haters stop saying that thieves do ALL in one.
What i would like is to have more flexibility in skill selection. If i build a single target high burst, i dont want aoe on my skll bar. If i go condition there is no need for backstab. It’s more game mechanics, but this is what i want. There are 2 sets of weapons anyways, so you can set 2 skill bars, for diferent situations.

Also i don’t really get cond. thief. Running with pistols is a very weak necro or ele. Using daggers for cond. feels kinda silly. Melee, low armor,low health and dots don’t feel right. I know you will dodge and use a couple of skills, but still i rather go war. for melee/cond.

It’s nice that anet asks our opinion, but first fix the bugs so skills work as they intended, then get rid of the haters that call for nerfs (on any class), and just say random “facts” that are nowhere close to the truth, and then ppl with more experience than me in pve and pvp can say what they see. Now we see few build choices, useless skills, and bugs. Maybe fix these first and then nerfkill the thief.

But that’s my opinon. I could say my thoughts about the class, but other problems are more important now, i think.

why do ppl always cry for nerfs? Why thief class is eventually what ppl are crying for the nerf? Not every build should be able to kill everythng, and not every fight should go n the same way. I don’t lke the nerfs on theves because this is just a " mom a thief killed me, make it stop" , but don’t nerf constantlly everything….Only a couple of sugestions on this topic too, i’ve learned nothing, just a cry for nerfs, and l2p everything else. Nerfs is not a fix, but ppl that try to do sth are usually not the ppl buying gems….

Basically i agree, although 2 secs to react, to press a key is too long….Maybe i am used to gw1, where 2 secs are too long for even a spell….

I play all classes in pve,most are 60-80lvl, so i can’t speek for pvp, but i don’t think this is a pvp forum. If i want substained dps i go W, if i want suport i go ele or G mostly. If i want spike dmg, i go thief(still around 11k hp though),but keep some tricks to live longer. If anet nerfs the dmg i really dont see any reason for me to log on my thief. If a thief goes down in 3-4 hits, he must be able if he does all correct, to kill faster. Otherwise, its a free kill to others. And i’ve have tried other builds, they are fine, but that doesn’t mean that a spike build must go away….And still if i don’t get the target to 1/2 hp, i will have to use other things to stay alive. It feels too glassy in pve, so i think in pvp thief will be a lot more easy to kill. If ppl want to live after a full spike, and still be able to have a ton of dps, they want to be op., or simply kill the thief/spike.

But i must say i am really disapointed with anet, going for nerfs because of the cries/trolling while there are other problems/bugs that, i feel are far much more important for the game. Things like necros’ issues, maps geting empty etc, that can kill the game.

How would you fix the warrior?

I play all classes, pve, haven’t done much pvp. But i do believe that “crying” for warriors is strange. I understand that many skills are usless, and many things need to be fixed, but some things i see you asking are maybe too much. For example, why frenzy is not the same as thieves’ and rangers’? Because W are heavy armor, high hp, at least good dps,so they need to give a bit more. A chance to negate incoming attacks? Heal is bad? Comparison with guardian? You say you don’t want a W to be G, but …. And i dont mean to focus on one coment, sry about that, but too many things are said. From what i’ve read W has problems in some pvp aspects, but from my experience W is maybe the “easiest” class, high dps, high survivability, deefinetelly not the worse downed, and i never expected from a W to have as many “tricks” as a thief or a mesmer, or any class.
Just saying that many coments feel more like “gimme an i win botton”, that a suggestion. I mean if W have a 3secs or more immob., while in the highest armor, and with the highest hp, and maybe immune to cc, so they can unleash a ton of dmg, that would be a bit too much, no? But i don’t pvp, so my opinion is maybe worthless…..

I play pve, till i got to 80 i’ve tried all wepons and most builds, and read many posts. So my opinion is based on these.
If a battle is longer than 3-5 secs can we talk about a glass cannon?
If the target is not dead after a couple of attacks, will a thief have the chance to “win”?
If the target doesn’t see the thief “sneaking” for the kill, or dodges too late, is it the classe’s fault? I don’t mean learn to play, but sudden burst of dmg is what makes a sin…
How many attacks it takes for a dps, not necessary glass cannon, build to take down a “sin”
How often can a thief get this burst? Even if it get it right every time is once/45-60 secs?
If others don’t even see the thief, is it the classe’s problem? I mean, the thief sees the target and got into range, why the target did’t see the thief?
If the target sees the thief and gets an aegis,blind,dodge,any cc or sth, will he be dead? If not who has the advandage?
I don’t mean to be stronglly on one side, but to counter a “sin” others must react to their playstyle. Wearing gear, shouldn’t counter the burst, just soften the blow. Running around not seeing the thief is a good way to die. Getting hit by someone that dies in 2-3 hits should kill you in 2-3 hits. Especially when the thief builds just for that. Stealth is nice…Drop an aoe, hit 4 with an ele/dagger off hand,5 with ranger longbow, where will the thief run then?
I understand that the burst is a lot. But if they take away that, they need to match it with sth else. If thieves do the same as a warrior, they must have the same survivability. If they match the eles dmg, they must have the same mobility/range/support/heals etc for any class. Taking away the burst without giving sth back that is the same worth, is just stupid, and killing the class. And even if they do, will the resault be a “sin”.?
