A head piece that complements how kitten Nightfury skin is.
Something more lava, earthy or like ‘demonic’ for lack of a better term. Would also like to see heavier looking light gear.
^ Yes just as Akkeros suggests, that was just an example.
You should delete it.
BUT FOR SURE that needs to be changed.
Anet! Please make it so other toons can hold soulbound items just not equip them or use them.
This is one area where there is no reason not to let you salvage soulbound gear on other toons if its on your account.
Its fine. You don’t need infinite tools on each toon. Pick your harvesters and buy for the rest as many people above are explaining, there isn’t too much need for it.
Convenience yes but if we’re talking value, GW2 if the most value efficient MMO EVER. I’d like to cite the lack $10/month you’re paying. Buying the tools is a convenience item sorry but if you want multiple toons to have that convenience then they should each get them.
As long as they are account bound I find it totally useful because I choose who should have all 3 at any time, particularly on the days when I decide to go out harvesting.
Hey all,
I’ve never seen someone address the difficulty and inefficiency of managing multiple armor sets in the bank or their inventory.
GW2’s ethos is about fun and maximizing the time we spend doing things we like and not the filler stuff to set that up too much but this is a glaring time suck when I play and a waste of inventory space.
I have several 80’s which of course each are geared specifically to a given build, Power Nec, Meditation Guardian whatever, but I use those 80’s for more than one way of playing. My Necro has a power build, a condi build and sometimes for FUN a minion master build.
But to make them viable I have to gear each of those builds to my one Necro which means he has 3 sets of armor, weapons, trinkets, rings and amulets.
That is more then 36 inventory slots and bank slots worth even when I have spent the gems to support Anet to expand the bank slots.
Love the variety in the game but there should be a management system separate from the bank or some other tool to manage armor sets.
This is further complicated when you consider that each of his 3 sets are soulbound which means my Mesmer if I want him to use a zerker set needs to get his own other light set. I don’t mind that and find the acquisition of gear fun to some degree,
BUT when I have to sift through my bank to find all the corresponding gear pieces that are soulbound to the one toon I’m playing can be a major pain and suck way more time than it should, particularly when a raid or pvp group is waiting on me.
AND there is NOTHING WORSE than heading out into a fight being destroyed then realizing you took the wrong pair of pants literally, without the stats you needed. You brought your zerk pants to a fight where you were meant to be more tanky in Soldier gear.
I was thinking perhaps GW2 and Anet should consider an Armor locker sort of system. Similar to the wardrobe except attached to the bank, it could be several tabs that can be purchased for some amount of gems or gold that give the player a duplicate character ‘mannequin/dummy Hero Armor page’ that they can slot any ONLY SOULBOUND item into. That way if I want 4 armor sets for my Necro and 2 for Guardian and 3 for my Mesmer I can buy the corresponding number of tabs/lockers and fill them with the armor sets for each toon. Since it is soulbound you can’t cheat and stuff items to be sold in there or mix toon 1’s soulbound gear in with toon 2’s.
This is obviously a rough idea I had for the frustration that is currently filling up my bank tabs with soulbound gear rather than other consumables or other more useful stuff.
In any case, if the locker thing doesn’t work then some kind of TAG system so I can have the game remember the gear I’m wearing as a set I name “Necro Zerk” or “Frontliner WvW Guard” whatever, but running around in PvE and deciding I want to drop in to support my guild in WvW is a lot more of a hassle than you’d think when I have to sit in front of the bank clerk for a few minutes seeking the gear and talent switch I need to do to get out there and actually be of some use to my team.
All of this is just a thought,
I’d like to hear what people think about this and if they also find it to be frustrating to manage multiple sets of gear.
Cheers.
