Guild Wars 2

Well as a member of SoR, I would like to extend a open hand to any guilds that may want to join our server as well. Specifically HB from Kain, I would really enjoy an outstanding guild such as HB to fight side by side with against JQ, BG, SoS or whoever else comes to Tier 1.

Since this thread has become more about guilds/players jumping servers and less about the actual Wv3ing, I was curious about something.

Correct me if I’m wrong please, I am generally curious.
From my understanding, the guild PRX (the professionals), were on the SoS server and then right before the server transfer fees, left to JQ.

Why?
SoS has always been a tier 1 server, they didn’t have transfers hurt them like SBI did, and the jump was too another server that was already in Tier 1. I would really prefer a commander from PRX to elaborate on this decision if possible. I don’t see any problem in the transfer, as every guild/player can do as they please and it doesn’t bother me.
But when most guilds leave, its usually because…

1. May be the only guild on a server trying, so they move to a more organized server.
2. Leave to play against people from previous server who are high skilled as well for a challenge.
3. Friendships in RL
And maybe a few other reasons.

I really am curious is all because that transfer does baffle me. Thank you.

Could someone explain a little more into how acquiring the different armor sets work? At lvl 80. From my understanding
You can buy exotic (the “best”?) sets with gold.
Use dungeon coins from explorer mode to get dungeon sets.
Use the Laurel to buy only certain kinds of armor, like trinkets?
You can also tailor a full set as well, lets say you are at max cap lvl for a tailorer.

And also, there are three tiers of dungeon armor, tier 3 being the “best”?

They limited the healing a Guardian can do already with stacking because it was blatantly over powered. Its just part of it being Wv3, where numbers play a significant role and should stay that way. There are a lot more bugs, fixes, and tweaks that should be handled before any significant changes should be applied to the game.

Bring on all challengers! Except JQ, their forces are everywhere now and its become sickening. A playfull fun kind of sickening though

I skimmed through a lot of the thread just to see what was goin’ on, but I see a lot of 2v1 2v1 2v1 here and there throughout the whole thread. It’s part of the reason why I stopped posting on these forums. Sorry for not fully reading for content then, just the number of times I have seen 2v1 posted in the thread alone was making me go, kitten this doesn’t change ever huh..

I started the first post about 2v1 & everyone that went with it turned it into a drinking game. It seemed as if everyone on these servers understand that its part of the game, part of the tactics, and is expected of high skill level servers. Sure on other threads you may see people using 2v1 derogatory & complaining as to why that’s why they are losing. But here, as from all the post, we take it as a positive & welcome the challenge. Sorry you got the wrong impression but this thread has been great, the gaming has been great, & i think everyone is going to keep it that way.

Sanctum of Rall Borderlands @ SoR Garrison (center top of map) JQ is hitting from one side has west wall down & SoS is attacking from east side has east side wall down. Now they are just circling and not attack each other at all. The Tier 1 hazing has begun that is for sure.

Only a chance for bad servers to be a bit upper, but in the short time they will going down of the table anyway…

Completely agree with this. People, there is a reason why servers are ranked & its because those servers are better than yours. Plain and simple. The system works! Nothing needs to be fixed and its ridiculous people believe it doesn’t work. That’s why some servers are “hardcore”, some are “rp”, and some are casual. The largest servers will almost always be the “hardcore” ones and those servers will almost always easily"defeat" the less populated, less dedicated player base.

SBI was tier 2, now they are expected to drop to tier 4 and its not b/c the system is broken. Its b/c it works. Half their WV3 population left, it showed as they started to get rolled and now they will be dropped to a expected level of play in Tier4. How can you people say the system is not working?

What I don’t understand is why not put the servers in their perspective tiers and just reset from there. I see no reason behind setting everyone to “0” then just start random groupings of tiers. Nobody in their right mind would think grouping JQ with tier 6 servers or BG with tier 7 servers will help in any way. From my understanding that’s what a full reset would cause. The glicko system shouldn’t account for server jumps anyways. It doesn’t need to. If a servers top 5 WvW guilds leave and that server then starts to get steamrolled, then guess what? They aren’t a tier 2 server anymore. Which is exactly what is happening with SBI. And if a tier 7 server gains a lot guild\players that make that server dominate the WvW map, then they too, more than likely, aren’t a tier 7 server any longer. Which is what seems the current system is doing. So how can you say its not working, when that’s what should be happening?
