I completely agree with you. Just being able to duel anywhere can spice things up a lot! It will not only help the casual players (or hardcore) but also the RPers. It is quite annoying to travel to the HotM first and look for an empty room just to do a simple duel.
I give you one simple piece of advice, if you see a warrior with mace/shield then run. I have yet to lose against a longbow/shortbow ranger with my mace/shield warrior since I run the trait “reflect missiles while blocking”, let alone all the stuns/dazes and condition removal I have!
Hello! I was wondering who else thought that destroyer weapons(animation) looked a bit disappointing? If you take a look at the screenshot, then you’ll realize the animation actually makes the weapon look worse. Just imagine the weapon without the effects, it would look a lot better. Either that or add a better visual effect to it!
I know the devs of arenanet are very busy with other (more important) issues, so I know this won’t be prioritized but I see this as a bug similar to the ghastly weapons(fixed) which can be easily fixed/added etc. .
That’s a bit exaggerated bantos.1542. Gw2 is not a P2W game.
Please, spare me the wails of how “expensive” siege equipment is.
If you take a single tower, which is really not hard at all, you’ll get enough silver to buy 1 siege equipment already. Since there are at least 5 to 30 people storming that tower there will be enough money made to buy several siege blueprints.. And this is excluding the random drops you get from mobs. My friend and I for example have gotten 4 siege golems already, pure luck I guess. Just did some jumping puzzle in eternal battleground as well as in the borderlands.
Back on topic: Gear does matter in 1vs1s but did 1vs1 really change the flow of the WvW winning or losing? I guess not. BTW, anybody can get access to exotic gear rather easily. If you aren’t willing to spend even “couple days to a week” for a game…now why are you playing it? It isn’t even grinding, you can vary the gameplay through doing some dungeons here, meta events there, WvW here, crafting there. Lot’s of options so I don’t see a need to complain about it. As I mentioned before, if you aren’t having fun with this game, then go play something else.

- What is the best way to heal ourselves ? So far, I think the Signet of Malice (which heals us every time we do damage) is by far the most healing/minute. The passive healing is so good, that using the active ability is almost a form of suicide. Do we have any other ways to heal ourself ?
- Do we have any way to heal our party ?
I think these 2 fall in the same category. What new players need to learn asap is combos are vital in this game for fast and smooth progress in dungeon/personal story etc.
For example, as a thief you can use Heartseeker to jump through a water combo field (Ranger’s healing spring, Elementalist’s staff water magic). This jumping will cause a small water burst to surround you when you land the heartseeker, healing allies in the vicinity for 300~ (lvl 80) depending on your healing power.
If you have a necromancer friend, he can put down a dark combo field (we thieves have a “dark” combo field too = Shadow refuge!), which makes every ranged projectile shot through it (pistol/bows/rifles) do lifestealing dmg.
These are just few examples on how combos work, ofc there will be many more but I leave it to you for exploring
